What You Can Expect
Vienna Evening Walking Tour
Continue to another famous Vienna church, St Stephen’s Cathedral – a Gothic stunner built in the 1100s. Admire its much-photographed limestone exterior in the evening light, and then walk past Hofburg Palace, the former imperial residence of one of Europe’s most important royal dynasties, the Habsburg family.
Next, visit Heroes’ Square, where Adolf Hitler made his ‘Anschluss’ announcement in 1938, and pass by Minorite Church (or the Italian National Church of Mary of the Snows, as it’s formally known).
Throughout your walking tour, your guide will regale you with interesting facts and anecdotes about the food, people, culture and architecture of this historic Austrian city. Discover neighborhoods like the old Greek quarter and old Jewish quarter, and receive tips on restaurants, bars and cafes to visit during your stay, including where you can find the best Wiener Schnitzel.
Your tour will end back up at the starting point, from where you can head off to whatever nighttime activity you have planned!
