It was worth the money to purchase this tour. We go to see most of Washington on an air conditioned bus. In addition we got a free river cruise.

overall it was OK .at the end of day one it took nearly 40 minutes before a bus picked us up at the Lincoln Memorial stop at 23rd and congressional. The second day it was raining so our grandson could not be up top to view the city for the first time.

It's a good way to know the most important places in Washington, it would be better if the buses run more frequently. They dont run every 20-30 min as advertised. The costumer service phone line not helpfull at all.

We used this type of tour in NYC and SFO and had good experiences, This one was OK but badly organised initially, as once we picked the tickets up in Union Square, the bus had no commentary, retunred to base, chnged buses, then changed again and was delayed for 30 minutes! After that it improved. The GPS based commentary is consistent, but when you go on it more than once, you learn nothing new, where as withe the real tour guides, you learn new things every time.

Newest buses on town, everything was find but I would recommend the company to brake or separate the route of the tour so you don't have to repeat all the route twice just to get to a single location of the tour, sometimes is faster to take the Metro rail especially in DC. Also I would like to comment that some of the buses had a extremely dark tint windows and one of the buses had a mirror problem so it made the tour even slower when they switched us to another bus.

Our experience with Hop on Hop off wasn't great. there wasn't clear signs where to wait for a bus, we asked their staff and we got different answers, both wrong. twice we waited 45mins for a bus. Not very organized. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless it got better.

I believe you were a little overwhelmed by the number of customers you tried to service. The early warm weather combined with the early peak of the cherry blossoms caused overcrowding of your buses. The heavy traffic didn't help but that is out of your control. In addition, many of the buses that we rode on had no AC on the lower level.

I have used hop-on-hop off tour buses in London, Paris, bristol, New York and Philadelphia and found them useful and worth for the monsy, My washington experience was worst of all, stops at most places are not well marked, some of the stops are too far and loops do not cover main areas on interest in proper manner and despite paying a hefty amount you have to walk much to get the buses and the desired attractions. Buses claim service till 6 pm but practically you wont find them after 5.20 pm, overall this service badly needs some serious review and overhaul.

very disorganised, could not achieve the promised schedule so we wasted a lot of time waiting for the buses.
On most buses the recorded summary either failed of was not played at the correct time

There are no signs as where the bus stops so it is difficult to find the first time where to get on. The boat cruise which is included also has a schedule that the bus may or may not be aware. We went on the yellow line specifically for the cruise only to find that it did not run that morning. The bus didn't tell us that when they dropped us off.

Very disappointed with this - "Commentary" was taped and on several occassions driver put on wrong tape or did not link it with where we were! Also drop off, pick up points not easy to find, apparently not allowed to put up signs, yet other companies had signs up. there are 3 different routes round the city but this is not explained and you have to find it out for yourself! Drivers/staff were not very knowledgable when we asked questions, gave up in the end.

This was a disappointment. I have done many of these hop on hop off tours and this one would have to be the most confusing. The buses between other companies all look similar so you cannot differentiate which is the company you have a booking with. The buses need to advertise more prominently which loop they are doing. The staff I found more interested to talk amongst themselves instead of their passengers.
