Read what other Viator.com travelers think about the Admission to Washington DC Newseum. What they loved, what they liked and what they think could be improved, it's all here to help you make the most of your next trip.
A great place to visit. Perhaps pricey admissions, but well worth the experience. Lots of helpful folks to assist and direct. Well laid out and orderly. Definitely do it from the top down, but hit the 4D movie first. For the news junkie, it could be an all day affair.
United States of America
Great place to visit, very informative, and my two kids ages 15 and 8 Loved it. A must go if you're in DC. Btw on Sunday you have free parking, no meters YourWelcome
This was an excellent museum, I especially enjoyed the exibition of the pictures of the year.
What a great place to go to! Be prepared to spend the whole day there as there is a lot to see and enough time to actually see it. One of the exhibits worth noting is the FBI exhibit. Want to see the house that the "unabomber" lived in?? I was literally blown away by being able to touch the Berlin wall without traveling to Germany?? Head to the Washington DC Newseum! 3 it!
We spent about 4 hours and I could still go back for more. So many interactive things for my kids (8, 10, and 11) and so many cool artifacts. We absolutely loved it!
Absolutely fantastic museum. Highly interactive and we could've spent a lot longer than the three hours we spent there. The design of the museum is beautiful, but I found the layout to be confusing and circuitous from floor to floor. My kids especially loved the 4D movie. My favorite part was the timeline display of all the newspapers, absolutely fascinating. We would definitely go back!
Great information. I went with my teenage son and he enjoyed it too. We were visiting from Australia.
I loved this museum. I got to touch the Berlin Wall, walk through the Anchorman Exhibit, and see hundreds of news articles! The entrance ticket even allowed me to come back the next day (which is so worth it because you need many hours to cover everything).
Totally a wonderful experience , love how it is set up and you can linger as long as you want in any area. We throughly enjoyed our time spent in the Newseum, the highlight of our trip!
Educational and interesting particularly to 'Baby Boomers'. Artifacts such as a section of the Berlin Wall and the communication tower that sat a top the World Trade Center are on display. It brings you behind the news and pays tribute to those who have taken great personal risk to report it over the years. Great museum.
Very interesting. need a good day to see all. Need more organisation in cafeteria during busy periods.
The most fascinating exhibit ever seen! On Penn ave. minutes from the White House and Capitol.
U.S.A. presents its history as seen through the media lens with brilliance and panache.
If you only see one museum in Washington, this is it!!
On a week day this museum is not crowded. Our pre booked tickets were handy but not necessary since there was not much of a crowd. Therefore the experience was good. One could easily spent half a day seeing the exhibits ,
Amazing. My husband, boys and I spent two days there and learned so much about our history and the mediums that have preserved it. Some exhibits were tough to take in - particularly the 9/11 exhibit - but these are our nation's stories.
Newseum is a wonderful and different museum experience. Recent history as told through reporting provides something for everyone. Although be cautious of graphic content for younger children.
A lot of great collection of NEWS!! One can easily spend an entire day in the Nuseum!
Viator made it very easy for us to breeze through the line, in order to enter this museum. I would recommend that everyone go through Viator for all of your tours and I hope that this review will make it easier for the next person to experience such a magnificent museum such as this.
The Newseum was great....it wasn't that crowded so viewing the exhibits was easy. I get the concept of the building itself NEWS needs to be transparent!
This was simply tickets to enter, so we appreciated having paid ahead of time.
