Bus trip was relaxed. Guides were very informative--Gettysburg very interesting. All in all, a great way to spend the day learning and seeing history.

The pick up place was not clear at all, which almost caused us to miss the bus. Other than that the tour was wonderful! A must see for anyone visiting Washington. My only other complaint was the bus was not in good shape, and while the bus driver was on his phone describing to the dispatcher, the dispatcher seemed unconcerned. We felt the problems in the way the bus was riding. The bus driver was not exaggerating. It was not a sound bus for that trip.

A fantastic tour with a very passionate and well read tour guide who loves what he does. And it was also great bang for your buck with a ten hours plus tour coming in at under 100.

WOW! What a fantastic trip! Viator hosted a very organized and professional trip. We met the Bus at the "sightseeing center" at Union station. The bus driver gave us an informed tour as we traveled through the lovely country side until we got to the small historic town. That's where we stopped for a bathroom/snack-food break. At this local location we also were asked to step into a small room in the back of the building, where they had a massive 3-d model of the battle. They gave us a short over view of the destructive battle that took place over a three day period. After the show, we met-up with our field tour-guide. A very nice local man that gave a detailed tour as we drove around the massive site. We stopped four times at battlefield spots - at each spot he gave a brief synopsis of what took place at these spots before we were aloud the walk freely around before continuing the tour. We stopped for lunch at a buffet restaurant. The food was home-made - yummy! We finally got back on the buss and made a final stop at the gigantic visitors center, where my wife bought every gift in sight. The bus took us back to D.C.

This trip was amazing. It was so nice to not have to worry about lunch and what exactly we were going to do on our trip to Gettysburg, it was all planned for us!

I highly recommend this tour. It is well worth the money. The drive is almost 2 hours, but the driver played the movie "Gettysburg," which made the time pass quickly. The tour includes a guided tour through a Civil War home in Gettysburg where you learn about the Shriver family...a truly interesting story. Then there was a 2-hour battlefield tour. The bus drives you to various points on the battlefield, all while you learn about what happened at that point in the battle from the guide. Then you are allowed to then go explore a bit at several of the battle's pivot points. There are also monuments all along the field that are neat to see. Our guide was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We then ate a wonderful lunch and were allowed to explore the town of Gettysburg for about an hour, including the place Lincoln delivered his Gettysburg Address. The tour ends seeing a large Gettysburg diorama and then back on the bus to finish up the movie "Gettysburg" and head back to Union Station in DC. We made it in by about 6 pm. It was altogether the best day of my DC vacation.

The only concern I had was the length of time it took to receive confirmation about the trip. I reserved on a Saturday, but didn't receive confirmation until Tuesday morning for a Friday trip. The trip itself was wonderful.

We enjoyed the tour very much. Our guide was wonderful, and lunch was good too. Yes, we would do it all again if we could.

The directions to the bus terminal were horrible. The trip itself was good, with lots of info but limited stops.

It was a long day but well worth the trip to see Gettysburg. Big comfy bus and a very knowledgeable guide regarding the battle and what transpired during those 3 days. Only downside was that lunch was supposed to be included and was not.

Enjoyed the tour guides. Would have enjoyed spending time at the visitors center as opposed to the Shriver House.
