Mt. Vernon is beautiful. The boat ride is very nice but they could definitely upgrade their food and beverage options. Also visitors should be aware that walking in areas of Mt. Vernon can be challenging. The walk from the beach to George Washington's tomb and the "Woodland Trail" are quite the workout.

The boat ride was a nice change from a motor coach. I feel there should have been a sign informing us of a tram as that climb to the house was very difficult. Overall it was very enjoyable.

I found the staff of the tour company to be really helpful. The boat was clean and in good repair. You get enough time to have a look around, eat and buy souveniers. Overall it was a good tour.

The mansion and visitor centers at Mount Vernon are definitely worth seeing. The folks in period costumes were knowlegeable about the roles they were playing and had interesting stories to tell if you asked questions. We could have used more time there.
Narration on the boat portion of the tour was rather lean - there should have been a bit more to it. It was interesting seeing the planes overhead going to land or take off from Reagan airport. We got great pictures.

My two nieces and I enjoyed this trip. Everyone was very helpful and on time.
The only problem we had was finding Pier 4. We needed an exact address to put into the gps. We passed the Washington Monument at least four times before we found the pier.

boat conditions inside were FREEZING cold.
tour guide could be heard clearly and was excellent!
staff should be more cordial to guests and not just to themselves during cruise.
written directions to pier were exptremely poor for those not accustomed to the area. (a simplified map should be included.)

The excursion was really outstanding. The voyage in the Potomac river was extraordinary, the cruise was very comfortable and the staff so kind. The visit to Washington´s house was really interesting, letting us learn details about his life and the American History. Everything well organised!! Thank you

Great tour. Went with my 12 year old granddaughter and she really enjoyed it. I had visited Mt Vernon by bus tour and found this as a good arrival alternative.

I really enjoyed the day cruise and my time at Mount Vernon. It was well worth the money! The only things that could have made it a five star excursion would include more time at Mount Vernon (30 minutes would be perfect) and an "adults only" line for refreshments on the boat. The boat had designated areas for the students on field trips and that made my time on the boat much more enjoyable.

The ship was very nice and clean. The crew was responsive and very professional. Although the ride from DC to Mt Vernon was beautiful and informative, I wished there was an opportunity to see some of the monuments in DC from the River and I wish we would have been able to get a closer view of Mount Vernon from the River. The only other suggestion I would have is that during the busy season that you provide more time at Mount Vernon. We did not have enough time to see all of the grounds because of the amount of time it took to get through the mansion and certain exhibits because of the large amount of people.

Nice excursion on the Potomac to Mount Vernon and back. The day 's weather was beautiful so, naturally, nealry all of the passengers sat on top. Unfortunately, you hear zero of the historical commentary when sitting up there, even if you plant yourself nearly directly beneath the speaker system. So that aspect of trip was disappointing. Otherwise, the time allowed to tour around Mount Vernon was just right. This was a great, unique way to visit a historical landmark and enjoy the river!

We enjoyed Mt. Vernon but the tour guide on the boat needs a great deal of help. He read the entire way and laughed at his errors.
