In the afternoon you'll experience the history and majestic scenery of Virginia and Washington DC on your visit to Mount Vernon. Along with visiting George Washington's famous home, gardens and farm, you'll also step off the coach to visit Christ Church (not available during church services).
You'll then return to Washington DC to enjoy dinner at the restaurant of your choice at Union Station (not included in fare) before taking your evening tour of the national monuments flooded in lights. What a sight!
You'll step off the coach to visit the Jefferson, Lincoln, Vietnam, Korean and FDR memorials, and experience breathtaking views from the roof of the Kennedy Center (if available).
Views from the coach include the quaint seaport town of Old Town Alexandria, Fort Washington, the Pentagon, the US Capitol, Library of Congress, Supreme Court, House and Senate Office Buildings, Pennsylvania Avenue, the White House, Capitol Reflecting Pool, Georgetown and Marine Corps (Iwo Jima) Memorial.
