The bus driver was great. He told us everything worth seeing.

Mt. Vernon is definitely worth it; however, 2 to 2.5 hours is not enough time to visit the entire site. I would say 4 hours is recommended, at least. The night tour was nice, but some of the monuments were not really visible at night, like the Vietnam Memorial, the Korean Memorial, the FDR Memorial. It also was a very long day, so be sure to get rest prior to going. And if you do not enjoy walking a lot, perhaps this is not the tour for you. Our bus driver/guide was very informative and pleasant to spend the time with.

The Mt Vernon trip was outstanding and the bus driver was enthusiastic, informed, and involved. On the other hand, although the Washington After Dark tour was excellent from an experience point of view, the bus driver/tour guide was unenthusiastic and even rude to several people. He was disrespectful at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. And the trip back to the hotels was a a nightmare, literally the tour ended at 1015pm and we did not get back to our hotel until 1230 because the bus driver drove us into Virginia to let a few people out at far-away hotels. Most of the people were so disgusted that they simply asked to be let off the bus in downtown DC in order to take cabs back to their hotels.

Only had about 10 minutes per stop, which included walking about a block each way. Mt. Vernon was great, but took 1 hour to get into the estate; we had about 1 hour and 45 minutes total, so only about 30 minutes or less outside on grounds.

Your staff were wonderful. However, there were so many groups leaving at the same time (on the evening part of our tour) that it was a mess. We got off from the staging area 40 minutes late and therefore we had to literally run to each monument, and run back.
