Excellent tour. Andy was extremely knowledgeable and patient. I wish all tour guides were as helpful as him.
It started with Police sirens and the bomb squad removing us, so we could not go into the Capitol building but then Destiny led us through the library of Congress, to the Capitol building where we had a great and intimate tour of the Capitol building. Then off to meet Andy and his capable Driver Joey.
Andy is a delight and very knowledgeable. He made our journey fantastic and I would say - DO THIS TRIP - ASK FOR ANDY.
Going around with Andy meant that there were answers to every question, comments and discussions about your questions plus he showed GENUINE ENJOYMENT IN BEING WITH US. It was not a case of get this over with, but of sharing his knowledge, singing to us, telling us jokes, etc
The buildings and monuments were wide in their attraction and appeal, but we spent to little time at each. This is to be expected when ones looks at the tight program that we were on, so that we could see all that we did. Took far to many pictures but that is due to the variety of things we saw.
The water boat was disappointing in comparison, but we had a chance to eat our lunch and see the sights.
If you only have one day (we only had one day, as we flew in and out with a day in the middle), then this is the tour to take. It is worth the money.
Gail and I now know enough of Washington, to know that we need to take at least 2 days to see the sights again and to spend time where it matters to us.
This tour gave us that insight plus an understanding of what lies where.
Cheers to Andy and his Tour company.
The tour was great. Our tour guide, Patricia was wonderful. She was so very knowledgeable about each and every tour stop and you could tell from her narration that she loved sharing this knowledge. We had a wonderful day and left at the end of the day glad we chose this tour.
Patricia, our tour giude was very informative. She was very patient with all our questions and even encouraged us to ask questions about all the sites and monuments we visited. Tony, our driver was a great driver. Tony had ice water ready for us in a cooler the day of our tour...it was a great idea since the day was very hot. I highly recommend this tour if you want to visit the capital and all it's major monuments and sites. It was worth everyones time and money!! :-)
I was very pleased with the trip. Your guide, Tim, was an expert and very professional. My group ranged from 11 years old to 73 and we all thoroughly enjoyed the trip. My only disappointment was not going through the White House. That would really be POWERFUL!
Our tour of DC was absolutely wonderful. Ralph our guide made our trip just wonderful. He was so good at explaining everything in detail. He was the best. I was a bit disappointed because I did want to get closer to the white house. I brought my 14 year old grandson because he loves history. He was so excited, I will use Viator again.
Tour guide was great. We saw all the monuments before it got very hot outside and before they were crowded with visitors. This is the best way to tour the city.
Great tour, we had a small group, on a very nice and clean bus. The quick access to the national archives was awesome, no waiting in a long line outside.
Very enjoyable and interesting tour. Visited a number of memorials I had not seen before. Very knowledgable and helpful guide.
