Absolutely worth every penny. Our tour guide was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable of DC and my entire family from my parents to my kids had a great time. Travelling in the air conditioned bus was wonderful. If you wanted to get off and visit the sites you could or for my parents if you wanted to only see a couple from the bus you had that option as well. It was a great experience and I would use the service again. A must do in DC.

I think the destinations were a good mix of what one would want to see. Several of the stops, particularly the FDR, Korean War, and Marine Memorials were just awesome. Our tour guide was informative, extremely knowledgeable and personable. He pointed out many points of interest that could be done after the main tour. The bus was very comfortable, and the drop-off and pickup points did not require excessive distance. The cooler was stocked with complimentary cold water. This was my 78-year-old Mom's first tour of our country's incredible testimonies to history. I could not have put together a more comprehensive or enjoyable tour on my own. We got a lot of bang for the buck on this 6 hour tour. I would highly recommend it.

On the plus side, we had a wonderful guide. He knew his history and was very enthusiastic and professional. A very big negative was the absolute lack of initiative on the part of the person responsible for the tour. The initial pick up spot was unavailable because for blocks around it was fenced off due to a special event. We were not notified of the issue and had no knowledge of an alternate pickup location. To top that off, there was no person at the office to answer the phone and give us a clue as to what to do next. Fortunately, one other person did know of an alternate spot, which took us a good fifteen minutes of walking to reach. Even a manager with just a small bit of common sense would have sent someone to the original pick up spot to collect us all and lead us to the place the bus was located.

We only had one day and the tour gave us a quick and stress free experience. Our three kids enjoyed not having to walk everywhere. Viator did a great job with service. I made a mistake on our date of the tour and they were able to correct it without any hassle.

This was a great way to start our vacation. Very informative and fun. We got to see more than we'd have ever done on our own without the hassle of driving ourselves.

My husband and I went to D.C. in October '08 for the first time. This is a MUST for all newbies. There is no way we would have seen this much on our own - no way. I highly recommend this tour. Be advised that there definitely is a considerable amount of walking, so wear comfy shoes. Our driver was very courteous and our tour guide very nice and approachable. Thank you, Viator, for a professional, well organized tour.

This tour was booked to take friends visiting from Australia on a day trip to see as many of the main attractions in Washington as possible. Our tour guide was extremely informative during the ride and the stops. I know it's possible to lose time if people wander off, but he was a "drill sergeant" at each of the stops. As it turned out, we had almost an hour at the end, which was filled in by a ride through Embassy Row--which we did enjoy, but we could have been allowed more time at the stops listed on the tour instead. We did get to see the helicopters fly in and land at the White House while we were at the Jefferson Memorial stop--seemed to make it more personal, not just history. It was nice being on an air-conditioned shuttle and not having to walk or take the metro to the various sites since it did get fairly hot by the afternoon. Overall, it was an enjoyable day. Thanks!

There was a triathlon the day we had our tour, and some streets were blocked, so our schedule had to be moved around to accommodate. Also, there was a visiting dignitary from another country, and the street in front of the White House was blocked, so we had to view it from across the street. And the temperature was 97 degrees, which isn't the norm for Washington, D.C. But even with these disruptions, the tour was very informative, and our guide was very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this to anyone interested in learning more about the history and monuments of D.C.

Although it is easy to get everywhere in Washington, DC, with the metro system, there is a lot of walking involved. This tour was definitely worth the price, especially if you are traveling with elderly parents, because they do not have to walk much and have the option of waiting in the van if they get tired. However, I do feel that the tour guide could have done a better job--I did not like his relaxed style. I would have preferred to have more details about the places we were visiting. Also, we did not get to pass by Georgetown because we ran out of time, primarily because on the penultimate stop we had to wait an extra 20 minutes for two other passengers.
