What You Can Expect
Your bike route covers monuments and memorials located on the National Mall and Potomac Tidal Basin. Cruise along city bike lanes and flat terrain while taking in the beautiful architecture (and perhaps keeping an eye out for the Secret Service). Visit Washington Monument, the stately white obelisk that honors the first US president, and pedal over to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, a 3-acre (1.2-hectare) tribute to those who served in the Vietnam War.
Check out more landmarks like the National World War II Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial and the Martin Luther King Jr Memorial, and then ride through the city back to the starting point, where your tour concludes.
Great way to see many monuments in a short period of time. Traveling with kids, this was especially great. The tour guide was personable and knowledgeable.
A great way to see the sights in Washington. Our guide really knew his stuff and could answer any question. Comfortable bikes.
Our Monuments Bike Tour was one of the highlights of our trip. It is the best way to see all of the monuments and learn something about each one. The equipment and the guides are first class.
Our guide Em was great- just the right amount of info and then enough time on our own to explore... biking to the monuments was a fantastic way to see a lot- and it was just right for our kids, ages 9,11, and 13.
