What You Can Expect

Washington DC Monuments Bike Tour

See Washington DC sights like the White House on a bike tour.

At your selected departure time, meet your local guide and get fitted for a hybrid comfort bike near the National Mall, where you’ll embark on a 3-hour Washington DC bike tour of monuments and memorials.

Follow your guide at a leisurely pace over relatively flat terrain, using bike lanes that wind past notable historic landmarks in the dynamic capital. You’ll stop en route to hear interesting facts from your guide about each site you visit, including the Washington Monument, a towering obelisk that honors the first US president.

Learn about the architectural features of the memorials along the Potomac Tidal Basin, including the stately Lincoln Memorial and Jefferson Memorial. Read the many famous quotes at the Martin Luther King, Jr Memorial, and note the more than 58,000 names on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, a tribute to men and women who served in the Vietnam War.

Check out the National World War II Memorial and more before you ride back to the starting point, where your tour concludes. If you’d like, opt to include a full-day bike rental on the day following your selected tour date.

The tour was fantastic. Our guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. We were able to see soo many monuments. I guess I didn and #39;t realize we weren and #39;t going to see things like the capital building, white house, etc but the things we did see I don and #39;t think there and #39;s a better way to visit them.

Great way to see DC quickly. Excellent guide who knows a lot about the city and comfortable bikes. I had no idea there were so many monuments in DC - it was great to see so many in such a short space of time, as well as the White House.

The 3-h Bike Tour was great. We were 10 people and two guides, who know a lot of things about the monuments and exspecially the memorials. In Washington D.C. there are a lot of memorial and with the bike you can easily get from one memorial to another.
We also get something to drink and a small snack. The bikes are easy to drive.

We had a lovely time on this tour, our guide Carly was very informative and knowledgeable on all the sites we visited as well as Washington itself. There was an incident 5 minutes into our tour but Carly was off her bike and ready to help in a flash. Unfortunately we had to cut the tour short by 15 minutes due to a storm rolling in but Carly gave us all the information on the last site before we arrived back just in time! I would definitely recommend this tour for people wanting to explore the city's sites at a leisurely pace!
