The moonlight tour provided the right mood, not to mention that there's less traffic to deal with than during the day, so you'll get the most out of the tour.

We were lucky to have a clear calm evening, so the monuments were spectacular. The guide was not the best, though. He made lame jokes, and there was not much real content to his commentary.

It would be nice to have a little more time at the stops. Extending the tour by half an hour would give additional time. It would also be nice to include a stop at the Jefferson Memorial. We also had to to stand in line at Union Station to get our actual ticket for the tour. On that particular night, the tour was sold out and we stood in line a good hour waiting to get our tickets. They wouldn't take the voucher at the trolley.

Tour was good. Driver should have slowed down in good view areas.

This tour is worth taking. Seeing the city by moonlight is wonderful especially when there is an experienced tour guide to cart you around. In the summertime, I would suggest the later tour, since the sun sets later.

We enjoyed this tour although we had to wait some time for sufficient trolleys to come along for all the travellers. We also found the information about the trip badly signposted, having to visit an area within Union Station to have our internet vouchers exchanged for tickets. Once aboard we found ourselves sitting over the rim of the back wheels, which was uncomfortable, and with no window out of which we could take photographs as we went along. The guide really knew his stuff however and was very amusing. As we had had to rush to get there on time we found ourselves without water which was not good on a warm evening and as several of the water fountains were out of order at different landmarks we would advise future travellers not to let this happen to them.
