Old town trolley tours in Washington DC is the best way to see DC I highly recommend the night tour and David was by far the best and most knowledgeable Tour guide...
Monuments by Moonlight was beautiful and awe-inspiring. Nicely done.
This was an awesome way to see Washington D.C.. This was my first time to be in D.C. so I really wanted to see as much as possible in 7 days. The trolley made it possible to view so many points of interest in one day. Then I would go back to the ones I wanted to explore further on the following days of my vacation. Thanks for the experience.
well worth the money. Only problem- which side of the trolley to sit for the best pictures since many opportunities on both sides. Seats on the red line to and from Arlington were wooden and uncomfortable. All the drives were great-Dee C, Slim B, Marilyn and driver to Arlington during the day. Mr. History was great on the moonlight tour.
The tour was amazing! We learned so much from the guides and they were super friendly!
What a beautiful evening tour of DC. Our tour guide Mr King made the tour interesting informative and a lot of fun. We will be using Viator again.
We especially loved the evening tour. We are so happy we did both tours
Good commentary and well worth seeing the sights at night as they are more spectacular than during the day.
We took both tours on the same day. The Daytime Hop on Hop off was good. We started on the green line, got off on the zoo stop and spent a couple hours there. Would have like the stop a couple blocks closer to the zoo though. We passed the National Cathedral and went down Embassy Row. We transferred to the Orange Line and jumped on and off a couple times. All our drivers were good however while he did have a lot of knowledge, DC Steven was by far the most boring. My daughter fell asleep. He tended to talk to us like we were children. But, he was knowledgeable about the area and we learned some things from him (except when snoozing...).
By far the best part of the day was Monuments by Moonlight Tour. Our guide was excellent. I wish I could remember his name. He was fun, exciting and very informative. I was very pleased with the entire experience.
If you don't want to know the random facts about DC, you can save some cash and just take the Metro but I wouldn't miss the Monuments Tour to save a few bucks.
Same as my previous comment on the use of the tours. The evening was a bit dampend by the excessive rain but we still had a good time - after all we are British and used to the rain!
Very good trip. The drivers were very friendly and engaging. Timely arrivals and departures. Also did the moonlit monument tour and it was the highlight of our trip. If I were to plan another multi day vacation in DC I would select the trolley as my transportation for every day I was there.
