Read what other Viator.com travelers think about the Washington DC Supersaver: Mount Vernon and Arlington National Cemetery Tour. What they loved, what they liked and what they think could be improved, it's all here to help you make the most of your next trip.
this was a very fun and RELAXING tour. After several days of walking around DC on our own, the day on the bus was alot of fun and our driver was most informative. I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting a great experience and ALOT of insight you would not get on your own.
Very nice. The driver was very knowledgable and friendly. Would definitely recommend.
Mount Vernon is beautiful. So glad we took the time to go. We were allowed enough time to wander the plantation? The disappointing thing is the amount of time you get to spend at Arlington Cemetary. We were rushed in and out. We were allowed timed minutes to see the changing of the guards, and JFK. I would have liked to browse the museum and home.
First and foremost, I thoroughly enjoyed this tour AND our tour guide, Tony. He was amazing and really let everyone know the details about the places we ventured. I rated this 5 stars because you really do see a lot with the money spent. However, I do wish we would have had more time in Arlington and would have been able to go inside Christ Church in Alexandria. I will definitely book with Viator.com in the future when we head back to Washington DC. And I sure hope we get Tony again! Completely worth it!!!
This was a very good program. Birth of American history can be seen. Arlington Cemetery and the Changing of the Guard were good reminders that freedom is not free. A price must be paid.
The Driver was outstanding and very knowledgeable about the area.
What a neat experience. It was fun walking the grounds and home that belonged to George Washington. The Arlington tour was a somber experience but I am so glad I went.
Enjoyed the tour - our bus driver went out of his way to make this tour informative and enjoyable.
The directions through Union Station to the check in site were great. We checked in easily and then got on the bus. Our driver, David Cooper was filled with great information, and entertained us with his silly jokes. HIs multi tasking of talking and driving through the busy roads in and around Washington DC was amazing. His instructions for our stops were very clear and understandable. This was a fun, stress free way to see Mount Vernon, Arlington Cemetery and some of the monuments. This was our second Viator guided tour. We had done the all inclusive VIP tour of DC the day before. The goal was to show our son as much of Washington DC's patriotic sites as we could in the limited time we had. He is 20 and also had a wonderful time on the tours. I would highly recommend Viator if you are wanting to see Washington DC.
The tour was great! We loved Mount Vernon and even though we were there until noon, we could have stayed longer. Also, we visited Arlington Cemetery and got to see the changing of the guards, which was very moving. This was really a great tour!
Excellent tour although stay at Mt. Vernon could have been longer.Tony the bus driver was well informed and always on time. Arlington Cemetery tour with changing of the guard was awesome. The guide on the tram was also well informed. This was the best way to experience the cemetery.
This was a great tour. Despite the early start - it would have been helpful if we could have been picked up in our hotel rather than having to make our own way to Union station - it was good to get perspective beyond the city and to spend time at the beautiful and historical Mount Vernon. We would have liked more time there and at Arlington; personally, we would have been happy to miss out the stop at the war memorials which we had already spe3nt time at separately; the drive through Old Alexandria wass about right. Our guide, Tony was great - very knowledgeable, helpful and above all a great guy.
