The tour guide as great! He was very informative and funny. We sampled many different foods and met many vendors and learned the history of Pike Place Market.
The Food and Cultural Walking Tour was one fo the best local tours I have ever been on! Caroline, our guide was knowledgeable about the area, and she knew the people we encountered on our walk. She was naturally entertaining - a wordsmith straight out of a "pun-atentiary!" Do you want to know how to tell the male eggplant from the female at the farmer's market? Do you want to know why you should care? Ask Caroline! Would you like to know how cheesemaking by-products are disposed of? Ask Caroline. There seemed to be something to entertain everyone on the tour from the teenage set to us old geezers. Great experience!
I have been to the Pike Place Market many times but since I have been out of town for many years and my wife had never even been to Seattle before, I elected to take the tour. What a total value. The high point was our tour guide, Nick Setton. Fun, high energy, and knowlegeable. The tour was well planned and the participating business were well coordinated. The only gliche
was Star Buck's bathroom facilities were closed.
Thank you and especially Nick for the great time!
This food tour at Pike Place Market was totally awesome!! Brett our tour guide was fabulous and hilarious!! And thanks to him, now I'm hooked on Chi Tea Latte's!!! Thanks for an awesome tour and I was stuffed when we were done, but actually went back to some of the places you took us. Thanks again Brett for a wonderful tour and you kept the people who weren't on our tour out of our samples, you rock!!!
The tour started on time. The guide was entertaining and knowledgeable. The variety of food was excellent and we went back to purchase from one of the vendors.
This was a fantastic tour of fun, food and history. I would recommend it to anyone visiting (or living in) Seattle!
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. It was very informative and with the periodic eats what else could you want We scheduled a variety of tours and activities during our week in Seattle and after experiencing them all, I would recommend to others that the first they should take is the Pike Place Market - Food and Cultural Walking Tour. With all the hustle and bustle in the market, the audio devices were ideal for the occasion. For those of us who are semi-serious photographers, we could shoot scenes around us while still taking in the guide's information. We especially liked our tour guide Nick. I can't imagine anyone doing a finer job. Please let him know how much we enjoyed his tour.
This tour was one of the highlights of my trip to Seattle. the tour guide was humorous and really knew his stuff..A great overview of Seattle and the Market. It was nice to have the discount card to use on return trips to the market. The only dissapointment was the crab cakes...They were all but tasteless..don't see what made them so good.
Made especially memorable by the knowledgeable guide who was a font of information. the tastings were just great - my favourie was teh Chukat Cherry stop - fabulous candy
Pike Place is a must any time I go to Seattle, but I'd never had so much fun -- and good food -- as on the walking tour. Guide was knowledgeable and funny while also keeping a watchful eye on the group.
The guide made the experience all the more enjoyable. He was knowledgeable and accommodating. To see the market from this prospective added so much more than just walking through yourself.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and fun to listen to. I loved all the different varieties of shops that we visited.
This was fun, and we had a fun guide, very personable and appropriate with a very varied group from many places. I had been to the market a few times already in my week in Seattle, but this was still good to do - learnt lots of interesting things and went to stores I would not have chosen to go to myself.
