What You Can Expect
Very accommodating to changes in schedule. I called to see if I could catch the earlier ferry and it was not a problem. Great way to get to the South Island!
Beautiful 3 hr ride through the Cooks Strait. Space, timeliness, making reservations, cleanliness, crew, food service- all was great. Thank you
Amazing scenery, friendly staff on board, easy trip, comfortable. Thanks!
We greatly enjoyed our 3 hour trip on the Inter islander ferry to Picton from W'ton..the ship is quite big with a wide range of food and drink and comfortable seating and we had a calm crossing
We took a Shuttle from the wharf in Picton to the excellent Anglesea Motel only five minutes walk from the main street, where we ate several times at a very good cafe call The Barn: in the main street and had lovely foodbreakfast available too
The Anglesea is an older type motel but recently renovated and we had a bedroomsleeps 3 and this was separate from a good big lounge and in back there was a fully equipped kitchen with stove etc it was only 99 per night and a real jewel...would be great for a family ...who might take 2 adjoining rooms, and the manager/owner was a mine of info re Picton etc
We went on to Christchurch with Kiwirail... on the new Coastal Pacific Express 5 hours which is a splendid train that follows the coast and gives spectacular views.. a .most comfortable train with a very good buffet and great food ...reached CHCH at 6.30 in time for dinner
Enjoyed the crossing and will recommend it to family and friends
Excellent, all went as planned
Excellent trip. Very east process of check in.
Excellent views from the ship, checking in and luggage simple and efficient.
A bit of a scrum at check in but a fine ship and we were blessed with fine weather. It was very windy but you would not know it if you did not venture on deck. Having cruised many a time this wii
