The trip was brilliant on the Interislander -as usual. What makes it is the spectacular scenery leaving the Wellington area and heading into Picton. The ferry is well equipped, you couldn't ask for anything else!
The arrangements for our Ferry trip from Wellington to Picton were flawless. No problems with the Viator booking at all, and everything went according to plan.
Thank you for your great help.
A leisurely cruise seeing the coastlines of both islands up close. Very comfortable with good on-board facilities. The only bad point was that all the freshly baked scones had been sold when we went to the cafe. However, the scrambled eggs were perfect.
We took the ferry as part of a day trip to the South Island to go wine tasting, and it was a gorgeous trip. The ferry itself is nice, with movies, food, etc to pass the time comfortably, but the best part of the journey is the beautiful scenery as you travel through the sound. There were plenty of outside and window seats to have a drink and enjoy the view, and it was a very relaxing trip.
Provided the weather is good this is a problem free journey with incredible scenery and enough to keep you occupied on the journey!
Great way to get from the north to the south island. Great scenery, particularly upon entering the southern channel. On the morning ferry, it was a bit hazy the first part of the trip. But it was a very reasonable cost.
Beautiful scenery, but nowhere near enough seats for the amount of passengers onboard. Could really use more couches or comfortable seating.
And F and B was so expensive! Over $5.00 for a coffee?? Urgh.
