We had a great tour guide. The highlight of the tour was the intimate views of the fur seals at Palliser Bay. Check out this tour out soon before it is fully discovered.

The seal colony was fascinating to see, but the Lord of Rings aspect was empty. There was really nothing to see from the Lord of Rings production.

Overall, the tour was a bit of an anti climax, be prepared for a fair bit of time in the van and definitely do not expect any excitement from the LOTR sites. The lunch in the 'quaint' cafe was ordinary and nothing very special. The only part of the tour which contained any excitement at all was the seal colony. I just couldn't get enough photos. I got really close to the baby seals and watched them play and frolic.

Trip was below standards. Driver was not aware of the LOTR locations and was reading from books; in the end, he gave us the books to read ourselves. In the later part of the trip, he picked up 2 of his family members, who were not a part of the trip, which made the vehicle cramped. It was very difficult to adjust in the last row of the small vehicle with 3 people. This made the trip even worse. It was said that the tour would be on a luxury vehicle; the vehicle we took was nowhere near luxury, especially with 2 extra unwanted visitors. Only good part was that Wellington was beautiful and hence could enjoy a bit. Not recommended.

I was not happy with this tour. Firstly the driver turned up late. The vehicle I travelled in was in poor condition. I was concerned during my entire tour about the drivers ability at the wheel. Very unhappy and would not recommend to anyone.
