Very good tour guide. I was a little disappointed that the sites used were far from what was depicted in the movie, but that is not the tour's fault at all. Overall a nice and relaxing tour that highlights scenes and places where LOTR was filmed on North Island.
We had a very knowledgeable and an excellent personality. The tour itself was just amazing, it gives you a behind the scenes look at how creative ideas made the movie. Planning on doing Hobbitown and South New Zealand LOTR tours in the near future.

If you are a fan of Lord of the Rings, this is the best tour for you. We were taken to different scence to expose the locations of the movie and how they were used for the movie. We were also told some interesting stories on movie stars.
Absolutely terrific tour if you are a Tolkien LOTR enthusiast.Great guide interesting sites and good value....highly recommended.Even the tea break was done with style and quality
Our tour guide was GREAT! He was really into the film, the locations, the camera tricks, information galore! Our 4 hour tour lasted 5.5 hours because he was so excited which we didn't mind at all. Unfortunately, I don't remember his name but he is married to a Japanese woman.
We had an awesome tour! Our guide shared his love of the movie, the town of Wellington, and had us do all kinds of fun stuff while we experienced the different locations. Thanks Randal!

The guide from Wellington Rover Tours was excellent! She was enthusiastic, engaging and very informative. Her knowledge of the subject was amazing! Wellington Rover Tours were also very helpful as we were waiting to be picked up for the tour at the wrong location. After contacting WRT to say that we were waiting for them, they immediately made arrangements to pick us up from this location. We were very impressed with their service.

I had a fantastic time on our tour. I believe our tour's name was Ronald and he was great. The only bad part was the weather and it was raining out. Aside from that we loved it.
The trip was a little bit boring, but this is mainly related to the group. The guide himself was very motivated and funny.
One proposal for enhancement: a handout with the pictures shown on the tour would be more than great!
