Farm in Qinling
Day 1: Xi’an – Qinling Mountains (L, D)
After pickup from your Xi’an hotel, you’ll be driven approximately 90 minutes to a farm near the Qinling Mountains to begin your 2-day private tour. Along the way, stop at a gorgeous mountain stream for some swimming or sunbathing.
Arrive at the farmhouse and learn about the lifestyle of its residents as you walk around the farm with your guide, who’ll ensure that you get an authentic, enlightening experience of the region. See the various animals and livestock prancing about and learn how they provide for the farm’s inhabitants.
For lunch, your guide will help you communicate with the farmers about which farm livestock or vegetables you would like to have them cook for you. Enjoy the company of the locals and your fellow travelers over a fresh, organic lunch. Then, take a short hike with your guide to the Qinling Mountains behind the farm. Encounter a large variety of plants and wildlife and visit a series of beautiful waterfalls nestled within the lush forest of evergreens and oaks.
Before sunset hits, follow your guides back to the farm for an organic dinner in the company of the friendly farm residents.
Overnight: Local farmhouse near the Qinling Mountains
Day 2: Qinling Mountains – Xi’an (B)
After your relaxing, enlightening farm experience, your private guide will drive you back to Xi’an. Stop at a traditional Buddhist temple, the Jieying Temple, nestled in a nearby valley. Walk inside the temple; marvel at the traditional Buddhist architecture; and enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountain landscape.
Arrive back in Xi’an before noon.
