We had a wonderful time at all the stops! We didn't stay too long at any of them, just enough time. We took this tour with a 2 year old, and she enjoyed the tour as well! We had a wonderful lunch and the tour guide was very good at showing us all the things to look at.

This had a great itinerary, good driver and a very good guide. He gave just the right amount of info and was good with advice.

It was a great trip, perfect amount of time in each place, great tour guide, overall wonderful! I'd do it again.

The driver/guide did his best to point out all the sights along the way. While the rest of the group went up Mount Santis on another tour in the same bus, my husband and I bought cheese and meat at the small factory and had a picnic with the cows along the walking trail.

This was an excellent tour - well worthwhile!

Overall, trip was good. Cheese factory was a little rushed. Town was quaint and interesting. Chocolate factory gave plenty of samples, and good prices at the factory store.

You have to like the countryside, the tour guide was great and we stopped off at a few places to break the sore bum syndrome. Recommend it.

Positives - The guide and bus driver were good and full of basic information about Switzerland, Appenzell etc so it was interesting. Also, we were left to our own devices most of the time and had lots of free time to wander around which we liked though this may not be everyone's cup of tea. The scenery was amazing and the guide made sure to point out to us all the interesting local sights.

Negatives - I felt we spent too much time at the Schwegalp and this was exacerbated by the fact that the cheese factory was closed - so that was a bit of a let down.

Wonderful scenery and excellent tour guide, however, the visit to the chocolate factory a disappointment.

There were many great sights to see, and even though it was raining, it was still a fantastic tour to see Switzerland. I would love to to it again in clear weather. The guide's English wasn't the best, but he still was very informative.

Enjoyed the drive to the little town. This tour also took a detour to Mt. Santis, which was a pleasant surprise. It started snowing there almost on cue when we landed, and even though it was freezing, it sure was lovely. Appenzellerland is cute and has some delightful little sights. The drizzle only added to it. The chocolate factory for those with a sweet tooth is a treat, with free samples and good prices at the store. It's definitely worth picking up a handful for people back home. I wish I'd picked the time of the year when the local processions happen; that would've been at its cultural best. The guide was a history buff and patiently shared the stories throughout the journey.

The chocolate factory was great - with free samples galore! The cheese factory was quaint and the cheese, excellent. The best part of the trip was the cows and goats roaming freely around the mountain setting. It was very peaceful to hear their bells while dining.

More time in Azzenzell would be appreciated. The tour was combined with Mt. Santis, so we paid for that too but really wanted the city.
