Read what other Viator.com travelers think about the Swiss Alps Day Trip from Zurich: Jungfraujoch and Bernese Oberland. What they loved, what they liked and what they think could be improved, it's all here to help you make the most of your next trip.
I agree with all the other reviews. This is a well run tour with plenty of gorgeous scenery. Our guide, Valerie, was knowledgeable and kept the group on schedule which is important. As others have said, there is not much time in Interlaken, but that is OK because Interlaken is just a tourist trap for Swiss watch shoppers. We had plenty of time on the Jungfrau to explore and get lunch. There is no dinner stop on the trip back to Zurich, but we gad some snacks with us. Be sure to participate in the trip to the top because the views, if the weather is nice, are priceless.
For those who like Clint Eastwood movies, I will say that I felt like Dr. Jonathan Hemliock while standing at the base of the Eiger in Kleine Scheidegg. I could recall in my head the line by George Kennedy, "I knew there'd be death on that mountain", especially as we rode past the ice fields.
Well worth the money and time.
It was an excellent day out. Route is well manicured and some breath taking scenes. Our guide "Daniel" acquired a large amount of knowledge together with a great sense of humor, and he explained beautifully the history and locations to the guests throughout the trip. With regard to the management every thing was well planned and hassle free. The coach itself was luxurious and very comfortable and the Driver extremely professional on the narrow zig-zag mountain tracks. All in all a Super day with tonnes of memories.

Tour guide was great, knew all about city and soundings.
We have lots of fun. Would recommend to others
This was a new tour by Viator and the subcontracted company "Best of Switzerland Tours." The guide Peter H. was superb! One of the best I've had on a Viator tour. Very knowledgeable, professional and kept the group on track. The tour involves getting on/off trains where timing is everything. Peter kept us on track yet not too rushed. The cog-wheel train to the top of Jungfrau and the scenery --maginifcant. We saw the towns of Lucerne, Interlacken and Grindelwald. Not enough time in any but, the destination is Jungfrau and the trains only depart at certain times. I would strongly suggest bringing food and juice/water along on the trip because the tour does not stop for lunch/dinner breaks. We had brought lunch but not snacks for dinner. Wish we had--we were hungry by the time the tour was over. If you have limited time in Switzerland, this tour is a must. It starts from Zurich, but we came from Basel by train back-forth to get onto the tour. A LONG day but worth it! Highly recommended. Again, the tour guide Peter H. was excellent and the subcontracted tour company was excellent.
Wow!! Loved this tour. The breathtaking views starting from the moment you get on the highway (from Zurich) till the time you get to the top of the Jungfraujoch. Although the trip was long, you never actually feel it to be as such as there's just so much to see! It was an experience that I'll never forget. Worth every penny!
Tour was well organised and the guides are really do a good job. Complementary hotel pickup was great. Only negative side is that the most of day is occupied in travelling and you only get less than 2 hours on top of Alps. So you need to really rush on the viewing locations.
All in all, the trip was very nice. Our guide was very friendly and helpful. However, I think the time in Interladen was too short (only 40 mins).
The tour would have been outstanding had the weather at the top of the mountain co-operated but Viator could not control that part. The rest of the scenery and guide were excellent. The trip was well structured. Unfortunately some of the passengers decided to split from the group and not inform the guide so the return trip was delay about 1.5 hours for the rest of us. A Viator manager was part of another tour that hitched a ride during the return trip. Customer service was important because he offered everyone some vouchers to deal with the inconvenience caused by the absent customers. I'm pleased with the tours and service received. If you are lucky with the weather, its a great tour. Jungfraujoch is a great place. Ice palace is worth visiting. Our guide did not give a lot of information but was good at organizing the group. I wish we would stop somewhere in villages to enjoy the view. Stop in Interlaken was only 25 min.
