We enjoyed the trip , the guide (Mr. Joulious) has added us a lot of information about Zurich and Switzerland in general. Also we enjoyed a delicious drink of hot chocolate and Lindt chocolate.
It was very interesting trip. I enjoyed lot. The tour guide is very good and she explained every single thing in english and it was very good thing for us as foriners.
The boat trip was fantastic. Only thing disturb us was bad weather in Zurich that day. Otherwise the trip was very good.
Tour was great and interesting especially if you want do discover the modern design and ingenious architecture work of Zurich! The Hot Chocolate break was very appreciated in this winter time! Thanks to our guide who gave us lot of information and anecdotes.
Our tour was great and Andreas our guide was very informative and very friendly
Outstanding tour! The chocolate Factory outlet stop was great. The boat cruise was amazing and the long walk back through all the shopping areas was a plus as well.
Sad not seeing factory
Personal visiting old Escher Wyss as served there my apprentiship
Tourguide mentined "engineering" strength of Switzerland, great.
Visit to the Lindt chocolate shop was nice. Boat ride was relaxing...
Chocolates are cheaper here than anywhere else we looked in Munich or Zurich. More time was needed in the Lindt chocolate shop and less time at the warehouse before. Tour guide was very knowledgeable.
This tour provides you a different view of Zurich. You will learn about the modern projects of the city and the non-touristic contemporary places where locals go. I recommend this tour if you have extra time in Zurich and would like to explore something different.
It is a different take on Zurich going to more industral parts, visiting the chocolate OUTLET shop, then a boat ride home. Good trip but disapointed that you do not return to the start point. You are left to find your own way back (with verbal guidance before setting off) but this is not explaned so do not book any thing with time frames with the expectation of being dropped back where you started - its about a 15min walk back.
You should tell or advise that the tour is not a conventional city tour, it was a city tour from the west part of Zurich. It was OK but we thought we will do the touristic part of Zurich.
The guide was OK.
The boat ride was the only highlight. Chocolate factory outlet was a very small shop. It was v hot in Aug and all the chocolates we bought melted even though I bought additional cool bag.. Remember, boat trip is after the Lindt factory outlet visit so if u r visiting on summer avoid buying lots of chocs.
Some interesting information is outlined in this tour, and is good in regards to giving your an overview of some of zurich's less know sites. the tour gide was very nice and the boat cruise back to Zurich is lovely, secondly only to visiting the Lindt Chocolate outlet
The tour guide was informative and thoughtful. Was disappointed that we couldn't see the actual chocolate-making process but we were satisfied with our buys. Enjoyed the boat ride very much - beautiful sights to see.
Not what we expected - the time spent looking at a factory was time wasted - did not get to spend much time at the chocolate outlet and were rushed out to go to catch boat and then spent 15 mins waiting for the boat to arrive, could have stayed longer then 20 mins at the outlet
. The Boat ride was very average. The Lindt Chocolate factory is just like any Airport Chocolate shop nothing remarkable.
The tour guide was very nice however it wasn't much of a tour. We went to look at some old buildings which was not worth the time. There was a boat ride but my family and I had the Zurich card which allowed us to go on the boat which takes you within walking distance of the chocolate outlet. I would suggest anyone who is interested in seeing Zurich find a different tour on viator. This was a waste of money, for me.
My friend and I booked this tour as we are both chocolate lovers and were excited to see the Lindt Chocolate Factory. We booked the tour a week or so in advance and 10 minutes into the tour ,once we were on the bus touring Zurich, our tour guide told us that the chocolate factory was actually closed (it was Good Friday). Would have been nice to have a heads up on that before booking or before leaving for the tour because we would have rescheduled. We also signed up for an English speaking tour guide and it turned out it was both English and Spanish which slowed things up. Our tour guide did manage to take us to a cool part of Zurich called Zurich West. We didn't see much because a lot of stores were closed, but we went exploring there the next day. All and all, I would recommend you call and find out what the tour is about and what the tour is planning to show you. I would have liked to have been better informed of the plan.
Not a must do tour. The city tour was boring. The Lindt and Spruengli Chocolate Factory was nothing but a store - no one even told us a story about where the chocoate is actually made, etc. Nor was there any small restaurant where I expected to be able to sit down and eat some sweat something as per the tour description. We particularly chose this tour because the tour description did not mention a boat ride . . . but we found ourselves walking through a maze of bugs to get to on a boat nevertheless. The tour actually ended up somewhere other than where it began - not stated in the tour description - but our guide helped us get back to our hotel area.
Was a bit of a let down. The Zurich part we saw was drab and uninteresting. The guide seemed to be in a hurry right from the start as if she had a target to reach back before time. The biggest let down was that we believed we would see the Lindt Chocolate Factory and not just the outlet! The name of the tour can mislead as we may overlook the word outlook. This should be clearly mentioned in the voucher print out.
