It was great , short, well organized tour and the lady guide were amazing
We like to get to know the area soon after we arrived Zurich and it's a wonderful way of doing this.
This was an excellent way to see Zurich, and the Guide was very knowledgable.
We went on the afternoon trip, but with hindsight as it stops at the old quarter, the morning would be best so you can walk around the old town better. They do take you back to the starting point if you want.Very good value for money.
We enjoyed the trip on Zurich sightseeing and old industrial warehouses.
I booked this tour online on a whim, as we had a 5 hour wait between flights and I thought we could see the City in that time. Yep we did, and it was great! Our guide was impressive in not only her knowledge and attention to the detail of the city but in her caring attitude and her ability to swap from English to Spanish and make sure she treated each group with a fairness of time and attention. She took photos of us for us and she made sure everyone was present when she got us all round the pretty Old City. The cog train ride was great and the usual passengers didn't seem to mind that our group took over the train and never stopped clicking and pushing to get the best place to get the next picture. The only problem was nothing to do with the tour and its content. It was the fact there was not enough signage from the railway station to get to the bus station, and no one seemed to know or care - if they spoke English that is. So get a map from the the airport to the train tracks and then from the station to the bus station, and use the station toilet, as the one at the bus station is one of those automated ones that was not pleasant! We loved the tour and as we have so many Swiss Francs left we're going to have to find another trip to go on in Switzerland and we'll certainly use Viator again!
Good tour and just enough time to get to know the main parts of the city.
Thoroughly enjoyed the overview of the city of Zurich. Gave much insight as to where to spend the rest of my travel time. Very good!
It was a great tour to see the highlight of Zurich when we had very limited time. The sightseeing tour includes almost all parts of Zurich, the old town and the modern part. The first stop at the lakeshore of lake Zurich was great for us to take some beautiful pictures of the fountain and boats on the lake. We also enjoyed the time to go up the hill by tram to see the famous luxury hotel above the hill and the city view from above. The rooms for improvement are 1) the English accent of the tour guide which is not easy to be listened and 2) no restroom available when we stopped at the old town. Overall, the tour is great and recommended for those visited Zurich for the first time.
Very basic...but like the name says, it is just 'highlights', so one can't expect too much. Useful for noting down what places you would like to visit later on.
This tour helps you learn about the history and
geography of Zurich. We had a wonderful time.
A bit disappointing as both Church's we visited were closed and it was raining so I got drenched, but otherwise OK
Our guide didn't really seem to care at all. She would say on the right, when really it was on the left and leave out important words when describing buildings etc. I like Zurich, but this tour didn't really show a lot. Better off just walking around and seeing things yourself.
This tour was really just a drive-by. The two places we stopped -- a lake not the one in the photo with too much time to take photos of the water and a hotel on a hill. The funicular to the hotel was OK, but there was nothing to see but the outside of a hotel once we reached the top. The tour guide also left one couple and their child as she had us running to the funicular. There was a problem with the child so they were slowed down and she had the train leave without them! She eventually had to go back to the funicular to wait for them while we had extra time to look at the outside of a hotel where none of us was staying. Plus it was overcast and so there were no views of the city to see from that hill. The classic photo of Zurich, as shown in your photo, was one we could not capture. The bus just zoomed past that and other important sites. When we reached the Chigall windows and the guide wanted to know who was going back to the starting point with the bus, no one did. No one wanted to. It would have been cheaper to just take a taxi to the one or two places one wanted to see. Your local tour guides are usually great. This is my third country using Viator. The Best of Zurich needs to be altered or you need another tourist operation on the ground.
