- Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This US-based organization is one of the best global resources on diseases and prevention.
- Association for Safe International Road Traveling (ASIRT) is all about making the roads we travel safer. They offer reports on dozens of countries.
- UK Department of Health. Another excellent global resource for health and prevention aimed at international travelers.

- Dogfriendly.com. Traveling in North America with a pet? This site has plenty of resources on pet-friendly hotels, dog parks, restaurants and more.
- VRBO. The name stands for "Vacation Rentals by Owner." The site lists thousands of cabins and vacation homes around the world, which you can rent directly from the owner.
- Lonely Planet. Travel books, maps and lots of great content from one of the world's best-known travel publishers.
- Sleeping in Airports. The name says it all. It's a site produced by, and for, people who love airports.
- National Park Service. This is the official website for all National Parks in the USA.
- TSA Security Checkpoint Wait Times Want to know how long you'll be waiting in the security line at the airport? Here's where you find out.
