A great tour. Be warned though that it is outdoors in summer, very hot. At the end of the tour you are located within the Palantine area where there is NOT any food outlet. The Palatine area leads on the Roman Forum once you have left the Forum you have to pay to re-enter. I would advise people to take plenty of water, hat, sun screen and ALSO a small lunch. That way they can refresh after the tour and then spend enough time carefully looking at the Roman Forum.

I've been fascinated by Roman history since I was in school. Coming from an ancient culture, India, I've always been attracted to all ancient cultures. We had an excellent tour guide, his trivias, pin-pointing small details, etc helped to make our tour very very lively and memorable. Too much walking though but then there is no other way you can tour these Ancient Rome areas!!! Marvelous tour.

This tour provided me with exactly what I wanted! A very informative guide offered lots of details about life in ancient Rome, the history of the site and facts about its residents. There's quite a lot of walking involved which means this may not be best suited to travellers in baking hot August but, as with most of Rome, water fountains are liberally placed around to help keep you from keeling over! Can't rate this highly enough. Loved it!

Very informative guide who met us at a very easy place to get to. Headphones used to make sure she can be heard above the crowds noise. Skipping the lines worth all the money alone. Only guided tours skip the massive lines to both purchase and enter the premises. If Ancient Rome is your thing this is very good. Plenty time after to explore the areas around such as the Pantheon. Bring those walking shoes. Lots of steps.

An absolutely wonderful tour guide!! Probably one of the best tours I have ever taken. He was a native born Roman who was incredibly passionate about his home and who was able to give us truly unique information that we wouldn't have been able to get from any one else. This tour was worth the money even without the amazing tour guide because we were able to skip the very long line in front of the Colosseum! Take this tour!!

An excellent tour guide who was informative and light hearted, being a Roman added a little something. Nothing was too much trouble for her.

Well organised and hassle free. Much more information than you can cope with. Without the guides we would not have known what we were looking at.

Our tour guide made this tour very very interesting, he captured our imagination by taking us back nearly 2000 years. Worth every penny. Don't try this tour on your own you will miss so much.

This was a great tour. We had a wonderful tour guide. Gave us so much interesting history on Roma; it was fascinating. We really enjoyed this tour.

Our guide was outstanding. He clearly was passionate about the things that he was showing us and was able to answer any question that came his way based on his very broad knowledge of history. Even more impressive, however, was the way he handled several very obnoxious people who showed up to the tour with a woman in a wheelchair and expected him to accommodate them, even though the tour is advertised as a walking tour which is not recommended for those with walking disabilities. He did very well in a situation where most other people would have blown up - these people were some of the most ignorant, impossible-to-please tourists that I have ever seen. I will be booking more tours with Viator!
