Go off the beaten path in Akita and discover places you'd never find on your own. This food-focused cycling tour takes you from Lake Tazawa, to a local farm near the lake to get ingredients for dinner, and then to a campground where you will enjoy a barbecue dinner of wild game and fresh vegetables as the sun sets over Lake Tazawa.
We will meet at the Tazawako Campground.
After the registration, the staff will explain the precautions to be taken at the tent site, and then you are free to go!

We’ll start in Kyukamura and go through the beautiful beech forest to see the stunning beauty of greenery. Visit some onsens and learn facts that what is Onsen culture in Japan (NOT bathing), feel full of nature here as Nyuto Onsen village is in the national park. Then try 100% natural hot spring water foot bath, have coffee time in the forest.
Electric Bikes are not like motorcycles, they are simply bicycling with an electric pedal assist so no special riding skills are necessary.
The riding pace is at low speed so we can enjoy the views. We take many short breaks for pictures and stories.

Travel to the country town of Odate in Akita prefecture by local bus from Morioka station. Experience a night with a local family in their house. Depending on the season and weather, there will be a variety of activities organized by the family for you to participate in, such as making dinner together, farm activities etc. Depending on the numbers, you may stay in separate farm houses.
