Hydra, Poros and Egina Day Cruise from Athens with Optional VIP Upgrade
, Jan 2020
VIP upgrade is completely worth it! Great food, friendly and welcoming staff. Hotel pick up and drop off was very convenient. The tours offered on the islands were great and definitely worth paying for, and with VIP you get a free tour. Highly recommend!
I was going to give this trip a 4 star due to the facts there wasn’t much to see or do at the islands, but that was because we were on the off season. This group works very hard to make your trip a good one. They are attentive, full of information, and the entertainment was fun...OPA!!
I liked every part of the experience: the boat was nice and cozy, the welcome from the crew, the food, the islands and the information received was all great. Also the food was pretty good, I expected less for something included with the ride.

Our tour guide was excellent with great passion and knowledge about the myths and legends of Delphi.
Timing of the tour was just right and lunch we took ourselves in Delphi ( lots of choice) was a good economic choice. Can highly recommend
Guide was professional, she took care of needs and managed a lot of stops. I would encourage travelers to come to Greece in January - as you seem to have just the right amount of people touring the ruins.

This tour enabled us to utilize our time to the max
Well worth the expense
Our guide Panos was fantastic
His knowledge of historical sites and cultural aspects of Greece made the whole experience more meaningful and enjoyable
Our guide, Panos, picked us up at our hotel right on time and whisked us away on a daylong adventure! There were six of us, and I am moderately disabled and had to bring my wheelchair. Panos was so attentive and never made me feel like a burden. He paved the way for me whenever possible and was a perfect intermediary for me in explaining and translating. His English is excellent, his knowledge of the city is superior and his driving was incredible in these crazy streets! I felt safe and I was fascinated by all the tidbits of information and history. He made Athens come alive for us not only in the big tourist draws but all around the city. I learned so much! We asked a LOT of questions and he cheerfully answered them all, even cultural questions not limited to the tour. We had the best day ever with him and not only do we highly recommend him, we will absolutely ask for him again when we come back.
We arrived into Athens and had the most amazing day with our Guide. There is nothing quite like being able to explore one of the cities with SOOOOO much to see at a pace that is uniquely your own. Olive Sea Travel was the perfect choice for my daughter and I. Highly, highly recommend them!

Joy did a good job giving us the history of each place we were going to. The tour was busy - not a lot of down time - but we were able to see many of the top sites. Thank you Joy (and our driver was amazing as well).
On the whole an interesting and great tour - opportunity to view some of the most important historic sites on the Greek mainland. Be prepared for an overdose of facts if you are not a fan of history. Hotels provided are simple but comfortable.

Full Day Cruise to Greek Islands from Athens: Poros - Hydra - Aegina
, Feb 2020
Athens was great but not a lot to see after a while this was a great way to really experience Greece without spending a lot of money on hotels .. the islands are literally so beautiful and was worth every dime .... bring your own drinks if you don’t wanna spend a lot of money that’s the only thing I would say I wasn’t too pleased with ... but overall excellent experience!!!
The classic bus tour on Aegeina was lacking
We arrived at the Temple of Aegeina too late in the day it was closed
Could only see it from a distance through a fence
The stop at St Nikolas Church was just ok
The church is under major restoration and the inside was covered with a lot of scaffolding that really took away from it's presentation and beauty
At first we were disappointed with the additional charges for tours once on the boat but they were worth it. We went during off season so the boat wasn't too crowded or dirty. The weather held up and was nice. The island stops were nice the second island you have no time to explore. We actually did most shopping on the second island than the others. The meal provided was good the music and dancing was the best.
Experience Greek island life without a hotel reservation on a day cruise from Athens. Leave the bustle of the city behind as you sail into the Saronic Gulf, stopping at three of the most picturesque islands within easy reach of the capital. With free time to explore each island and a barbecue lunch on board, it's a stress-free way to see more of Greece, even with just a day to spare.
We joined 2 days tour. We traveled by bus with customers for one day tour then changed bus to continue our trip joining group of customers who were on 4 days tour. The overall operation was smooth and nice. However, we felt that the level of tour guides is really depending.
The guide on the first bus from Athens to Delphi was good but the next guide from Delphi to Meteora then back to Athens was sort of insensitive. During the trip, I didn’t feel like I was her customer as she seemed wanting to concentrate on tour operation rather than taking care of customers.
A nice relaxing trip. Enjoyed all aspects especially once I was in a smaller group. I would have liked more time at Delphi. I had to give up seeing all of the outdoor sites to be able to spend time in the museum. I suggest missing the guides presentation (which was very interesting) if you want to see it all. Meteora was fascinating. Hotel and stops were great. Also would have appreciated info re dress codes prior to travelling.
The guide's English was very poor. She has a lot of Greek ascent and I can hardly understand what she meant to say. I even heard of some other guides laughed at her pronunciation. Moreover, she seemed to be readi with difficulty on the coach when introducing the sites.
Get an up-close look at Ancient Greece on this 2-day tour of Delphi and Meteora. Departing from Athens, follow a knowledgeable guide through the UNESCO-listed site at Delphi, discovering the Sanctuary of Apollo and the rest of the area's rich history. Then pass through the scenic towns of Amphissa, Lamia and Trikala before relaxing in 3- or 4-star accommodations in Kalambaka for the night. Top off your trip on Day Two with a visit to the famous monasteries of Meteora, once a safe haven for monks fleeing the fall of the Roman Empire.
Journey back to Ancient Greece on this guided tour of the UNESCO-listed Acropolis of Athens, including a visit to the New Acropolis Museum. Visit the Theatre of Dionysus and Dionysus Sanctuary, stroll past the Propylaea gateway and the Temple of Athena Nike, then stand in awe before the grand ruins of the Parthenon, looking down over Athens below. After exploring the sprawling citadel, follow your guide on a tour of New Acropolis Museum and learn more about the excavations as you browse more than 4,000 artifacts unearthed from the Acropolis.
The view was breathtaking, and the pictures were incredible. It was a stop you will not see anywhere else. That being said, it was a 4 hour train ride each way from Athens... and by the end of the tour we were all exausted... perhaps a two day trip would have been wiser and not going back and forth all in one day. The tour guide and driver were friendly and informative.
Travel by train through the beautiful Peloponnesian countryside on a full-day tour from Athens to the Meteora monasteries. Your driver meets your train in the town of Kalambaka and take you to the medieval monastery complex, which sits perched high atop sandstone cliffs and is honored by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Half Day Athens Private Tailor-Made City Tour (Skip the line of Acropolis)
From $322.18 (Price varies by group size )
, Oct 2019
Great way to see the highlights of Athens. Courteous and friendly driver, very knowledgeable guide. We visited the Acropolis first and learned much more than we ever would have if we had done this on our own. Our guide knew how to avoid crowds & congestion and where the best photographs would be. The detail our guide had was amazing and it made our visit to the Acropolis Museum much more meaningful. The rest of the city tour was very informative. Do some research ahead of time so you can discuss with the guide your "must see" items so you get to see as many of them as you can in a half day. Highly recommended!
Had a great time. We were picked up at our hotel which was not on a main road. We were shown around without having to wait on any lines. When we were finished driver dropped us off at the Pier since we were going on a cruise. We loved the fact we had our luggage with us and didn’t have to make any additional arrangements.
We wanted to see something of Athens before we boarded our cruise ship the next morning. We arrived at 1:00 p.m. and had booked this tour for right after we arrived and so glad we did. Christos was wonderfully patient as customs took awhile to go through. He met us at our hotel, picked up a historian (Reyna) as our guide, and we went straight to the Acropolis and Parthenon. We were able to see everything there and receive detailed history from Reyna. We kind of left other recommendations for site seeing to them and they took us to various sight around the city. There were only the three of us so we could be fairly quick to view the site and get back to move on to the next area. The Mercedes mini van was very clean. Christos was a great conversationalist and didn't mind our inquiries into their culture and way of life. Plus he was very adept at driving in the craziness that is Athens. Reyna was a treasure trove of information. Do yourself a favor and utilize this company.
Customize your own tour of Athens and visit the landmarks that are of more interest to you on this private adventure. Full Day Private Tour: Essential Athens Highlights plus Cape Sounion and Temple of Poseidon
From $233.30 (Price varies by group size )
Tour of Athens
, Jan 2020
Our driver was 45 minutes late and did not speak English. He then proceeded to drive us for over an hour and we could not get him to tell us what the plan of the day was or where we were headed. We finally had to call the tour group to get information.
The guide we picked up upon arriving in Athens, spoke great English, but spoke way too long on everything, even when we asked her for "less information" and to move faster because we were limited on time. We had no comentary on Cape Sounion or Temple o Poseidon because the driver did not speak English as we paid for!
Demetrius is an excellent guide. By the end of our tour, we felt we spent the day with a friend. Prior to visiting each site he gave an in-depth detail, which enhanced our experience. We had early access to sites before long waiting lines. For lunch, Demetrius suggested a wonderful seafood restaurant with spectacular waterfront views. Thank you Demetrius for giving us memorable moments to take home.

Excellent introduction to modern day Greek food. You cannot know the culture without understanding the food! Note: Sunday tours suffer from the fact that many shops and also the main food market are closed.
Our tour guide was outstanding, and made sure we had a positive experience even though it was a very busy day in Athens with pre-Christmas shopping. We did the tour on our first full day in Athens and it was a great way to get oriented. Go hungry into the tour - lots of different tastes.

Cape Sounion and Temple of Poseidon Half-Day Small-Group Tour from Athens
From $59.99 (Price varies by group size )
, Jan 2020
We very much enjoyed the tour of Cape Sounion and the Temple of Poseidon. The site itself was absolutely breathtaking, and seeing it at dusk made it even more special. Our tour guide / driver was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The only drawback was the driving made us uncomfortable (though this just may be the way they drive in Greece).
Our guide was great! Only problem was tour was on the first Sunday of Christmas for Greece and the Moussiki Square was EXTREMELY busy and the traffic took so long that we arrived with only 20 minutes left to see the attraction and sunset. That was the only downfall. The sunset from the temple to worth the time/drive to get there. STUNNING!!!!
Visit one of Greece’s most picturesque coastal viewpoints on a half-day small-group tour from Athens to Cape Sounion. Travel by minivan along south Attica’s scenic shoreline roads to reach the ancient Temple of Poseidon, built atop a towering sea cliff with fantastic views of the Aegean. Explore the ruins of this temple dedicated to the Greek god of the sea, and opt for an afternoon tour to catch a famously beautiful sunset.
The tour was outstanding- the sites were beautiful, the food was good and hotels were very nice. Our tour guide, Anna, was incredible- so educated, friendly and caring to our group. Her English was excellent, I would highly recommend this tour.
After visiting 2 major Greek islands on self guided tours, we enjoyed this 4 days highlight tour very much. With professional explanations of our guide, Stavros, we had better appreciation and understanding of the historical sites. Standard of our first hotel exceeded our expectation, whereas the remaining one was acceptable. But the latter two hotels were situated at city centre which was far convenient than the first one.
Experience the myths and glory of classical Greece on this unforgettable 4-day adventure from Athens. Visit five UNESCO World Heritage Sites including Ancient Olympia, Delphi, and the cliff-top monasteries of Meteora. Walk among temples to the Greek gods, admire excavated statues at archaeological museums, and soak up some of the most spectacular scenery in Greece. The tour includes all transportation, breakfast and dinner each day, entrance fees, and your choice of 3- or 4-star overnight accommodation.
Meteora was the highlight of my trip to Greece!. I did not know what to expect and I was blown away. If you can pull yourself away from the islands and Athens you must check out the Monasteries in the sky!
This trip was organised extremely well. If I could give more than 5* I would. We were collected at our hotel in the morning and drove on a lovely air conditioned bus with our first guide Kostos to Delphi. We had plenty of time to view the sites and Kostos was very helpful. After we stopped for a lovely lunch, we met our second guide Irene who took us to our hotel. We stayed in the 4* hotel in Meteroa, it was lovely but having thought about it we would rather stay in the 3* because it was more central in the town. We went with our bus driver Lucas and Irene to meteroa, it was a breath taking experience. Plenty of time to see and do everything. The bus trip can be long but it is well worth it. We felt very safe and in good hands with Key tours, we were dropped off back at our hotel. We met some wonderful people on our trip and I was sad when it was over. I would love to come back and do it again. Thanks you all.
Visit two of Greece’s UNESCO-listed attractions on this 2-day tour from Athens. Delphi: A Day Tour at the Navel of the World from Athens
, Jan 2020
It was an excelent experience. Thank you to Evan, our guide - he is very passionate; he offered a lot of useful information, history and we spend a lovely day. We were lucky that was sunny day and also that we visited Museum with original statues founded when excavation and archeological researched were done - dont miss it.
I recommend this trip and maybe would be good if will be 1 stop in Arachova - a beautiful small city in the top of the mountain.
Thank you once again Evan and Viator team.
Oana - Romania
A great tour featuring a world class site painstakingly and continuously restored. The Oracle of Delphi and its accompanying museum is a must to visit to complement your knowledge of the ancient civilisation in Europe and Asia Minor. The guide and driver services were excellent and the tour was well run. The only setback was the rush hour traffic returning to Athens, that was however beyond the tour operator's control.
Follow in the footsteps of ancient heroes and legends with a full-day tour from Athens to Delphi, a UNESCO-recognized archeological site that’s among Greece’s most iconic places. Travel past the plain of Boeotia and the birthplace of King Oedipus, then explore a historic monument and treasury, the scenic ruins of the Temple of Apollo, and the spectacular friezes in the Delphi museum. After an optional lunch at a local restaurant, visit a picturesque mountain village to browse woven handicrafts and carpets before returning to Athens.
This was an excellent tour with a very good guide. She was very interesting and made everything easy for us. Worth getting a little bit fitter especially for Delphi as there is quite a climb to the theatre and gymnasium. Well worth the effort.
The time at Olympia was a little too short, taking into account it was 35 degrees and you have to slow down in the heat. The other destinations the time was sufficient. The Mercedes bus was very comfortable and there were spare seats to spread out. A/c worked well. The Amalie Hotels were comfortable , food very good except for Delphi were there wasn't tea & coffee facilities in the room. The Guide was very excellent in her history. The only negative thing was no bottled water was provided in the mini van which we thought was unusual for 3 day tour as we have done many similar tours world wide.
Explore the rich history of Classical Greece on a 3-day tour departing from Athens. Led by an expert guide, see UNESCO-listed sites such as the Olympia archaeological site and discover the Delphi Archaeological Museum. Venture out on daytime excursions to Olympia, Delphi, and Epidaurus with your historian guide before enjoying your evenings in relaxed, 4-star accommodations.
The trip not only provides for a a visit to the Acropolis at Mycenae and the Lion Gate, but also to Agamemnon's tomb bot these structures are awe inspiring. On the way there you stop at the Corinthian Canal for a photo op. The Theatre at Epidaurus is icing on the cake. Lunch is taken at a restaurant but is an extra cost.
Tour guide made this tour awesome. Only thing is don’t include the lunch, we didn’t and we’re happy as we got to choose what we wanted. The paid lunch didn’t look so great. The tour is great and definitely would recommend it.
Follow in the footsteps of the ancient Greeks on a fascinating full-day trip to Mycenae and Epidaurus from Athens. Traveling by air-conditioned coach, you'll drive along the beautiful Saronic Gulf and into the Peloponnese to the atmospheric hilltop ruins of Mycenae, a fortified city from the second millennium BC. See the famous Lion’s Gate, Tomb of Agamemnon and Palace, and after a stop in pretty Nauplia, continue to another archaeological treasure, Epidaurus. Pick your way around the UNESCO-listed Sanctuary of Askeplios and ogle the age-old theater, a wonder of ancient architecture.
We had a great time enjoying the city sites and beautiful sunset. The staff was very professional and accommodating, but the food quality certainly does not justify the price tag. We would recommend the experience to take in the view alone but you can find better choices for a fine dining experience if that is your priority.
Eat dinner in a revolving restaurant suspended in the sky during this thrilling experience in Athens. From a bird's eye view at 165 feet (50 meters) in the air, get views of the city of Athens lit up at night, including the illuminated Acropolis, as the table slowly rotates. With 22 dining companions, feast on a 6-course meal of modern and traditional Greek dishes with unlimited wine, beer, and soft drinks. Choose between Sunset Dinner or City Lights Dinner.
As much as we enjoyed the convenience of this experience, it wasn’t as thorough as we had hoped for what we paid for. Yes, we appreciated the fact that we arrived to the Parthenon early, and seeing some of the main sights nearby (which are all pretty much walking distance - something a hotel attendee can certainly help coordinate for you). Had we had done this again, we would have looked for a much lower cost for what was provided as part of this service. No real complaints other than that.
George was an excellent driver and guide. We only had a full day in Athens and he showed us many points of interest as well as great places to eat. It was a great tour and I highly recommend for folks who have limited time in Athens.
If you’re short on time but want to see everything that Athens has to offer, take a five-hour tour by private transportation. The day starts with convenient pickup from your hotel and then takes you to the Acropolis, Panepistimiou Street, and much more. Traveling by private car enables you to take advantage of your time. You also have the flexibility to explore each attraction independently or add a licensed guide at an additional coast.
Private Biblical Tour of Ancient Corinth & Isthmus Canal from Athens & Corinth
From $73.88 (Price varies by group size )
Cannot be missed
, Nov 2019
Our private tour allowed us to go at a more flexible time schedule, allowing us to stay longer where we wanted to appreciate the sights more. Our driver/guide was informative, friendly and even took us to the best place to eat lunch with a fabulous view of Ancient Corinth (BTW the lunch was just the best, and so reasonably priced).
Follow in the footsteps of St. Paul, who spent time living in Corinth and wrote two letters to the Corinthians, on this private tour of biblical Corinth and the Corinth Canal, with pickup and drop-off from Athens or Corinth. See the marketplace where St. Paul addressed the Corinthians from the podium, visit a church with a mosaic depicting his conversion, and stop at Kechries where Paul had his hair shorn.
Three words : Mythical, Magical and Mesmerizing.
We engaged a one-day private tour with Travelguru through Viator because the train journey is quite troublesome as I was told. The journey was comfortable albeit a little far, four and a half hours one way to be exact. Our driver Mr Dimitri is such a nice guy and we had very good conversation along the way so the whole journey was quite relaxing. Made a number of short stops for toilet visits and to stretch our legs. Visited two monasteries and took tonnes of pictures of the others. Just marveled at the sight of such beautiful buildings and their surroundings. A place surely will not let any visitor down and the effort of making this trip is worth it and a strong recommendation for anyone thinking of going. A superb site worthy of being selected by UNESCO. Should be on every visitor"s bucket list. 10 out of 10.
It was a long drive from Athens but an incredible site. Be ready to do lots of walking up and down stairs. Our driver was excellent and told us a lot of history of Greece and the area during the drive. He was also very handy for pickup after we came back from the monistary
If you’re planning a day trip to Meteora from Athens, your time in Meteora will be limited. Other than fastidiously researching each monastery in advance, having a guide on hand is the most realistic way to guarantee you’ll actually get to see three of the famous monasteries during your half-day in the area. With this full-day excursion from Athens, rest assured that you’ll actually get to share in the wonder of Meteora - instead of risking whittling away all your time as you try to overcome poor planning and logistics.
Corinth, Cave of Lakes, Odontotos Railway Private Tour with Great Lunch Included
From $353.33 (Price varies by group size )
Off the beaten track experience
, Oct 2019
We fully enjoyed the trip with Nikos. He was very friendly and filled us in with lots of bits of information regarding Greece from a local's perspective. The cave of lakes was amazing with all its rock formations and seeing the non-touristy town of Kalabaki was a nice touch to other more crowded tours.
It was our first time we take a private tour on any of our trip, and it was a great experience and a wonderful company.
We were picked up by Theodore on time. Had the extra comfortable van all to ourselves (4 persons). Theodore first drove us to the Corinth Canal. Seeing the photos of the Canal is something, but physically being there and witnessing the manmade canal is an amazing view and experience.
After that, we passed by another historical location before we reached the Cave of Lakes. We come from a country that has bigger caves, but it was quiet an amazing place, and very cold compared to temperatures outside the cave.
After that, we went to the lovely town Kalavryta. What a lovely place!! Here you have to let Theodore pick the place and the food for lunch. Wow, wow, wow, never enjoyed the Greek food like that before. The area is well known of their cheeses and you have to try them in different ways.
From there, Theodore took us to the train station and left us there to pick us back again at the destination point. The train ride (although with narrow seating) was so adventurous, as we passed through valleys, over rivers, through carved rocky tunnels.
Theodore picked us up at the end of the train line, had some ice cream, and headed back to the hotel.
We didn't want the day to be over, but it did with an overall satisfaction.
The star of the day was Theodore, a perfect gentleman and amazing company.
Thank you Theodore

Excellent and confortable tour.
Very good to get a good idea of Athens highlights in a few hours
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, and the driver was also always waiting for us at the time and place requested.
Loved our tour with guide Andrea. She was so knowledgeable! Not only did she provide us with the broad history of Athens, but was careful to point out little gems of info along the way. We enjoyed our day so much. There’s so much history & she was terrific about sharing. Thank you! Don’t hesitate to book this tour. Worth every cent. Just a caution, on a hot day, the walkways around the Acropolis are VERY slippery. Please wear sensible footwear. So many tourists in flip flops or high heels!! Not advisable.
