This is a first rate experience- every thing from the prep to the climb itself is really nicely done. We were equipped with rain gear in the event of rain, and that really helped. We wore the rain pants on the way up but only put the jackets on once it started to rain.
Great photos, reasonably priced, and Richard was an excellent tour leader for our group. Don’t miss it!
Was so much fun!! Would highly recommend it! We did the sampler and that was plenty. Is the same as the full excursion, just not as long and we didn't go as high up. Also, it could not be any safer...they cover all the bases.

All though it was a miserable rainy day our tour driver Mike was the star of the show. He went out of his way and made everyone feel like a family and by the end of the tour we all new each other. His history of the region and the people made the tour invaluable. The zoo was the high spot of the day because of the rain and misty conditions. Anderson tours should monitor the conditions more closely and cancel tours when the weather is unbearable.

Will def recommend
, Feb 2020
Dwanye was my driver, I was alone so sat in front seat & kept asking him questions about the history & nature of New Zealand. He was quite educated & proud of his country. & gave me great advice for other things to do and areas to eat. Above & beyond a stellar dude😁
Kelly the tour guide 4 Hobbiton was animated, enetgetic & very eager 2 take pics 4 us!
The lady (sorry 4 got her name) that did the tour was very funny & patience.
When I 1st book I thought the price was kinda high but after going it was worth every penny & prob 1 of the best tours I've ever gona on.
Up there with the biggie like the colluseum & holo land.
But the staff is was really made it.
Mike was great! Wealth of information, worked really hard to fix the bumps in the road. Told us where the best deal was for greenstone. The tour itself was a bit rushed so not enough time to shop. But Mike made things very enjoyable.
Fabulous way to see the countryside. Dwayne was our driver and he was awesome. So much fun to walk around the movie set. Lunch was great and then off to the glowworms! Now that was a treat all by itself. I highly recommend this tour.
Visit a pair of New Zealand's must-see attractions with this combo tour from Auckland to the Hobbiton Movie Set and Waitomo Glowworm Caves. Great Ocean Road Small-Group Ecotour from Melbourne
Great day trip from Melbourne
, Feb 2020
It was great to experience the most beautiful scenery of the Great Ocean Road on a safe and well organized tour with James. Well done and I would highly recommend this tour for folks visiting Melbourne.
Such a great experience! This tour was great. Our driver, Jon was very knowledgeable about the region & history of the Great Ocean Road & Victoria. He provided us with good tips on best spots for pictures, which stops had restroom facilities, where to look for koalas & kangaroo’s. It was a long day/long drive, but was broken up nicely with enough stops to stretch our legs, get snacks/drinks and enough time to take in all the awesome scenery. My only complaint would be about the coach/bus. The seats were VERY cramped and we basically had to hold backpacks on our laps because there was no overhead storage. Not really sure why they called it an Eco-tour either. Everything else was beyond expectations!
Great sites but the flies at the12 apostles stop where horrible. Your operator should warn people about this. Also dinner stop was awful try pre-ordering and using a proper restaurant other tour operators do this. Also when picking up/dropping off in Melbourne do a reverse order so people don’t have to spend an extra hour on the bus in the morning and evening.
Take in breathtaking sights of long sandy beaches and dramatic cliffs on this guided, full-day tour of Australia’s Great Ocean Road. See some of the most spectacular coastal scenery on Earth, including the Twelve Apostles limestone stacks and Gibson's Steps, site of historic cliff lines. Bushwalk in Great Otway National Park and try out your koala-spotting skills. Travel in a deluxe mini-coach with a small group for a relaxing, personalized experience.
Hobbiton, Rotorua and Waitomo Caves Day Trip in Luxury Minibus from Auckland
, Feb 2020
Hobbiton is amazing, and the stories the guide shares is fascinating! Rotorua geysers are a spectacular sight + seeing a Kiwi was a treat! Waitomo Caves were made special thanks to the guides commentary!
We joined this lovely tour couple days ago. It was excellent, the driver called Vicky was very knowledgeable, kindly and explained everything clearly, those places are so nice to visit, and lunch was very good quality and we were very pleased with this tour! We came from Scotland in UK!
A must see for lord of the rings fans. Beautiful place! The worm caves were just OK. The bus was comfortable.
The guide didn't do too much talking, which was a shame for a long drive. There are some very nice but super quick stops along the way.
The scenery is breathtaking.
Cover plenty of ground in one day by combining several North Island highlights: Waitomo Caves, Hobbiton, and Rotorua. Ride a boat through the Waitomo Glowworm Caves to see these radiant lights. Take a guided tour of the Hobbiton Movie Set, where you find the Green Dragon Inn, the Mill and the home of Bilbo Baggins from ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘The Lord of the Rings.’ Enjoy lunch at Te Puia, home to Pohutu Geyser. You can start and finish your tour in either Auckland or Rotorua, traveling one-way or round-trip.
This tour was amazing and definitely the highlight of my time in New Zealand, and especially Queenstown- totally worth the money.
I had originally booked for a Monday morning but it was canceled due to weather and re-booked for Tuesday afternoon, which only required some slight shuffling of my plans. The team was very communicative via email regarding the weather cancellation and rescheduling. However, if you're limited on time, you might want to opt for a driving tour to the Sound. With unpredictable weather, this trip isn't 100% confirmed until 15 minutes before departure, which doesn't really provide enough time to find alternate same-day options last minute, especially since the drive is so much longer. I would have hated to have missed Milford Sound completely and luckily was flexible with my time.
This is worth every penny. The views you get from the flight are indescribable. You get to see varied landscapes and learn about New Zealand history and environment from your talented, courteous pilots. The cruise is unlike anything I've done either, getting up close to waterfalls, fur seals, and brilliant mountains beside the fjord. Do it.
The glacial waters, soaring cliffs, and thundering waterfalls of Milford Sound are spectacular from all angles, and this half-day tour takes in all the highlights. Enjoy thrilling aerial views of the Fiordland National Park on a round-trip flight from Queenstown, and marvel at Mitre Peak, Bowen Falls, and Mount Pembroke on a scenic Milford Sound cruise. Hotel pickup and drop-off is included.
Loved touring and learning about the growing process. Visiting the different locations on the vineyard and enjoying the wines on site made the experience that much better!
Lunch was delicious and we enjoyed getting to meet others on our tour as we shared the meal. Staff was friendly and made the experience unforgettable. What a perfect day on a beautiful vineyard.
A great tour for those with a spare day in Auckland. Ruth was an excellent guide & driver-we visited some beautiful vineyards and the lunch was delicious. I wish I had more time to explore the island a bit more!
Sample the bounty of local produce on a Waiheke Island wine tour from Auckland. A ferry delivers you to Waikeke, nestled in the Hauraki Gulf, with its ideal micro-climate producing acclaimed artisan wines. A driver-guide accompanies you by coach for cellar door visits where you indulge in tastings of wine, microbrews, olive oil, and a delicious lunch. Use the included all-day bus pass to explore Waiheke Island further on your own.
The BEST!!! We did this cruise on Feb. 8th, 2020 and the experience was perfect! I learned to scuba dive the first time in my life and the instructor talked me and my husband through the while way because I wanted to quit a few times and he calmed me down and helped me through. I am so excited I scuba dived in the Great Barrier Reef!! All four crew members were fantastic and the snorkeling was great with the guide. The food was great. Everyone on the boat we spoke with on the trip raved about them also. There was 22 people on the excursion, so not too many. We were on the reef for several hours. We have been traveling for 2 months and this was the excursion we have done!!
A big thank you to the crew especially the Argentinian scuba instructor!
First class operation. Genuinely warm and friendly crew helped make our trip to the reef as enjoyable as possible. Equipment was in great shape, all instructions were clear and timely. One of the highlights of our visit to Australia.
Spend a day on the Great Barrier Reef at two different snorkel and dive sites on this luxury catamaran cruise from Cairns. Travel in style aboard a comfortable catamaran to a mooring off of Upolu Cay. Take a glass-bottom boat to Upolu Cay, then have time to snorkel or scuba dive. Refuel with a buffet lunch on board the catamaran before heading to your next destination, for more water time, including a guided snorkeling tour.
All Inclusive Full-Day Blue Mountains Trip from Sydney
Very enjoyable all inclusive tour
, Feb 2020
Very nice tour and great value for the money. Guide was a bit aloof or depressed with stories of people or animals dying or afraid to die. But after lunch explained that he was having health issues in the morning and feeling much better. He then became more engaged and his sense of humor improved. He was excellent with instructions and directions, letting everyone know meeting places, what to do, etc. Really enjoyed the wonderful vistas of the 3 sisters and short hikes. Timing was perfect considering all that the tour included. Overall a wonderful tour if you don’t mind having limited time for activities as a trade off for all the inclusions. We always felt relaxed. Great tour and value which we recommend without hesitation.
We had a fabulous tour with Graham as our guide. He was very knowledgeable and prompt. This tour enabled you to see as much as possible in the day. The koala sanctuary and feeding the wallaby’s was our favorite. Lunch included was very good, and scenic world was fun. You can hike a longer path or take a short one at scenic world. Fabulous day.
Hit all the highlights of Australia's Blue Mountains on this day tour from Sydney. View native Australian animals at Featherdale Wildlife Park, see the famous Three Sisters at Echo Park, then head for Scenic World (all three rides included). Wind up on a river cruise on the Parramatta back to Sydney for drop-off at Circular Quay or Darling Harbour. National Park fees and round-trip transportation from select hotels included.
Absolutely fantastic experience.
Interesting to learn about Maori culture and be welcomed into their village.
The food was extremely tasty and flavoursome.
Our driver Davey was FANTASTIC. Good value for money.
Well organised great experience from start to end. To start with, our tour bus driver was a nice and enthusiastic lady, who gave instructions regarding the performance on the way to the village. At the village, the performance was beautifully presented, interesting and engaging. The buffet dinner was nice too with special consideration for vegetarians. The whole program is kids friendly too.
While in Rotorua, see a cultural performance and take part in a traditional Maori ‘hangi’ feast at Tamaki Maori Village. A local guide escorts you by coach to the ‘marae’ (Maori village) for an immersive evening that begins with a welcome ceremony by New Zealand's indigenous people. Learn about local customs and watch a powerful display of song and dance before a hangi dinner.
Great Barrier Reef Diving and Snorkeling Cruise from Cairns
Safe, colorful reef dive
, Jan 2020
The staff were really friendly and made for a safe, fun experience at the reef. I did an introductory dive and snorkeled around, and we saw a turtle, cuttlefish, clownfish, and a bunch of other fish I couldn't name.
This was a great experience. We went with Down Under Cruises and it was a great experience end-to-end. The start of the tour was with Sally's fantastic humor, supported by the entire staff of the boat. That set the tone for the day.
We had to make separate bookings for those who wanted to do scuba vs snorkeling so I ended up calling Viator. Both experiences were fantastic with very good instructions and guides. I booked a single dive but had the option of signing up for more dives while on the boat. The dive itself was fantastic and the entire training, testing, and the actual dive felt extremely safe. Other family members gave a thumbs up on their snorkeling experience as well. Kudos to the guides, and the entire staff of the boat.
A minor nuisance was the lack of instructions on the email sent by Viator. The email from Viator did not specify the tour operator and once we reached the fleet terminal, there were a number of operators. Thankfully, I was able to go into my reservation online and retrieve the name of the operator but if I didn't have 4G connection, it would have been tough. Even then we ended up at the dock and were then told go check in.
If snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef is on your bucket list, don’t miss this day trip from Cairns. You’ll visit two different locations on the barrier reef for the chance to see tropical marine life in the clear waters. Lunch is included on board the boat, and you have the option to upgrade to include additional adventures such as introductory or certified scuba diving or a helicopter flight over this UNESCO World Heritage site. Both water sports enthusiasts and novices are welcome.
Authentic Fijian Day Cruise - Best Day You Will Have In Fiji - Guaranteed
Exceeded my Expectations!
, Feb 2020
If I could give this tour 10 stars I would! Best day tour in Fiji! From the moment we were greeted to the service these guys provided thru the excursion, was very well done. The snorkeling locations were amazing and the food was very good. I applaud this family owned business for the friendly and attentive Fijian service. Very highly recommended!
The Mamanuca Islands can only be reached by boat, so take the stress out of transport planning by having everything organized for you. After a Denarau Island hotel pickup, you’ll board the boat and head to Sand Island, Monu Island, and Modriki Island. Seeing multiple islands in one day means you’ll make the most of your trip and cover more ground. Enjoy free time to swim and snorkel, and a delicious Fijian buffet lunch.
Altogether a lovely tour. Our guide Dartanian was very bright and enthusiastic. He was full of information, patient and chatty. It’s definitely worth a visit. Pleasant cafe and stunning countryside. Only missing a star as I hadn’t actually seen the films and its probably more relevant if you’re a fan.

This was a fantastic experience! This was a bit of a drive but our tour guide Grant was fantastic and was so knowledgeable about the area. Milford sound was beautiful but we also had the opportunity to stop multiple times along the way to see other beautiful parts of Fjordland National Park and even got to see some sites where Lord of the Rings was filmed!
We had a nice sunny day which made the experience even better. Your guide was knowledgeable and very accomadating. The staff on board was also very knowledgeable. They were extremely helpful avnd made sure all your individual needs were met. I would recommend this cruise to anyone. The intimacy of the trip was quite appart as compared to the large your groups. This company truly made the experience individualized for everyone on the van and boat.

Milford Sound Sightseeing Cruise with Scenic Round-Trip Flight from Queenstown
This is very different from an airline flight :)
, Jan 2020
If you never flew a small plane like this Cessna 208B, you have to know that flying in the mountains is an adrenaline experience as well. But it is definitely worths it! The mountains are magnificent, and Milford Sound is miraculous.
The service is very well organized, the personal is friendly and supportive. Highly recommended experience!
Take a window seat for a scenic round-trip flight from Queenstown to Milford Sound, and see the splendor of Fiordland National Park from the air and sea. Board a cruise and pass dramatic waterfalls and Mitre Peak as you travel to the Tasman Sea. Then soar over the Southern Alps on your return.
Louise was very knowledgeable & pleasant company. Only downside was the long drive. It did afford some spectacular views & our party of 6 felt we had truly experienced the interior of New Zealand by day’s end.
The fictional, yet globally famous, village of Hobbiton and the Waitomo Caves rank among the most popular sites of interest in New Zealand. Milford Sound Fly, Cruise and Helicopter Tour from Queenstown
Saving time was worth every doillar
, Jan 2020
We wanted to skip the 11 hour bus ride and were willing to pay some extra and add to the experience. We should have paid more ... the best part of this day was the helicopter tour and landing on a glacier ... the pictures, experience and views were priceless. It almost made Milford Sound a secondary thought. The cruise was nice and we saw a lot of waterfalls, wildlife and great views as well. The flight home just was icing on the cake as we got another perspective of the beautiful area we were in.
We had a wonderful chopper/cruise/fixed wing tour out to Milford Sound. The team at the base were great in getting us checked in and on our way.
Perfect weather which allowed us a snow landing. Magnificent scenery and our pilots were great, with ongoing commentary of what lay beneath us. The cruise was also excellent with all members of the crew very friendly and happy to engage and share their knowledge of Milford Sound.
What a wonderful experience! Pick up was prompt, the whole check in was easy and stress free.
The plane pilot was friendly and pointed out points of interest.
The cruise was beautiful and then the helicopter ride home was the highlight.
Worth every dollar!
Take your Milford Sound visit to ‘new heights’ thanks to this half-day adventure trip combining a scenic plane flight, boat cruise, and helicopter ride. Coromandel Day Trip (Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach)
A great way to spend the day!
, Feb 2020
This is a really cool day trip from Auckland. Cathedral Cove is an absolute must see if you are visiting New Zealand and Hot Water Beach is definitely an interesting experience. Be forewarned though, there is hiking involved- the walk to and from Cathedral Cove requires a reasonable amount of fitness so if this is problematic for you, opt to take the boat to the cove rather than do the walk. We had the BEST guide! She not only gave us great insights throughout our trip, she also gave us great suggestions on what to do in other areas of New Zealand.
The Cathedral Cave and Hot Water Springs trip was great. It took a few different digs to find hot water, but we did find some. Lots of people at the spot, but still pretty cool to do. Cathedral Cove was very scenic, but it does take quite a walk up and down hills, but it was worth it. It was a nice relaxing day and our tour guide Rach was awesome. She was full of energy and very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. The only downer is the 2 hours ride back, but if you want to see something that is very unique, what's two hours. Plus if it was closer there would be even more people. It was worth the time and money.
This trip was wonderful. Our guide Rachel was the best. We had such a good time. Hot water beach was really busy, but we still managed to find a spot. Our guide made sure we all were able to experience this. The hiking was beautiful and so worth it. Highly recommend.
Escape the bustle of Auckland for a day on this convenient day trip to the Coromandel Peninsula. A variety of activities are included, to make the most of your time in this naturally beautiful area: hike to Cathedral Cove, swim in the crystal waters, climb Mount Paku, and dig your own spa bath at Hot Water Beach. All on a handy organized day trip.

Dinner at Walter Peak High Country Farm and Cruise from Queenstown
, Feb 2020
Comfortable ride on SSEarnslaw through the pouring rain and swollen lake. Great to see the stoker's and giant engines in action. Very majestic.
BBQ is a modest description of the superb spread we were treated to. Excellent choices from veggies, fish, meat, seafood, salads, desserts and sweets tray. The best meat we have had in a long while.. Cooked to perfection.
Staff attentive, friendly and informative.
Stunning setting overlooking the lake to watch the Earnslaw leave and return. Despite the poor weather and flooding this was a magical experience.
Board the TSS "Earnslaw," a vintage steamship, for an evening cruise on Queenstown’s scenic Lake Wakatipu. Arriving at Walter Peak High Country Farm, you’re treated to a sumptuous barbecue dinner at the Colonel’s Homestead. Sink your teeth into roasted meats and seafood, homemade desserts, and a New Zealand cheeseboard. After dinner, see farm demonstrations or purchase a drink and simply relax in the bar.
Friendly staff and clean buses led to another great experience using this service. As always, using big bus Sydney gave us the chance to see the sights and get off to explore as we did in Bondi! Well done everyone.
Learning the city and being able to easily figure out where you would like to spend more time.
, Feb 2020
Great way to get oriented to Sydney! Easy to use. Getting on and off the bus simple with a representative at many of the stops to help! We hopped on around noon one day and since this is good for 24 hours we used it to go down to the opera house the next day. Very good system, thank you Bug Bus!

All-Inclusive Blue Mountains Day Trip with River Cruise
Excellent Blue Mountains tour
, Feb 2020
Great communication from company regarding pickup time prior to tour. We were met at Harrington street by Steve in a clean comfortable coach with toilet. Soon we departed Sydney heading for the new Sydney zoo where we had a tour 20 mins start before the zoo opened. On the way Steve was very knowledgeable and gave us some really good history about Sydney and what lay ahead for the tour with some funny jokes annecdotes.
At the zoo we had a tour and talk about the Aboriginal ways and also free time to roam ourselves.
We then headed for the town of Leura for lunch though it was nice it was only warm.
After lunch we headed for the mountains but the weather has already turned and it was lashing with rain.
We arrived at the Cable car and took a ride over to the other side and explored the valley below and it has a great risen walkway but may prove difficult for some as it has stairs and is steep.
I enjoyed the park despite the bad weather but the park was quiet - a bonus. On a bad note due to the weather the views were limited. ( NOT THE TOUR COMPANIES FAULT)
After the park we headed back to Sydney Olympic Park to catch the boat back to Sydney with views of the bridge and Opera House with a voucher to get a free complimentary drink (alcoholic)
I really enjoyed the tour despite the weather and they needed the rain after the bushfires and drought in the country and my only real complaint was the lukewarm lunch.
Steve was brilliant
This was a fabulous tour. Henry, the driver/guide was amazing. Prompt hotel pick up, visit to Sydney Zoo, tasty lunch in a little village in the Blue Mountains, entry to Scenic World and a river cruise back to the Harbour. Brilliant value, well organised and exceeded my expectations
Ben was a fabulous tour guide, very knowledgeable and personable. He had a complicated task since a couple of tours were combined into one, I believe because of cancellations as a result of fires and coronavirus, but he handled it all seemlessly... Some of us had lunch, rides. Boat cruise included and some did not.
A little more time could have been spent at Echo Point, I felt rushed and couldn't see everything in 45 minutes, and maybe knock off 15 minutes off the 2 hours at Scenic World... In my opinion. Overall, awesome tour.
Explore the Blue Mountains on a full-day tour that features the UNESCO World Heritage-listed region’s natural beauty, including landmarks like Three Sisters, Jamison Valley, Leura, and unlimited rides at Scenic World. On the return trip to Sydney, meet native Australian wildlife at Sydney Zoo, then cruise back to the city on a scenic Parramatta River cruise. Bonus: includes a delicious 2-course lunch at an award-winning restaurant.
