Jingshan Park (Yingshan Gongyuan), a green space in the heart of Beijing and home to one of the city’s few hills, was made from the earth dug out to make the Forbidden City’s moat. Covering about 57 acres (230,000 square meters), Jingshan Park once ...

This tour was wonderful - the value for money was incredible. It was definitely a highlight of our trip. Our guide was Jackson, who spoke English and is very happy and pleasant to spend a day with. The bus was cool and comfortable. The best part was lunch in the house in the Hutong - it was very authentic and delicious. I would recommend doing this tour towards the end of your time in Beijing - the view from Jingshan Park is spectacular, and even more so if you recognize the places you are looking at. This is a definite must!!

I would highly recommend taking a private tour of Beijing with Jason to anyone! Jason was highly professional and knew a ton about the city. My brother and I left amazed at all the history and culture the city has. Jason guided us through Tiananmen Square, Maos Museum, the Forbidden City, Jingshan Park, and the Hutong District. Jason showed us what certain symbols meant and why certain structures were built a specific way symbolism is a big part of Chinese cultures.
For lunch, Jason took us to a great local restaurant for Peking Duck and other Chinese dishes that were fantastic!
What really set Jason and his wife Coco apart was the amount of work and communication they put in to make our tour a success. They helped enter all the information we needed to visit certain places. My brother and I started our trip off in Shanghai and they helped us translate directions for taxi drivers and locals. After our tour, we were off to the Great Wall and Jason also helped us find an inexpensive taxi there. He also gave us his WeChat information and helped us out with any questions we had for the remainder of the trip.
I was recommended to Jason by a coworker of mine who had a great experience and I would do the same to anyone else!

This was a good tour. I would recommend to a person who has seen all of the main attractions and is looking to see something different towards the end of their stay in Beijing. The Lama Temple is magnificent with a calm atmosphere, my favorite temple in Beijing! The Hutong tour is good and very unique allowing for dinner in a locals house which is nice. Jingshan park is also very nice.

Overall I would recommend but would prioritize the major attractions first if your trip is not very long!

This was an excellent tour for a visitor with limited time. The guides were very knowledgable and helpful. After Jingshan Park, be sure to leave plenty of time to return to a downtown hotel as many cans are full and empty cabs goint the opposite direction will not turn around for you.

While we enjoyed the tour I did think the morning felt a bit rushed... the 'Tiananmen Square' piece of the tour was literally just standing in the middle of the square and looking around us, I thought there would have been a bit more to it. Jingshan Park was beautiful, I wish more time was given here. As there were only the two of us on the tour it was a little harder to have any time to sit, take a break from all the walking or just to enjoy the locations you were visiting. Our guide was lovely though and after a few days in Beijing we had loads of questions for her which she happily answered! She showed us how to follow the Subway system also which was really helpful to us over the next few days.
If you do the tea ceremony though, maybe be a little wiser than us and ask for the price first before taking part. Afterwards the price seemed to vary depending on how much we spent buying the teas...
The afternoon was brilliant, we really enjoyed the hutong tour and lunch in a local's house. It was just a very different experience and the food was yum :)
