The tour is average and being conducted by a multilingual guide in English then Spanish and then French. I speak all three so I get the same
Information 3x for everything. The day was a wintry and a strongly windy day with interspersed drizzles so it was not conducive to a lot of exploration. Average amount of information about the two cities was provided. One always wants to hear a lot more. Very nice sights and exterior is good for photographs. Since it was A
Sunday in February it was not swarming with tourists which the guide reminded us how lucky we were to be there when you could actually see something in Ghent and especially Bruges.
Very nice stop for lunch at Vivaldi Restaurant where I was able to eat more of the famous Belgian mussels and the local beer was very good with it too.
Very well organised trip. Everyone met at the tour shop just before 9am & Stefan our tour guide walked the group approx 300m to where the coach was waiting. We definitely wouldn’t have seen as much of Ghent & Bruges had we chosen to go it alone. I would highly recommend this day trip to anyone on a short visit to Brussels. The traditional Flemish beef stew is a must have👌Be prepared for a lot of walking, fitbit registered almost 23,000 steps but like Stefan said we all returned to the coach exhausted but very happy, Two amazing cities in one day. Thank you Stefan

Baptiste and Charlotte gave us an awesome tour! We tasted some great chocolates and had some tasty beers, and Baptiste kept us entertained over several hours. He gave recommendations on good places to eat and drink, and let us know where to stay away from. We also had some other delicious treats along the way to soak up a little of the beer. We met some fun people on our tour that made the experience even more full. This is one of the best tours we’ve taken, and was well worth the money.
The best time! Baptist was an incredible guide. We had so many chocolate and beer samples we were barely hungry for dinner. It was so fun going into so many different chocolate shops / bars in Brussels. I highly recommend this tour! Especially if only in Brussels for a short amount of time.

Thanks so much to Sebastian for an educational and entertaining beer tour around old Brussels. Lots of cool little bars in back alleys that we’d never have found on our own. And Sebastian knows everyone- it felt like getting a private tour with the mayor. Highly recommend!

Our English speaking guide was sick the day our our tour, so we decided to go ahead with the Spanish tour since we were leaving the next day. We ended up with Ana- who was so energetic and enthusiast, you could see the look on the other faces being caught up in the story she was telling. Luckily we had help from her intern who was very helpful in helping translate and she would touch base to see if we had any questions. Everything was great! Would recommend this tour and this company and will definitely look for other tours from them on future vacations.

Brussels Chocolate Beer Waffle & Belgian Whiskey (ALL-IN-ONE) tour
Best tour in brussels!
, Feb 2020
The best tour in Brussels I'm sure! Firstly the tour is comprehension you learn a ton about, chocolate, beer, whiskey and you eat a ton you will not be hungry chocolate Lots, beers Lots, cheese, sausage, pizza, waffles! Value for price extremely high! We went to pubs and shops you would never find. This is a food tour but I learned lots of Brussels history as well. Allow enough time for this tour I would say between 6-7hours. I loved it and would do it again and again! If I could give it more stars I would!
Great tour that included tour of city, culture and great info about chocolate and beer
, Dec 2019
Avol did a fantastic tour that lasted all afternoon. Saw many highlights of the city and had numerous chocolate, waffles and beer tastings. Some involved sitting down and relaxing while hearing about the Belgium history and culture. Seating were in historic bars found in out of the way places. Great Afternoon!
Avo was an incredible tour guide. The history and background behind each chocolate and each beer was above and beyond my expectations. I also firmly believe that you will not find a better tour than this - especially when it comes to the beer selection. Buy your ticket - you will not regret it!
Experience Brussels through your taste buds with this tour of the city’s culinary offerings. You'll sample famous Belgian chocolates, delicious speculoos cookies, and all sorts of Belgian beers, from lambics to Trappist ales (Including the exclusive Holy Grail of beers - Westvleteren XII). You'll then get to try Belgian whiskey (yes, it exists). At the end of your trip, you'll enjoy a Belgian waffle topped with chocolate and fruit.
We had a great time on this tour. The guide (Tom) was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the history of chocolate. We visited 5 stores and learnt about the history of each one, plus had a delicious tasting. We also had a waffle. The tour involves a fair amount of walking but it is worth it to see the different areas of Brussels not just the main busy central square.
Enjoy a delicious introduction to Belgium’s chocolate-making traditions on this tasting tour of Brussels. Meet your group directly at the city’s famous Grand Place, and venture to an array of Brussels’ beloved chocolate shops. Remembrance Tour: The Great War in Flanders Fields from Brussels
World War I Battlefields Tour of Flanders from Brussels
, Nov 2019
This was a very emotional day and brings home to you the great loss of young men during WWI. We had a very knowledgeable guide. Ieper is delightful and the ceremony at Menin Gate with a visiting UK Guards band was a highlight. Take cash for drinks as the place we were taken for lunch wouldn't accept credit cards. A long day but one I will never forget!!
Fanstastic and thoughtful day spent with a fabulous group of people. Diedrick was an amazing, amusing and very a knowledgable guide. Thank you for bringing the enormity of these events to life and to all my fellow travellers especially Claudette (Canada) and Katie (NZ) Bon Voyage..It was great spending the day with you :)

Round-Trip Shuttle Service from Zeebrugge to Bruges
day trip to Bruges
, Jan 2020
Day trip from P&O cruise ship docked in Zeebrugge. Coach office adjacent to Cruise Terminal, and very quickly we were on clean, modern coach on way to the bus park close to Bruges city centre.
after leaving the coach we noticed an old barge which had been turned into a restaurant. Great place for a coffee or even a full meal. Been to Bruges many times since we were kids (now retired) and it is still such a special place in Europe. Used Viator before in Hawaii and great service there, hence using them in Belgium.
Booking was easy and when we arrived the process was straightforward. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we saved ourselves a lot of money instead of taking the cruise excursion, which did exactly the same trip!
We use the Viator shuttle into Bruges every time we dock. It’s really convenient for the port gate, goes directly into Bruges and runs regularly on time. Very well organised by the team and at a reasonable cost. Excellent.
When your cruise ship docks in Bruges' port, you can easily travel to the historic city center with this round-trip shuttle service from Zeebrugge. Hop on the shuttle for the 20-minute (approximately) ride to Bruges, then take the shuttle back when you’re ready to return to your ship in the afternoon. Shuttles run every 30 minutes between 8:30 a.m. and 12 a.m., so there is no delay in getting back and forth to Bruges city center from your cruise ship.
We enjoyed the tour but we wished to have more time to explore. The guide was knowledgeable and professional. However, at the end of the tour they dropped us off at a different place and we had to walk more to the hotel and we had to ask for directions. I suggest that next time they drop people off at the same place where they are picked up.
Visit to cheese factory worst of tour. A run down business that added nothing to tour except as a toilet stop. Such a business would be closed down in NZ as not acceptable.
Tour guide was excellent and worth trip overall.

I loved Jamal's energy on this day trip. Although the weather was cold and the sun was on and off, I enjoyed learning about the history of these two cities. In addition, Jamal brought us to Cafe Rosario where I had the best espresso in Belgium. I would highly recommend him for your upcoming tour =).
The guide was knowledgeable and helpful. It was a small group so that made the whole experience more pleasant. Time in Bruges was short so either you had time for a relaxing lunch or a museum/cathedral visit but not both. More time in Ghent but some places closed early so you haf to manage your time. Bad rush hour traffic in Brussels on the way back. So take this trip on a weekend not on a week day.

On this tour, begin with pickup in central Brussels and visit both cities in one day with ease. During guided walking tours, discover top attractions including Minnewater, Saint Bavo Cathedral, and Walplein Square, and gain insight into the history and heritage of two of Belgium’s most beautiful and ancient cities.
The host was fantastic. I was alone but got paired up with someone else traveling alone. You learn a lot about how Belgians make their chocolate and get to make two different kinds of your own. Great value for the price!
This workshop is a great way to add some culture to your trip and learn something new. You also get to keep the chocolates you make which is a nice souvenir. The workshop is only 2-3 hours long as well so you can do it in the morning and then have the rest of the day to explore Brussels. Overall it was a very fun experience and I would highly recommend it.

Everything about this tour was great. The bus pick up point/drop off point was well organised. The coach was lovely and comfortable. The tour of Bruge was just right, my friend and I saw and learnt much more with a guide than we would have alone. Then there was enough free time to explore Bruges little streets, lace and chocolate shops. Very enjoyable and I would recommend this to tour anyone.
Make the most of your time in Belgium during this full-day excursion to Bruges from Brussels. Don’t worry about time-consuming public transit; instead, benefit from round-trip transfers, as well as the insight of a local guide who can share context you might not have discovered alone, before exploring independently at your own pace.
You can stop at the most important places in Brussels. They have been very well selected. But, at least in the Autum schedule, the time for a one-day tour is not enough to visit in deep al least 3 relevant places of the city
Always great way to get around a city although one stupid driver did have a go at my family for walking through the back door which I thought was a bit rude as there were only four of us going onto the bus! We were hardly trying to sneak on board you idiot!

My husband and I took this Best of Bruges tour on Christmas Eve (12/24/19) and we had a wonderful time getting to know more about the city. Our guide, Nicholas, was an excellent storyteller, and we learned so much about the history, culture, and people of Bruges. Our tour lasted approximately four hours and consisted of a chocolate demonstration/tasting, a sampling at one of the local breweries, and a crash course on the city's long and fascinating history. Nicholas walked us all over the historic district and delivered background information on major sites, buildings, and events in an entertaining and engaging way. We highly recommend this tour (and Nicholas) to anyone visiting Bruges!
Great tour! We met our guide in Grote Markt and he showed us all of the sites. You could tell how proud he is of his heritage. Loved that he loves medieval history and was able to bring the history of Bruges/ Brugge to life. He even showed us pictures at points on the tour to illustrate the story. The tour lasted about 4 hours. Great day! Thank you!

The tour was a great experience and we had a really good time thanks to our host Annelies. She also gave us very interesting information about the stores and how to truly enjoy chocolate. Overall it was excellent.
Though a bit pricy this tour was well worth your money. The tour included the basics of chocolate history and making, the belgian chocolate culture, as well as information about each shop we visited which made the tastings all the more interesting. All the chocolates we tried were delicious, starting from good to wonderful. Our guide Annalise was very personal and took care to make all of us feel included.

, Jan 2020
Very quick views of Antwerp and Ghent, but perfect for our four day vacation to Brussels as we would not want to spend a day in each city. If your vacation is longer I would recommend spending a day in each city. We loved Ghent and the walking tours of each city.

Bruges private tour
, Dec 2019
An extremely informative 3 hour tour around the streets of Bruges. It was a joy to have our own tour guide for the six people in our party rather than be part of a large tour group of various nationalities Xavier, our guide, was knowledgeable and entertaining. Highly recommended and great value for money. Pete
My wife and I were provided a very interesting and informative 3 hour tour around Bruges. The meeting place was easily located and our guide (Anne) was right on time for a 9:30 am start. Anne was 3rd generation Bruges so knew her town very well and we saw places we never would have discovered. I can definitely recommend this tour.

Excellent historical and informational trip, Our guide was extremely personable and had great local knowledge. Tour Organizers could do a better job with precisely where to meet, or even provide a big sign with the tour name on it, but other than that all was great, and fully recommended.
Delve into the poignant history of World War I on a full-day tour of the Flanders Battlefields from Bruges. Follow in the footsteps of soldiers with an accomplished historical guide and visit moving memorials that immortalize soldiers lost in battles. Gaze at endless rows of graves at the German Military Cemetery; revitalize with a traditional Belgian lunch at a local restaurant; and visit Flanders’ Field Museum to see exhibitions that speak eloquently of the area’s turbulent past. Conclude your emotionally stirring tour by experiencing the Last Post Ceremony in Ypres.
The tour was quite good. We learned the history of the Trappist beer (which is quite strong and delicious), had one bottle of Trappist beer and three samples, visited two local bars, and overall had a very good time. What could’ve been better is if our guide Quentin was better at delivering the stories related to the beers. At times he was all over the place and sharing info that was unrelated or didn’t add to the story. It made it feel a little tedious at points. That said he did a great job engaging the group and fostering communication.
Quinten was a great tour guide, and talked us through what beers we were trying, as well as the history of beer making and Belgium, we especially learnt alot about the abbeys and trappist beers, which was really interesting. Had a great night, and would definitely recommend this trip!
Overall, my entire family loved the beer tour. Tom was very informative as well as entertaining during the entire 3 hours - he knew a multitude about all different kinds of Belgian beers and was great at weaving European history into the overall tour as well. The 2 cons of the tour were 1. we arrived 15 minutes early and waited for 10 minutes past the tour start time and no one showed up at the meeting spot. Finally, a bartender from inside came and got the remaining of us since the tour had started 20 minutes early. 2. I read reviews that the tours were around 12-15 people, this tour was 24 people which was a little too much for me as I wanted a more intimate tour. In the future, I would recommend to the tour company to get 2 guides and split up the groups. Tom did an amazing job navigating all questions for the larger group but overall, I think dividing the group in half would've been a lot better.
