This was a relaxing trip on a sailboat to snorkel at Hol Chan and Shark Ray Alley. The boat moved along at a relaxed pace, which was fun since the day was beautiful and allowed us to enjoy the scenery. We were guided around Hol Chan's reefs. The reefs were good. They looked a little tired, but worth visiting. Next, we went to Shark Ray Alley where they threw chum into the water with us snorkeling up close to watch. Nurse sharks and different rays feed, along with smaller fish. It is neat to watch and maybe a little unnerving. Seeing a shark in the distance can be a little unsettling, but nurse sharks are relatively safe. Next we went to Caye Caulker for a relaxing lunch and had time to walk around and take in the sites. It was nice to see a different island with a different feel. The only slight downside to the trip was that the wind wasn't enough to really sail, but the sails were deployed to give us some shade. It worked. Well worth taking the trip. We all enjoyed ourselves.
Let me start saying that the stars of this trip are the Crew Members. Captain Charlie did a terrific job.
He took a lot of patience and good care of our daughter. They are very respectful and customer oriented. These guys makes a very positive impact on the tour, they both know their business seriously.
Sail boat is relaxing, you just let the wind to do the job.
We had a blast in Hol Chan, snorkels were functioning perfect. The fish view is outstanding, nice area for a family with a young kid.
The Shark Ray Alley was kind of fast, I wish we should have had a little bit more of time. But definitively so much fun with the Nurse Sharks and Eaglerays.
Caye Caulker seems more for Party Boys and Girls. But it is a lovely Island. Seafood is always fresh.
From the tour execution I would say Excellent, however there is only one major suggestion, the people in the office should have better communication especially when there is a tour day change. We left messages on the phone that were not replied back.
Cast off from Ambergris Caye for a full-day sailing and snorkeling trip to Caye Caulker, Hol Chan Marine Park and shark ray alley. Slip off the boat to explore Hol Chan’s renowned reefs, where vibrant fishes, sea turtles and delicate corals thrive within the protected reserve. Swim alongside gentle nurse sharks and stingrays in the shallow water, and encounter Belize’s extraordinary wildlife up-close. Continue to Caye Caulker for a 2-hour sightseeing visit, then sip rum punch and enjoy the afternoon sunshine as you sail back to San Pedro Town.

Ambergris Caye Sunset Sail Tour on the 40' Sirena Azul Sailboat
Sunset Cigar Cruise!
, Nov 2019
The sailboat and guides were top notch! Nothing more beautiful that the sun setting and moon rising over the water. Sadly I guess it is company policy to allow a guest to pollute the fresh sea air and disturb the comfort of others by smoking a cigar the entire trip. Otherwise it would have been a 5 star experience. I was bummed after bringing it to the captain's attention that it was allowed. It was very rude and detracted greatly from the experience.
Watch the sun set into the Caribbean Sea as you sip rum punch aboard a 40’ sailboat, with a 3-hour sailing tour from Ambergris Caye. Enjoy a comfortable seat on deck, and listen to tropical tunes from the on-board sound system while the captain navigates the bright blue water. Sail south along the scenic edge of Ambergris Caye, watch for dolphins and sea turtles in the evening light, then spot the first tropical stars as you return to port.
Increase your chances of spotting some of the Caribbean Sea’s most diverse marine life on a snorkeling tour of Caye Caulker. That tour allows you to escape the crowds of Belize City by bringing you to the paradise island by water taxi. Plus, for a seamless experience, all snorkel equipment and transfers are included.
Wowza! This was an amazing half-day adventure! Victor, our guide, made sure everyone was comfortable in the water and was constantly pointing out the various fish and providing information about the different species. It was fun diving down with him (if you chose to) to get a closer look at the corals and smaller fish. The rays clearly knew him and were excited to see him. Getting close to the nurse sharks was both terrifying and thrilling at the same time. Being on the sailboat was very relaxing and learning about Belize's barrier reef and what the country if doing to protect and revive the reef was eye-opening. This was a great tour and I highly recommend it!
Victor and Andy were great! It’s a must do excursion while in Belize! The sailboat ride was great as was the entire experience of snorkeling by the reef and with the sharks and stingrays. Would definitely do this again!

This was the best deal financially but also so very good deal for the experience! Jose who drove us was amazing and talk to us all the way there about the history of Belize . he is the nicest man and such a good driver! Colin who was our tour guide on the boat went out of his way to give us extra experiences with all the different kind of birds we even got to see bats up close. He is a very careful driver and happy friendly he cooked our meal and it was completely delicious and we did not get sick at all. Both of these guys had a lot of energy and enthusiasm and knowledge we could not have been more pleased! We were happy to give them each their own tip so be generous because they rely on this tip money to support their families . So we are big fans of viator! Thank you and please tell our guides how very much they made everyone in our group happy
Our guide Emir was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and answered a ton of questions. Lunch was homemade and delicious.
The river cruise was fun and got to enjoy lots of wildlife and learn about the beautiful scenery.
We saw the howler monkeys once we arrived on shore.
I highly recommend this tour to learn about Mayan history and culture. They were an amazing cultivation.
Discover what makes Lamanai one of Belize’s most impressive Mayan ruins on this full-day tour that takes you through an excavated ancient city that rises mysteriously out of the jungle. Look for native wildlife including birds and crocodiles on a river cruise to the archaeological site, where the ruins of the Jaguar and Mask Temples and ancient Mayan palaces beg exploration. See fascinating artifacts like clay pots and temple carvings at the on-site museum, and round out the day with a typical Belizean lunch at a restaurant.
Full day snorkeling at HOL CHAN.(NOT for CRUISE SHIP guests)

The usual overused adjectives really does apply here: awesome, amazing, fantastic, etc.
The reefs are in good condition, and you'll see many species of fish, even turtles and nurse sharks up close (probably).
I really enjoyed the tour as such and you get to be in the water a lot during this tour as you go different sites to snorkel around. The guides are fun and like to joke around but they are serious about protecting you and the maritime wild life. The food was good too! The only thing I have to criticise quite a lot is the lack of communication. The mention you can get the ferry tickets through them if you stay outside of Caye Caulker, so I inquired about it and was told it's 15 USD. Fine, so I told them I'd like to have them and how to proceed, where to get them etc. I never got a reply (this was in Dec.) Then the day before I enquired again and haven't received a reply yet again, as I only have a foreign phone the charge it would have been for me to pay a call was too high. So I had to pay double the fare for the ferry in the end as I didn't know if the tickets had been put aside or whatever. Upon arrival I then was told to pay for the tickets, fortunately I didn't have to pay them after I explained that I never heard back but I would have liked to hear that they are sorry for the lack of communication which didn't happen. Then I also found out that we could be dropped at San Pedro, which was nowhere communicated and didn't even seem to be an option. Apparently it is though if you have a min. of 5 people stay there. It would have been great to have this communicated as I wasted money on a) the ferry in general and then b) also on the return, as I obviously bought it as a return trip in order to safe there at least. So make sure to inquire about this beforehand, especially if you are more than 5 people...
But that aside it is definitely worth it!
Hol Chan was amazing. Part of the tour was guided and then part you were able to explore the reef solo. Swim with sharks and rays! So much fun! Philip was awesome. They take a go pro and send you pictures and videos at the end of the day.

As part of a Carnival Cruise visit to Belize, my girlfriend and myself booked this excursion through Belize Caribbean Tours, instead of a cruise ship tour. Unfortunately only 4 people had booked this tour, so the minimum required number of people was not met. We were sure our day in Belize was wasted. NOT so. Belize Caribbean Tours realized our disappointment and offered to provide a tour guide for our 2 party group ! The tour guide, Ms Adyvah Badillo Taylor, led us on a private personal tour of Caye Caulker Island where we did many things in addition to the activities that the booked tour would have provided. She made suggestions to enhance our 4 hr visit. We had drinks on the beach, fed bait fish to huge Tarpon and pelicans, toured gift shops, and walked around the local area. Ms Taylor was very friendly, personable, knowledgeable, and tailored our tour to suit us. She made sure we would make it back in plenty of time to board our ship. We highly recommend Belize Caribbean Tours and particularly Ms Adyvah Badillo Taylor for any tour that you might consider that they offer. It’s not often these days that a company and individual exceed expectations and go way above what is required. We are very appreciative of their efforts to make this a special tour !!
You will be taken by boat for a 45 minute journey to the beaches of Caye Caulker. On the island, your first visit is to feed the tarpons. After, you are free to explore the island on your own or with one of our guides, stroll on the sandy streets of one of Belize’s famous islands and swim in the pristine waters of the Caribbean Sea. There are numerous restaurants, bars, local grocery and gift shops, you can visit!
