Amazing small group led tour. Learned a lot about the history of the beautiful city of Budapest while visiting many tourist attractions. Make sure to bundle up if you go in the winter as you will be outside for a good amount of the tour.
I got everything out of this tour that I expected. Monika was very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the city and region. She made sure that even after the tour that we had plenty more planes within the city and beyond.

Patricia was very knowledgeable tour guide and showed us through the major synagogues and other Jewish sites of Budapest. She was very friendly, answered all of our questions and led a very thorough tour. Would highly recommend it.

This food tour is a fantastic introduction to Budapest
, Jan 2020
On this afternoon-long, leisurely-paced food tour, we were introduced to Hungarian cheeses, meats, pastries and drinks. We made at least seven stops in the Central Market and the old city. Our guide, Ange, was a gifted hostess. Her enthusiasm was infectious and her knowledge of the local cuisine made each meal even better. When choosing a food tour in Budapest, choose this one.
Our recent trip to Budapest was very enjoyable, connected with a great interesting foodie walking tour, with some great past history, and Quirkey gems of shops and markets, shared with dear family, Our tour guide Peter was so welcoming and helpful.

An outstanding tour, and an outstanding guide. The food choices were excellent, and Nick was incredibly informative, not only about the foods, but about the Hungarian people and the history of the country. An excellent way opportunity to get an in depth look at the Hungarian culture. Highly recommended.
Very much enjoyed the walkabout through parts of the city we would not have known to explore. Good variety of food and beverage samples in wide ranging styles of pubs and eateries. Tour guide was well versed and seemed to enjoy herself also. Would recommend!

We paid £82 for this tour with Viator a taxi picked us up from our hotel & literally drove us round the corner to the Intercontinental Hotel where we waited at least 15 minutes. We then boarded a coach & were driven 5 minutes round the corner to the Parliament Building. We were given our tickets & put in a queue. Our Viator guide then left & that was that!!?? We then joined an English tour provided to everyone & anyone by the building itself. The building is beautiful & a "must see" for sure. We paid £82.00 for this with Viator - if we had simply booked the same tour that we went on with the English speaking guide at the same time via the Parliament Building website directly it would have cost us £36.33 !!!!! We literally have no idea what we paid the extra £50 for??? Evrything is so close & we could have walked there in 5 minutes ourselves. Please book this attraction directly & save yourselves a lot of money!!! You cannot go round on your own and must join a tour but that is all provided anyway for less than half the price.
We were told where the pick up location was and we waited and waited. I called designated number and was told to return to the boat and wait on the road (a major busy highway with no place to park). Finally after several phone calls, we were picked up at the original place and taken to the local office where we were put on a van that took us to the Parliament. No explanation previously and a lot of confusion. The tour of the Parliament was excellent but lack of explanation or communication caused a lot of anxiety and anger.
Enjoy a tour inside the architectural jewel of Budapest, the Hungarian Parliament Building. Home to the Holy Crown of Hungary, explore its impressive interior, including stops in the Session Room, the Great Vaulted Hall, and at the central staircase. Soak up the history behind the walls of Hungary’s largest building as your guide provides historical and anecdotal commentary.
I was running a bit late but the tour office was able to contact the guide, Christian, who was nice enough to come back for me. He had a lot of good knowledge about the history of the city and let the group set its own pace. We had time to stop and grab a mulled wine to nurse along the journey. I took off a star just because sometimes he was a bit too quiet and hard to hear and it would have been better to spend a bit less time at some of the places and a bit more time at the castle district, but that's just my personal preference. Overall, it was a great tour, especially for such a low price.
We enjoyed our Budapest Historical Sightseeing Tour very much!

She quickly recognized that we had seen many of the main attractions of the city, and on the spot improvised a different tour to show us sights that we had not as yet seen. She was very knowledgeable and fun to be with. We are very happy that we took the tour with her!

We absolutely loved our walking tour!! The value of what we paid for what we learned and saw was amazing. She asked us what we knew and what we were looking for and she catered the tour around us. The basement of the tour studio was incredible. We loved the stop for coffee and snacks, awesome sight to see. She was also VERY funny and brought life to everything we saw 10/10 would recommend for everyone that visits!!!!
Learned a great deal about the history and the experience the people had during WWII and after. How life changed for the people and country. Our tour guide, Balint Alkonri, did an excellent job. Would highly recommend this tour.
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour and it was an afternoon well spent. Our guide was very passionate about his subject matter and had very in-depth knowledge. The late lunch provided was delicious and we had it at this very interesting venue. This is not a cheap tour but we thought it was worth it.

The Dinner cruise was worth taking for the views of an evening, the buffet food wasnt the best, but its a good experience.

The best thing we did in Budapest was our tour of the Jewish Quarter with Timea. I can't say enough praise for her and the tour that she gave us. She picked us up at our hotel, was prompt, and went at our pace. She taught us so much about the Jewish history in Budapest before, during and after the Holocaust. She is incredibly knowledgable and also was comfortable sharing her personal stories. We had many interesting conversations with her about what we were seeing, which really enriched our experience. We saw much more than what you see on the typical group tour. It's easy to feel a warm connection with Timea, and I can't recommend her highly enough.
