While it may seem odd that one of Buenos Aires’ principal attractions is a cemetery, this is no ordinary graveyard. Recoleta Cemetery (Cementerio de Recoleta) is one of the world’s most exquisite necropolises—home to more than 6,400 tombs, mausoleums, and monuments laid out in formal tree-lined avenues, including the grave of Eva Perón (Evita).

Great tour if cemetery's are your thing.
Lots of information, quite a long tour though. be prepared for heat when on the tour with hat, sunscreen and water.
Our guide Jumina was excellent. Brought the cemetery to life!
A history lesson and more. Sadness, humour and education rolled into a fabulous 2 plus hours
Great stories and energetic caring guide. If you wander solo, you’ll miss out on the history. It says it’s with free walking tours. But there is a charge and they will ask for your name at the end of the tour.
Ignacio was a wonderful tour guide. Very knowledgeable as well as entertaining. He provided both historical and current context for what we were seeing. We never felt rushed and it was like spending time with a much more knowledgeable friend. I can’t recommend this tour enough.
Our guide, Victoria, was great. We though the 2 hours would feel long but they flew by! She did great story telling, we appreciated that she stopped in shaded areas to tell us stories about some of the sites that are in direct sun, and the pace was great. Highly recommend her!
