We were looking for a small group tour that would be different. This was definitely that.
The title ".......Farm to Table" led us to believe the food we would be preparing came from the farm we visited but that is not case. However, that did not diminish the experience in any way. This is just an observation.
Goshen Farms is charming place to visit. There are also guesthouses with a small pool which can be rented. Our hostess - whose name I had written down, then lost, was an absolute delight.
We prepared a traditional Aruban meal which was so much fun! After we sat and enjoyed our meal under a thatched roof with a beautiful sunset.
We recommend this to anyone who enjoys trying new things.
Don’t settle for sampling Aruban food at restaurants: deep-dive into the island’s cuisine on this farm-to-table cooking experience. Visit a country estate and working farm, and enjoy a hands-on lesson from a local cook in creating a traditional Aruban meal using farm-fresh ingredients. Enjoy a farm tour and once your dishes are cooked in the stone-brick oven, savor dinner with drinks as the sun sets over the fields.
This is a must do if you like to party. The hosts were amazing and the party was unbelievable. We would do over and over if we could handle it. If you get momma as a guide you are set for a good night.
We missed this trip last year 2018 and so I was really excited to do it this year. Overall it was alot of fun, drink specials shot glasses. The driver and the assistant (Baby Girl) were great. We did the YMCA on a bar, fun little line dances. The Pickup process is very long. We waited for a group for about 10-15min, then did some other pickups to go back to the same hotel to get the group that was late.
My suggestion would be to have eveyone meet at one spot and go from there. We were on the bus for 1hr 30min before the actual "party" started and there were two women on there before we got on.
Ride a colorful party bus bound for Aruba’s best watering holes during this fun night out. Tour the Caribbean island in a lively open-air bus, stopping at the best bars off the beaten track with your local guide. Enjoy a complimentary shot at each of four stops, as well as drink specials and the opportunity to learn some local dances. Hotel pickup and drop-off is included.
Explore Montego Bay through its cuisine on this private Jamaican food-tasting tour. With a guide, taste local dishes such as brown stew fish, curry goat, and, of course, jerk chicken. Plus, stop at a fruit stand to sample fresh mangoes, coconuts, and more. Enjoy transportation by private vehicle.
Immerse yourself in the culinary culture of the Dominican Republic—beyond simply eating in local restaurants—with this hands-on cooking class. Food-loving travelers will love learning about traditional Taino cooking and tasting fresh local ingredients. Suitable for participants of all ages, this class finishes up with a feast of the creations the class made.
Great trip for our foursome - exceptional crew, champagne greeting nice touch, great music, lovely dinner (3/4 thot the steak may have been a bit overcooked). So enjoyed ourselves and our table mates’ company - see you next year Red Sail!!!!
A bit disappointing. Boat was typical Catamaran with nothing Luxury about it. Too many people. We were cram seated in the middle of the boat with the only view being the bar and food set-up. Had to get up and move the entire time to be able to see ocean, sunset, etc. This middle bench should never be used for this event. Will not recommend.
we were a party of four. We found online. before we went in our trip. We called to book it and the agent gave us lots of information. We were glad we boomed ahead as it only goes on Wed and it was almost full. We were greeted with champagne and an open bar, food was fantastic and more than enough. The boat was not over crowded and the staff were exceptional! would highly recommend and great value for dollar!
Set sail from Aruba for a dinner cruise by catamaran, then watch the sun set into the Caribbean as you drink and dine on deck. Enjoy an open bar throughout the cruise, and nibble local and international fare from a sumptuous, three-course buffet. Take in Aruba’s shoreline scenery and cool sea breezes, then return to Palm Beach as the stars appear over the island.
Besides the wonderful introduction into Old San Juan cuisine, our guide provided an abbreviated but succinct history of the island and Old San Juan. The food and drink were excellent and the local tales were fascinating. Only a local could provide such insight.
Rosea was a fantastic guide! Upbeat, energetic, funny and extremely knowledgable about history and customs. Food was amazing, walk was easy and enjoyable- she even took us down through the red gate and along the shore. I was full- food was great and e ough to be dinner, cocktails were great, HIGHLY recommended!! So glad I did this!! Thanks Rosea!!
Stroll through San Juan's evening twilight in the company of a guide, stopping to taste traditional Puerto Rican dishes, on this 3-hour food tour. Make five stops focused on family-run establishments and local ingredients, tasting at each one. Your guide will show you hidden gems that you might not ordinarily find on your own and orient you to the culinary culture and history of San Juan.
Had a great time and an incredible meal. It was an experience worth every penny. My only recommendation would be some sort of rail on the stairs down to the farm tour to help those people with mobility issues.
Experience the art of authentic farm-to-table Jamaican cuisine during a farm tour and cooking demonstration at Zimbali Mountain Cooking Studio outside Negril. Your lunch or dinner tour includes a full course meal with a bottle of wine per couple. Choose from fish, shrimp, chicken, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Since this tour is limited to just 20 people, you’ll have plenty of time to ask questions, too.
Perfect excursion for a short trip! We only spent the weekend in Bermuda and this was the perfect tour to see and learn about its history, diverse culture, and the beauties of the island. We did the tour with Craig who was fantastic and there were surprisingly no other couples or people on the tour. So we had him all to ourselves! :) He went above and beyond to make my boyfriend’s birthday so special at each and every stop (all a surprise)! There’s certain things I don’t typically eat like a avocado/guac or fish, I didn’t give Craig any food restrictions and he blew me away with choices I would never select for myself! Each and every single stop was amazing, accommodating to our needs, and made my boyfriend’s birthday one to remember. The tour was beyond what I could imagine for a 2 year old company. They deserve all the great credit they have been given and more! We will see you guys very very soon!
Mark "OC" was phenomenal!!! We went to restaurants we would not have otherwise gone to. We ate foods we would not have eaten. We learned things about Bermuda that we never knew and saw places we had never seen. It was truly our best visit to Bermuda yet!
Sample the best of the city of Hamilton...Enjoy this 3 hour, mile-and-a half walking food tour in a delicious way...one site and one bite at a time.
Guests have three different tours to choose from, each with it own unique stops. From traditional Bermudian dishes to a variety of international fare, you get a true flavor of the island. Your experience is further enhanced by the addition of quintessential cocktails such as the Dark 'n Stormy, rum swizzle and others which accompany many of the tastings. Those with common food allergies or dietary restrictions are accommodated and welcome on this culinary journey.
The Caribbean cuisine is still very traditional. Most recipes are passed on from generation to generation. This is where chef Helmi Smeulders makes a change. With other chefs focusing on traditional recipes, Helmi finds different ways to use Caribbean ingredients and create new and exciting dishes. During her hands-on cooking class, you will learn all about it.
Helmi will show you all kinds of Caribbean fruits and vegetables. On the spot they get prepared, so you can taste them as well. Learn tips and tricks about using these ingredients. Like the easiest way to peal a mango or open a fresh coconut. You'll also learn how to fillet fish.
Then is it time to pick up the pots and pans and prepare the lunch menu; in groups of 2 you will prepare several dishes and sides. Helmi and her assistant are always available to help you.
When all the cooking is done, we will sit together at a nicely set table outside and enjoy a delicious home-cooked Caribbean lunch. During lunch wine is included.
We took this tour on December 9, 2019. Claudette was a very knowledgeable tour guide and shared with us some excellent foods. Definitely will not leave this tour hungry! Only suggestion for improvement, instead of standing in the hot sun in parking lot of the Methodist church, suggest pointing it out and telling history when sitting at next food stop.
Barbados is home to many delicious eateries but, as a visitor, it can be difficult to find the locals' favorite spots serving the best food. Join this walking food tour through the streets of Bridgetown and indulge in a real Bajan experience by sampling great cuisine at some of the city's best off-the-beaten-path culinary treasures.
I once again, my family and I partied with our crazy friends, Mama and Richard, for my birthday on the dinner and nightlife tour. Being with "Mama" is always a pleasure and "most definitely" a good time! The party gets started the minute they pick you up, non stop til they drop you back off. Going through "roundabouts" will never be the same once you experience the "Kukoo Kunuku" way to go through a roundabout...try that back home! Their tshirts say "I Love My Crazy Friends" and I do! Here's to celebrating another birthday with you and continued success. Love to all!
Visit 3 local bars and enjoy a starlight dinner during this evening tour in Aruba. Board a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted party bus and you'll be greeted with a Champagne toast to get the party started. Enjoy a typical Caribbean cuisine dining experience and make new friends to party the rest of the night away with. Sip a complimentary drink at each location and enjoy drink specials all evening long. Round trip-transportation from local hotels is included.
We truly enjoyed our tour at Heritage. Your arms will get a workout as you make chocolate from scratch. The instructor was very helpful and went above and beyond to ensure my husband and I enjoyed our experience. Our guide at the rum factory was educational but our guide made it a fun and funny experience! Note that the tours are 2 separate locations. Definitely wear comfortable shoes.

We ended up with a private lesson with Francesca and her team, and they were all so warm and hospitable. We learned the history of Sancocho, learned and tasted some of the unique local ingredients, and made the dish together at individual stations. The meal was delicious, and the whole evening was a lot of fun. I would recommend for anyone interested in trying local food, as well as an exciting change from your typical resort fare. Thanks for the wonderful evening!

We had such a great time on this tour! It started off with a tasting of 5 different rums which put everybody in a good mood right off the bat. During the tasting, our guide was telling stories about the history of rum running and piracy in The Bahamas. This is also where we had the first of the food tastings so that we weren't drinking on empty stomachs. This was a good idea.
After the tasting, we were each given a refreshing drink (made with rum, of course) to take on our walk to the next stop. I won't go into detail about each stop but I will say that they were all great with really good food and drinks. These are places that I didn't even know existed in Nassau and I'm so happy I was able to see them.
The tour ended at the John Watling's Distillery where we had, and I'm not even exaggerating, the best Pina Colada you will ever taste. I had a sample of this a few years back and the full drink was every bit as good as I remember.
If you're looking for something to do in Nassau that will take you off the beaten path and show you some seriously cool places you didn't know about all while sampling tasty drinks and food along with meeting some fun people along the way, this is the tour for you.
So I read in a lot of reviews that the Rum Tour was one of people's favorite parts of the trip. Turns out, they were right! Our tour guide MIKEY was the best! He was super funny, incredibly knowledgeable, and really on top of things. You learn a lot about piracy - which was nothing like the movies portray it - about the Bahamas and of course about rum. You get a surprising amount of food and drink for the price. It really is an incredible deal. I was a little bummed at first with the first set of rums we were trying because the majority were rums that are common in the US. BUT, Captain Morgan down there does not taste like it does up here! It has more vanilla and is way better. It was so good we bought a bottle to bring home! So don't be fooled by what you're getting - there are differences. The art studio was particularly awesome and we absolutely loved walking through the enormous, old hotel and seeing where the cigars are made and tasting chocolates. DO IT! And if possible, request MIKEY because he really was the best!!! He made the tour even better than it already was!!!

Excellent tour. Owner imparted a wealth of information about the process of fine chocolate making.
Tasted some of the raw materials used in the process as well as tasting several different kinds of chocolate made at this location.
This was such a treat! The smell of the roasted/ blending beans are heavenly to the nose and taste! I thought i was a chocolate snob before this tour; not sure how I will ever eat commercial chocolate again. Just might have to come back to Barbados!
Very informative history of chocolate and the chocolate making process. You are able to taste the chocolate during every stage of production. Proprietor was friendly and offered lots of information about his history and his products. Special Note: Try the coconut milk ice cream A+++

You know how you go on a trip, and people ask you how it was? This was the first cruise for my fiance and I, so there was a lot that we could talk about. But the one thing that we bring up every time was the Food Tasting and Cultural Walking Tour put on by Captain Ron!
Captain Ron was AMAZING! Great walking tour put together with lots of great information. It started to rain very hard on us during the tour, and Captain Ron was ready with ponchos. Despite the weather, we had a great time; one of the most memorable parts of our trip!!! I highly recommend Captain Ron and his Food Tasting and Cultural Walking Tour to anyone going to Nassau; you won't be disappointed!
The Nassau Food Tasting and Cultural Walking Tour were a highlight of our trip! My husband and I could not have been happier with the experience that Captain Ron gave us! It was above and beyond what we expected. His personality, humor, deep understanding and love for his country are evident. We would hands down repeat this tour and I have already recommended it to others traveling to the area soon.
My wife and I did this tour last week and we enjoyed our selves. The food and drinks were ranging from good to excellent. This tour is a good way to introduce your self to the Bahamian food and the downtown food scene. I would also recommend you to do it early on your visit to the Bahamas.
It could also be useful to know that that the tour does not cover that much of the Nassau history and landmarks. If you want that as well, you could do another tour later on in your Bahamas trip.
Explore Bahamian cuisine and culture on this food and walking tour in Nassau’s historic neighborhood. Sample tasty foods at six venues – including family-owned restaurants and specialty shops. Sip on handcrafted rum cocktails while you nibble on classic conch fritters and Bahamian mac ‘n’ cheese. Expect food quantities to be equivalent to a hearty lunch. Beyond the bites, you’ll also experience the rich culture and architecture Nassau has to offer. This is a small-group tour, with a maximum of 12 people, ensuring a personalized experience.
