Curacao spans an area of just 171 square miles and has a population of only 150,000 inhabitants – yet, its rocky, coarse dirt infields have produced an impressive number of baseball players that have made it to the major leagues in recent years. In fact, Curaçao even holds the record for having the highest number of major league baseball players per capita of any country in the entire world. Now you can get acquainted with this vibrant, colorful island by way of the neighborhoods and baseball fields that shaped these major leaguers into the players they are today. You may even run into one or more of these players as they prepare for the upcoming season on their home turf! Sand and Stilettos teamed up with San Francisco Giants’ bench coach Hensley Meulens to create Curaçao’s only baseball-themed tour just for you to get to know this small Caribbean island with big (league) talent.
