I really enjoyed this tour. Our guide Amanda was very knowledgeable about the region. She took us on an interesting tour of the Reims cathedral where we learned more than we would have on our own. Both tours of Moet et Chandon and Taittinger were really great although I enjoyed the tour and guide at Taittinger slightly more due to the emphasis on the historic significance or the cellar. We enjoyed the tastings at both houses - I recommend upgrading to the vintage tasting at Moet et Chandon. Amanda took us to see the tomb of Dom Perignon and stopped at a lovely viewpoint so we could capture the beautiful vineyards in their fall colors. I highly recommend this tour as a way to experience the Champagne region and all of its finery.
Great tour guide who can answer all the stupid questions that you have on your mind about champagne. Tours in Moet et Chandon and Taittinger are good.
Wonderful tour, great english. No issues what so ever. Very informative. We started off in Reims and saw the cathedral, then made our way to Taittinger. Their champagne is wonderful. Afterwars we made our way on the hills of the champagne region and actually saw the grapes that will later make it into Moet et chandon. Eppernay is cute. Had a quick lunch with the group on our own, and continued the tour. I would recommend to anyone with love and passion for hand crafted wines and the love for champagne and french countryside. Our group was like 8 people. Perfect.
This tour is great! Even though it's a full day tour it doesn't feel like it. The time goes by fast and everything is interesting! You have an option to upgrade your tasting at Moët to two glasses of vintage for 12 euro a person. We did it and I don't think it was worth it, the regular glass you get at Taittinger was better tasting than the two upgraded glasses at Moët. I wasn't the only one who thought that, everyone else in our tour group thought the same thing. Our tour guide was Justine, but from what I understand our tour was the last one for her as she is moving to the US with her husband. She was wonderful though, future guests of this tour are definitely missing out by not having her!
