This was my second trip with this company. I want to praise the accommodations for disability that made it possible for me to participate. The route given us (# 5, I think) was not as enjoyable for me as the one that went by the Battery, but it did yield a lot of new-to-me Charleston history. I was especially impressed that Rowdy, our horse, seemed to thoroughly understand the traffic lights even when our guide was facing us talking! I recommend this attraction. I had noticed in the past that the guides with red sashes seemed especially knowledgeable in the bit of narration you heard as they passed by. That is why I’ve chosen your company.
Went on the historic tour with our driver/guide Dennis. He was very knowledgeable about Charleston. Dennis made the tour very enjoyable. Probably the best driver/guide. After the tour we enjoyed lunch at Henry's, walked the city and got coffee at Bitty & Beau's.

More in depth walking tour rather than superficial call outs
, Jan 2020
The tour was great. Very interesting and learned many interesting historical facts that I was not aware of. Also got to see everything that I was interested in as we walked through the city. Bill, our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining to spend the two hours with.
Also, he did not receive our confirmation from Viator, but was very gracious in letting our group of 4 join the tour even though it was not in his system.
Overall, it was a great experience and highly recommended.
This should be renamed the unfiltered Charleston tour that dives into the true history of Charleston, including the non-uplifting history to the fun history of Charleston. Our tour guide was so knowledgable and clearly knows the history of the city, industry, wars, etc. Highly recommend to anyone as this was the highlight of our trip and truly memorable experience.
Without a guided walking tour, you might miss some of the eclectic history and hidden nooks and crannies around Charleston that make this city such a gem. This walking tour takes you through the French Quarter and South of Broad neighborhoods to top sights such as the Rainbow Row, the Old Slave Mart Museum, and the Old Exchange, all while your guide shares stories from Charleston history and lore.
Our guide was Dustin - a very agreeable pairing of Mary Louise Parker and Ronan Farrow: smart, sly and attention-grabbing. We learned things we didn’t know we needed to know, sampled comestibles we’d scarcely heard of and made new friends - all at once. Highly recommend
Visited 4 restaurants and ate a ton of food. We went to Hooked Seafood, Poogans Smokehouse, Hot Little Biscuits and Kaminsky's Dessert Café. Dale was super! She knew the history of the area and kept us engaged will her story telling. Great time!

My tour guide, Will, was very knowledgable, friendly, and engaging. The tour was entertaining and fun. I learned very interesting facts about the roles religion played in our nation’s history, significantly in how diseased and deceased people were treated. I highly recommend this tour!
Mr. Neil was extremely friendly, shared great stories and showed chilling photos. The exclusive entry into the graveyard was great and we loved every minute of it! If you are looking for a ghost tour be sure to book this one with Mr. Neil, we look forward to seeing him again.

Magnolia Plantation Tour with Transportation from Charleston
, Oct 2019
My Mum and I did this tour whilst on holiday in Charleston. Bus was comfortable, guide (Shawn) was clear, personable and organised, journey time to plantation was good (40 minutes ish). I liked the varied activities that came included in the tour that gave your a good overview of the gardens, wildlife and house itself, plus some free time. After a very sociable pick-up time of 10:30 we were then back in Charleston promptly for 3, it was nice to have a tour which didn't dominate an entire day but was long enough to feel full. My only criticism would be the lack of refreshment stop until 12:45 (although there was a bathroom stop upon arrival), an opportunity to get a coffee prior to this would've been really appreciated. I understand there's a schedule to keep to and overall all ran very smoothly. Would recommend.
Pickup and drop-off from downtown Charleston make it easy to tour Magnolia Plantation, one of the oldest plantations in the South. This 4-in-1 tour includes a narrated drive out to the plantation, a walking tour of the garden, tram tour through the property, and tour of the house itself, providing incredible value.
We learned so much about the local wildlife and ecosystem! We got to see dolphins, crabs, shrimp, oysters, and a variety of birds. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the ecology of the area and the attractions (restaurants/things to do) in Charleston. The instruction prior to departure was thorough enough for a beginner, but not boring for an intermediate kayaker. Although we did not cover a great distance, I felt like we saw a lot and learn even more! I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking to see the natural side of Charleston and get in a great upper body workout during vacation. We went with friends who live in the area and they loved it! So it’s great for tourist and locals alike! Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, water, and wear comfortable activewear.
It was the most fun we had in Charleston. Both in our party were beginners and we felt like we learned so much over the two hour adventure. Michael was a great guide who made everyone feel at ease and was very encouraging.
More than a welcome sight for sore eyes, the tidal marshes around Charleston are a hotbed for Lowcountry biodiversity. Keep your eyes peeled for sightings of wildlife such as Loggerhead turtles, bottlenose dolphins, and more as you paddle down Folly Creek en route to the tidal creeks that wrap around the Hammock Islands. This leisurely paced kayaking tour is capped at 12 participants for a more personalized experience.
This is the perfect way to get off the main streets of Charleston and see some hidden alleys. Our tour guide Bill, a former history teacher, was great and kept us entertained. Small group, good pace, good length.

Visit the Old Exchange and Provost Dungeon, a colonial building with a 300-year history; Rainbow Row, the longest cluster of Georgian row houses in the United States; plus historic Philadelphia Alley, and many more.
This trip was definitely worth the time and expense. Comfortable boat cruised us for 1.5 hours around the harbor with close-ups of the sites and excellent narration by Capt. Tripp. Wish we had known about the food on-board in advance as we had grabbed something fast onshore prior to boarding and would have preferred to eat a burger or pizza on-board. Did enjoy an adult beverage!
See the Charleston Harbor by boat with a leisurely sightseeing tour along the Cooper River to Fort Sumter National Monument. This fully-narrated tour focuses on Charleston history from Civil War sites to antebellum houses and landmarks, passes under Cooper River bridges, and explores a waterfront that’s home to bottlenose dolphins and pelicans.
This is the second year we took this trip and it is amazing! The staff are friendly. Our tour guide Trip was knowledgeable and helpful. We were on a larger boat that took 18 passengers. Every seat had a great view. You really get to see parts of the Charleston waterways you would miss on foot or by car. It's just the right amount of "science" and easy to understand facts about the area. Our party was three adults and although there were a few kids on the boat - the tour was appropriate for all ages. The best part is being able to wander around on Morris Island. We collected many sand dollars and beautiful shells. We will continue to do this boat trip every time we come visit! Well worth it!
Cruise through Lowcountry tidal creeks and marshes en route to the uninhabited Morris Island on this boat cruise from the Charleston area. A private boat company launches from Bowens Island for the scenic ride through an estuary rich in biodiversity before a soft landing on Morris Island. Spend free time to taking photos of the historic Morris Island Lighthouse, combing for seashells, and looking out for birds, sea turtles, and dolphins before your return.
What a great way to see Charleston and learn about the history. Would recommend, and will probably do this again next time we visit. Our guide was a local, born and raised, had some interesting insights and was really funny.

Evans Byrd was our guide and was awesome! We learned so much and now have ideas for our next trip as in visiting the Calhoun House and the other two historic houses he pointed out - and plan to go out to Ft Sumter. It was one of the better walking tours we have been on!

Haunted Evening Horse and Carriage Tour of Charleston
A nice evening
, Dec 2019
Haunted Carriage Ride.
I enjoyed learning about the horses and the guides were very nice, but the stories weren’t scary and it was hard to hear the guide during.
They assign your seats, but try for the front- a better view and you can hear more.
All of the staff was friendly and the ride was nice, but it wasn't scary, the stories didn't correspond to anything particular along our route and I thought it lacked any tour type of info. I was hoping to get a little more history in the tour and also some scary stories that happened at the places we were passing.

Absolutely loved this ghost tour! Mike was amazing and his knowledge and research behind each story was incredible. The photos and personal anecdotes that he shared at each location made the experience even better since he has lived in Charleston for many years. We were in town for a bachelorette party and all the girls really enjoyed this tour, highly recommend for a fun and interesting nighttime activity!

We wanted to make plans in Charleston to do things we had not done before. This tour is so good. Our guide Susan was very fun and interactive. She made us feel very comfortable with others. We enjoyed great food and were so full by the end of the tour. I would highly recommend this tour.

I was recently in Charleston for 5 nights and this ghost tour was my absolute favorite thing I did! I had such a great time! The guide was so funny and knowledgeable. I particularly liked that we went into the oldest graveyard in Charleston, while other groups didn't, they just stayed at the gates. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone! A++

Ghosts and Haunting really isn't my thing. That being said our tour guide was very knowledgeable and a good sport. I particular liked the history behind all the stories.
It was a great time even for a non-ghost hunter.

Great tour and great meal prepared by a very talented chef
, Feb 2020
This tour by Chef Forrest was wonderful. Chef Forrest is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Savannah. He is just a very bright fellow and is also a talented chef. It was an interesting story to hear how he has shifted gears to get out of the long hour and pressures of being a restaurant chef to found his own company to improve the quality of his life. The meal Chef Forrest prepared for us was the best that we had on our trip to Charleston, Hilton Head, and Savannah.
Please, don't make the same mistakes I made so that you can have a fantastic experience. First, allow LOTS of extra time. Our tour started 10-15 minutes late (Chef Forrest was kindly buying umbrellas for the group as we had a light rain that morning). Then, with good discussion throughout, at 30 minutes past the scheduled end time, he was just serving the second course. It broke my heart to have to leave mid-meal, although Chef couldn't have been nicer about it. The other mistake I made was to go on the "Best of Charleston - History, Culture, and Architecture" tour prior to this one. There was enough overlap between the two that I regretted that choice. Chef Forrest goes into quite a bit of those areas along with talk of cuisine. But, it was all wonderful and I highly recommend!
This walking tour and interactive lunch combo provides a two-in-one experience in Charleston. With a celebrated local chef, Forrest Parker, you'll start with a 1.5-hour historical walking tour about the influences of Lowcountry food in the city of Charleston. I highly recommend a sightseeing tour with Pineapple Tours, especially if it’s your first visit to Charleston. We were able to see all the highlights of Charleston in a comfortable van and get a “lay of the land”. Our tour guide, Benjamin, was born and raised in Charleston. He was not only compassionate about the city, but extremely knowledgeable about its history and points of interest.

I really enjoyed our tour guide Gordon - he was very knowledgeable about Charleston history and we tried a lot of good food. My only feedback would be to change the first location. We went to Another Broken Egg Cafe - which had very good grits and fried green tomatoes - BUT there’s a location in Dallas. Seemed a little funny to be seeing the sights of Charleston at a spot I could go in my home city. Another guest on the tour said there’s also one in New York as well. That’s my feedback but overall nice tour
