Really enjoyed this tour & highly recommend. It wasn’t rushed at all we could take our time in places. The 2 hour hike was my favourite. Lots of scenic views and waterfalls, it was nice we got to go swimming as well. The 2 pagodas were nice to see as well and we had some time to explore the area. I would recommend wearing hiking boots, just because the terrain is very rough and uneven. There were a few that had flip flops and I don’t know how they survived. Tea was our guide and he was great. Not one of those tour guides that talks the entire time while you want to explore.
Very nice tour with enough time to visit the highlights of Doi Inthanon National Park, including a very nice trekking in a recent available trekking course.
Tee was our guide and he was amazing, explaining and interacting with the people always with a smile.
We think it is value for money! We recommend this tour to everyone that wants to check Doi Inthanon in one day.
During the tracking, we have met other tours and they were in much more hurry than ours, so make yourself a favor and book this one! :)
This tour will introduce you to one of Thailand’s most famous attractions and a must-visit place in Chiang Mai That's Doi Inthanon National Park (Thailand’s highest mountain of over 2,565 meters above sea level). This national park is so famous for its natural beauty and is home to stunning landscapes, best sights and great activities such as trekking and birds-watching. If you are a nature and adventure lover, then this is the perfect program for you.
Enjoy the outstanding view at the summit and walking in the Pha Dok Siaw nature trail to see many kinds of birds, historical sightseeing and flowers admiring. Walk for 2 hours through the jungle following a narrow mountain trail which leads us to stunning hidden waterfall where you can swim in the middle of lush jungle. Along the way before reaching the karen hill tribe village, we will pass through the farmland where you will see the coffee plantation , beautiful rice terraces. (the possibility to see is July - the middle of November).
Sunrise is a fantastic time to go to Doi Sudep: no crowds, see the sun rise, view the temple in the dark and after sunrise, see monks chanting and an Alms giving-ceremony. The hidden temple is also great - so peaceful. We had a very small group (myself as solo traveller and two other people) so it felt like a private tour. Mon is an excellent guide - punctual, friendly, very knowledgeable (and a great photographer!).
I highly recommend this tour.
John, our leader, was personable and professional and shared his wealth of knowledge with ease. We did the early morning tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is certainly worth the effort for those who like to sleep in... The hidden temple was magical, so much so, we returned on our own a few days later and spent a couple of hours there. We even met up with John, who was doing another tour. We highly recommend this tour.
Beat the crowds and see a spectacular sunrise from one of Chiang Mai’s highest points during an early-morning tour to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. This unique tour offers you the chance to experience an alms-giving ceremony in the early morning and explore the famous temple without daytime crowds. Plus, a former-monk guide provides insight into Thai culture and the Buddhist religion.

Chiang Rai Day Trip Small-Group from Chiang Mai City with Golden Triangle
Spectacular Trip But Long Day
, Feb 2020
It is a very long day but well worth it! Our guide Tiu and the driver were both excellent. The White Temple is stunning. The ancient temple and Golden Triangle area were also incredible. The lunch provided and many other little details were appreciated.
Our guide, M, was amazing! The van ride was long but it was a comfortable van, plenty of stops, and M was great at talking to pass the time. Lunch was very nice. We did not stop at a Laos village (never entered Laos which was disappointing).
Fantastic tour. The guide (Kai) was amazing , he did not explain everything regarding the visit but also showed his knowledge about the history and culture in this part of Thailand . He looked after everything . If you don’t have many time to visit Chiang Rai on your own this tour definitely covers the most interesting points in that area. The driver was very good as well. Just be aware you will spend 12 hours which is absolutely normal taking into account all stops , boat to Golden triangle , Opium museum , temples , etc . Very happy with our choice.
Take a day trip to Chiang Rai and see the modern architectural marvel of Wat Rong Khun (White Temple). Explore the ancient royal city of Chiang Saen, take a long-tail boat ride on the Khong River, and explore the Golden Triangle. Your full-day itinerary includes a restaurant lunch plus round-trip hotel transport from Chiang Mai. Numbers are limited to a maximum of nine people to ensure a small-group experience with your professional guide.
This trip was amazing. We had such a good time playing with the elephants, then we went for trekking and in the end we arrived at the temples. The trip was very good organized, the lunch was tasty, we loved it.
Going to the elephant sanctuary was a wonderful experience. I lived seeing the elephants in their natural habitat. Adam, our tour guide, clearly loves what he does. He spoke at great length about these sanctuaries. The 2 hour hike through the national park was amazing. Only recommendation, cut out the other 2 stops. There was a lot of driving, which made it s very long day. Kudos to our driver. He was really goid.
3 Best Experiences at an Amazing Price!
1. Meet adorable elephants at Meaklang Elephant Sky Camp, an Ethical Elephant Sanctuary which has 5-star rating on TripAdvisor.
The elephants are taken care very well. You will closely observe the adorable creatures.
2. Visit Doi Inthanon, go to the highest point of Thailand, see beautiful King and Queen pagodas.
3. Finish the tour with Kew Mae Pan nature trail. A.k.a. Heaven trail due to its stunning beauty. **During June - October, Kew Mae Pan is closed to visitors. We will trek at Pha Dok Siew instead.**
The trip is really a great experience. We can feed, walk, bath and swim with the elephants. They are so friendly and beautiful. One female elephant is pregnant and is so big. The two young elephants Dumbo and Dido are so playful and cute. They always want us to stay close to them. The tour guide is very helpful and experienced. His family members are really friendly. This is an amazing experience. We don't want to ride elephants, so we love this tour.
Get up close and personal with the world’s largest land mammal on a visit to the family-owned Elephant Pride Sanctuary. The elephants here once worked on logging crews to cut down the protected forest, but today they live at leisure. This small-group adventure, limited to just nine travelers, includes a Thai lunch, water, skip-the-line access to the sanctuary, and round-trip transfers from Chiang Mai hotels.
Our guide, Boom, was amazing! He made the whole experience worth while. Would highly recommend anyone who takes this trip to try and get Boom as your guide. He clearly loves street food and has the perfect job to fit his love. He made extra effort to find other great options/modification for my wife who did not eat me, and it made the whole experience even better! It’s great because it’s small so you get to really know the guide and the other people on your tour. 100% recommend to anyone who has time in Chiang Mai!
We booked this for the first night in Chiang Mai, and it set the precedent for the rest of our stay there. We were shown around to a lot of great food stalls by an amazing tour guide. Also met some great people along the way! We would definately recommend this to anyone visiting Chiang Mai!
Explore Chiang Mai’s colorful night markets with a local on an evening food tour of the city on foot and by songthaew. Bring an appetite for this small-group Chaing Mai food tour, which includes samples of eight market foods, with pickup and drop-off at your Chiang Mai hotel.
This was a great experience. We enjoyed touring the market, learning to cook so many dishes, and eating all of our delicious food. It is a LONG day and could probably have been a little shorter, but lots of fun.
Our guide, JJ, was knowledgeable and his instructions were clear when teaching us how to prepare/cook the dishes.
The kitchens was well equipped and clean, and the ingredients were all prepared beforehand.
It was amazing how simple it was to cook/prepare the dishes, ad so many dishes could be prepared within that short time.
I would recommend doing the morning tour as it includes a short trip to the market, where JJ explained the different ingredients used in Thai cooking and tasted some of the produce as well.
This was an absolutely amazing class!!! The instructor is great! She is hilarious and really pushes you to try new things! She definitely is a major part of why this class was so great!! The dishes you make are excellent and you get a cook book with all the recipes to take home! She also is very helpful with giving alternatives you may use if you are not able to find certain ingredients in your home country. Overall an absolutely fabulous experience, I would recommend to anyone who has the time in Chiang Mai!!

The tour picked us up at our hotel, as planned, in a nice van and we went with about 6 travelers to the temples. The guide did a great job of explaining the history of each temple, while also giving us time to wander and take photos on our own and enjoy each space. I really enjoyed our tour guide and highly recommend this tour! It was great to have someone to share the history about each location, so taking the tour added a lot of value to our experience of touring the temples.
See the leading sites and soak in history while you are at it!

This half day tour is a fabulous introduction to the major Wats and sights of Chaing Mai. We were in a small group and on a timetable - but this let us know where we'd like to go and spend more time when we go back one day (we must!). Our guide kept us on schedule yet gave us all the freedom to explore when on site, making sure we were well cared for. The magnificent Doi Suthep is the crowning experience of the day - we had been told "If you haven't been there, you haven't been to Chaing Mai" - and it is a very busy spot, so we really appreciated having a driver to drop us off and a guide to help us get through the crowds to the right places! Because this is only a half day, I think it makes a great option for families and for people who want some alone time to explore in the afternoons and evenings.
This half-day Chiang Mai temple tour explores the most famous and picturesque of the city’s 36 Buddhist Wats, the perfect introduction to Northern Thailand’s cultural and religious capital. Experience Chiang Mai’s most visually stunning Buddhist temples, including the gorgeous 600-year-old Wat Phrathat Doi Sutep atop the 5,300-foot (1,615 meter) Doi Suthep Peak, plus plenty of great photo-ops. The tour includes the services of a guide, entrance fees, air-conditioned transport and hotel pick-up and drop-off from central Chiang Mai.
Visiting a one of the numerous Karen Long Neck villages in Thailand is one of the most exotic experiences on the planet. The mystery and beauty that sound the tradition of using brass rings for exaggerated jewelry is something better seen in person than in a book. We had ethical questions on if it these hill tribe villages would feel like human zoos, but thankfully we decided to visit anyway. It is a real life National Geographic Magazine to have to see to believe.
Explore the Golden Triangle of Chiang Rai on a full-day, private trip that includes a Mekong River cruise, Mae Khajan hot springs, and hill tribe community visits. Traveling with a private driver-guide is a convenient, comfortable way to reach the remote Golden Triangle area from Chiang Mai, visiting temples, markets, and villages as you go travel all the way to the borders of Laos and Myanmar.

Excellent private tour to Chiang Rai
, Feb 2020
Our private drive from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai took about three hours. Except for several bumpy and dusty segments under construction, the ride was smooth and easy. The trip started around 7:30am and about an hour later included a quick stop at small but interesting hot mineral springs where we soaked our feet in warm water and took pictures. Our guide and driver Nui spoke good English and was very professional, attentive and informative throughout the day. The car was a clean, comfortable and well air conditioned Toyota sedan. Visits to all four Chiang Rai temples were leisurely and well worth our time. Water and face masks for crowded areas and a tasty lunch around noon were included and appreciated. We were back in the hotel around 7pm. In summary, I wouldn’t hesitate to book this trip again or to recommend it to anybody. Thank you Nui for your great service and a good time.
Good use of time if you have a few days in Chiang Mai
, Jan 2020
The tour was great - at times it may have felt a bit rushed (but honestly, given how packed the temples were, I'm not sure how much more time we could've productively spent there). The temples are gorgeous and our guide Nancy was super knowledgeable about the sights and Thai history. It was a long day, but worth the time & money.

Inthanon Small-Group Day Trip from Chiang Mai with Lunch
, Dec 2019
Everything was amazing. We visited different places (waterfalls, a forest, village, the temples) all accompanied by our friendly guide Arrow who told us a lot of interesting info but also kept the day relaxing. I'd 100% recommend this tour, also the van is very comfy and the driver skilled. Bring good shoes and warm clothing cause up there gets cold (10-15C)!
Our extremely energetic guide Mr. Ekk made this one of the best tours I have ever been on! He has troves of information and anecdotes about every spot you visit, which he narrates in his signature style. Our visit would have remained incomplete without the insights he offered. Highly recommended.

White water rafting at Maetang river north of Chiang Mai
It was a blast!
, Nov 2019
Everything was well organised. The drivers, guides, our "captain" and the rest of the "crew" were all very friendly and professional. The river cruise began slowly but got really wild at 4 - 5 spots. That is what I call rafting!!!

Only downside is the time it takes to get you there and back. Over 3 hours each way. The white temple is magnificent. The luncheon venue well chosen as plenty of good for all tastes and clean loos always a +. The golden triangle was interesting and a nice bost ride to finish off the day.
Very long day, 14 hours with about 7 of them driving, but we’ll worth it. The trip includes enough stops and activities that make the time go by fast. Great mixture of temples along with other activities such as the boat ride and long neck village visit.
Our tour guide (Moo Moo) was very knowledgeable and great fun. There is a lot of driving between sites but it's a great way to see rural Thailand. The best bit was the Golden Triangle: a boat ride on the Mekong followed by an hour or so in Laos. In all about 14 hours, longer than advertised, but no complaints here.

6-Hour Hike and Bike in Doi Suthep Pui National Park Combo from Chiang Mai
All About Physical Activity
, Sep 2019
Our guide and driver arrived on time, which I am always thankful for. This tour was a challenge physically. The uphill portion of the hike was a challenge, but didn't last long, downhill was a breeze. I could tell the view at the top of Chiang Mai would be beautiful, but for us, it was cloudy, so couldn't see much. I know that's out of the tour guide's control so certainly not part of my rating. The food stop in the small village was quaint, but no one explained anything about the village. That would have added some culture to the trip. Having read several reviews before booking, I was pretty sure the bike ride down the mountain would be interesting, and it certainly was! The road is a mixture of dirt, rocks, and broken concrete. If you have experience off road biking, like one of the others on the tour, you might consider it easy. For me it was a challenge. I took my time, and made it down safely with a few scrapes. I consider my physical ability to be average. My husband, very physically fit, ran the LA marathon last year fit, also took his time riding down and he found it to be a challenge - no off road biking experience either. I will say we felt really good to finish! We weren't hungry at the last food stop so opted for beverages and a rest instead. Was sore the next day and a nice Thai Massage did the trick to loosen us up! What could make the tour better would be to incorporate a bit more culture, or maybe a few stops along the road at viewpoints on the drive up to explain what is in the park. As is, this tour is all about being physical.
This incredible tour combines the best of outdoor activities with a hike and mountain bike descent in Doi Suthep National Park. Trek to the top of the summit near a Hmong village, then cruise at high speeds towards Lake Huay Tueng Thao on your bike. This tour from Chiang Mai is ideal for fit adrenaline junkies and nature lovers alike. It includes round-trip hotel transfers, water, two meals, equipment, and an expert guide.
