The Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Spain’s most visited monuments, but there’s so much to see inside, it’s hard to know where to start. This guided tour takes in all the highlights, including the Maqsura, the Mihrab, and Mayor Chapel.
Discover Andalusia and the Jewish Quarter of Cordoba, Spain, on this guided city tour. Visit important monuments and local points of interest like Cardinal Salazar Square, the Mosque of Cordoba, the Chapel of San Bartolome, Cordoba Synagogue, and more.
The official Cordoba tours is actually 3 tours linked together: 1. Visit to Alcazar, 2. Visit to the Jewish quarter, 3. Mezquita. We took the whole tour, but were accompanied by different participants. Same guide though. Very knowledgeable and very professional. There were little 5 minutes stops between the 3, so guestes could depart or come into the group. I found it a very compact tour to find out the most important aspect of the main Cordoba monuments. We would have missed so much if we would have gone only on our own. Highly recommended!
We visited the Alcazar, Mosque/Cathedral, and Jewish Quarter/Synagogue on this tour of Cordoba. Our tour was split up between a morning and afternoon tour, but it worked out very well. Both our tour guides were excellent, especially the young lady in the afternoon. Highly recommend this tour. The only disappointment was the Jewish Synagogue in Cordoba is only a small one room medieval building. We were envisioning a huge beautiful, still in use, synagogue. But the rest of the Jewish Quarter was very interesting and worth seeing.
See the most important monuments of Córdoba with a guide who shares commentary about the city. Visit landmarks such as the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos, the historic Synagogue, and the Mosque-Cathedral (Mezquita), and hear about the influences of Christian, Muslim, and Jewish cultures on the the architecture and history of Cordoba. Your tour includes entrance tickets to the monuments, and headphones to hear your guide.
We loved our guide for the Mezquita. She was in tune with the interests and perspectives of our group, and we felt like friends by the end! There's no replacement for the personal touch of someone with a genuine love for the history of the place.
All may know beforehand the beauty of this great Mosque Cathedral but still be in awe when you witness with your own eyes. The only bit you may forget is a good guide to bring to life it's history and we would thoroughly recommend Raul who was locally born and a great communicator in English.
Our guide was ok, but it was impossible to understand his comments and presentation. With 50 people in our tour, we often could not see him. He continually referenced a very small 5-8” foldout of the mosque, which we could not always see. He did not have a flag or anything to allow us to follow him easily. This tour would have been ok with 25 or fewer folks, but was disappointing with 50. Why Viatour allowed so many to signup is a mystery.

The tour was perfectly organised by Viator starting right on time. Our guide, Cristina, did a marvellous job, taking us around the Judería and into the synagogue ending up in the mosque-cathedral. Than you again Cristina and Viator. We got really value for our money.

José is the guy. Knowledgeable and attentive, and provided the best balance between the expected tourist attraction and local culture, and the unexpected dive into history, heritage, and exclusive non-touristy gems. He catered the tour to the group's interests and treated us all like we were his friends and family. Highly highly recommend--you will not be disappointed! Pro tip: never call jamón, bacon :P Gracias José!!!
Best three hours! Jose is an amazing host and guide. He does a fabulous job explaining Córdoba so you are prepared for the rest of your stay here. He is also extremely helpful with recommendations and questions you might have about his city. I highly recommend!
I enjoyed the Terrace and Tapas tour but felt the description was misleading. In the what's included section, it listed what was to be included in terms of tapas, but then had a bullet that said "dinner". There was no dinner. We went to three locations - the first two were spectacular and the third a typical restaurant along the river. Our guide was engaging and knowledgeable, but I didn't think the limited wine and tapas made the tour worth the price.

The tour was actually a combination of a number of tours.. The first part was the Mesquita cathedral. Our female guide was excellent and the headsets worked really well. We had a good amount of time in this magnificent place and the guide answered questions and gave additional information.
We then had a male guide for the second and third parts of the tour. There were no headsets and he had a very quiet voice. It was a 35 degree day and the tour had no break in it just people leaving and joining. I would recommend doing the components separately to get the most out of this fascinating city.

We loved this short tour with "James" he was knowledgeable and entertaining. The tour provided a good look at the town and allowed us to orientate ourselves. Ending with a drink on the terrace opposite the Mezquita was lovely. It was centrally located and also allowed the group to stay and chat after the tour ended.

Alcázar Reyes Cristianos: Official Tour with Tickets
Great tour of Alcazar and Mosque
, Sep 2019
We came by train from Seville to Cordoba and just got to the meeting point with about 30 seconds to spare. Our guide for Alcazar ended up also doing the afternoon Mosque and Jewish Quarter tour, so we stuck together for about 3 hours. English was good, with plenty of information, but not too much. Our only issue was we had to drop out a little early because of a train to Madrid. I would definitely recommend both these tours.
It's totally worth the visit, but I suggest to pay the ticket there, is only 5 euros per person. I paid this tour, got a bit late because I had some trouble finding the entrance and just lost +30€, so I didn't did the tour and had to pay again for the tickets. 5€ per person is very inexpensive for the beauties of this place. Totally recommend.

Meritxell was an excellent guide. She was well knowledged in the history of the Patios in Córdoba and was able to explain with passion their function in family life. It was a pleasure to visit San Basilio with her. I strongly recommend this tour for those desiring to understand the real meaning of a Córdoba Patio

Mosque of Cordoba, Jewish Quarter, and Synagogue Day-Trip from Seville
Tour could have better content
, Oct 2019
The tour guide Christina was excellent, but we are not very happy with the content of the tour.
We spent more time in Alcazar, which is much less interesting than in Sevilla, than in Mosque, which is the main Cordoba attraction.
Cordoba and sights were spectacular though more time should have been spent in Mosque Cathedral as opposed to Jewish Quarter and Synagogue as they were small.
Misleading because we were expecting it to be a small group tour as they advertise that we would be travelling in a minivan. However while not a large tour bus, it was definitely larger than a minivan. When we got to Cordoba with our group of 20 or so, the group just kept getting larger as more English speaking people were added to our group at every stop. So in the end we probably had over 50 people with one guide.
Additionally the hotel pickup has it's pros and cons. Given that we were the first hotel to be picked up we were on the bus for over 1 hour before we even made it out of Seville, just picking up people at other hotels.
Get an introduction to the cultural highlights of Cordoba on a sightseeing tour, round-trip from Seville by minivan.
