Day trip to the Alhambra from Malaga and Costa del Sol
, Feb 2020
A really great experience. Enrique, our guide, grew up right next to the Alhambra and knew every last little thing. He was very pleasant, as well. Our driver Miguel was also a great guy. I'm very happy I went with them!
It was an unic experience. I've booked a guided tour, but got a private tour actually. It couldn't get better for me and my daughter, the only guest for this date. We were transferred to Alhambra in a luxurious car, enjoyed the private guidance in Alhambra (soo gorgeous) and the walk in beautiful Granada: perfect timing and treatment in every aspect. Special thanks to our driver who needed to solve a severe technical incident, unexpectedly. He did it calm and professionally, chapeau! I recommend. Worth visiting even outside high seasons.
Great, full day. Early morning pick ups and then the drive to Granada. No guide for the drive, but a very nice driver. Once at the Alhambra, we met our guide and went on a comprehensive tour that enabled us to skip the long lines. Then on to Granada city center where we had two hours to shop, eat, etc... and then back. My pick up was at 8:15 a.m. and drop off was at 7:00 p.m. so be prepared for a long, satisfying day.
Enjoy a hassle-free visit to Granada with a package that includes round-trip transfer service from Malaga or Costa del Sol and skip-the-line tickets to Alhambra Palace. Travel in comfort in a well-equipped minibus, and sail past the ticket queues as you visit the Alhambra Palace. The itinerary has free time to explore on your own, and includes a guided tour of the Alhambra—a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Great trip, really enjoyed it. The guide was very knowledgeable, was able to converse with people in Spanish, English and German. He told us great stories about the places we visited. I would have liked to have a little more time in Gibraltar, but overall it was brilliant!
Many, many yrs ago, I saw a NatGeo show or something similar about the RoG and the monkeys living there and the tourists. Always desired to go some day. Well- it came true with this unexpected trip to the south of Spain. I loved this, my friend and I used the beginning of our free time to hike up to the Moorish Castle on the Rock. Got our first glimpse of the African Cont from there. We went up by way of the Castle stairs, it's quite a walk (stair climb), I had my walking trek pole along. Beautiful views along the way. Just amazing to see how the residents live along the steep climb on the way. On our way back down, we found a wonderful little store "Abuelas" along the steep path. She made all her own food. We had a great lunch for about 4 Euros ea. After we met our group again, we did the mini-bus ride, they take you up to St Michaels caves (very nice). At that height, the monkeys appear all over the place. They are so cute- but are still wild animals. Be careful about flashing food stuff. And hold belongings tight. We even heard about being careful of a phone sticking out of a back pocket. Use your common sense. This was a great day- I'm praising GOD for great travels and wonderful adventures.
The trip went very smoothly. We had a tour guide on the island itself who was incredible. He was just fun to be around. I love the monkeys on the island. And I like that we had time to explore ourselves around the city
Enjoy the sights and shopping of Gibraltar on this full-day trip from the Costa del Sol. Travel to the famous British territory by air-conditioned coach, and discover its main attractions, including the legendary Rock of Gibraltar, on a sightseeing tour. Head inside St Michael’s Cave, meet the cheeky Barbary monkeys and visit Europa Point, where a lighthouse marks the gateway of the Atlantic and Mediterranean. Plus, get free time to enjoy Gibraltar’s British atmosphere and high-street stores, fashion chains and duty-free outlets — all perfect for a dose of great-value shopping.
Trip was great for what it is. If you want to visit Morocco for a day and not have to worry about planning anything, this is your trip. Yes, there are the prearranged shopping stops where you will be pressured into buying things you may not want, but that’s part of the fun. Lunch was spectacular, and overall we had a good time and all the planning and transportation was taken care of.
This tour was great, it was an early start and a late finish. we were picked up at 7 am and there was a lot of stops on the way picking up from other areas, we did not get home till 10.30 so it was very very long and we were exhausted.. but if you can put up with the bus journey then this was well worth the visit. Tangiers poured rain all day but it did not stop us having a fab day. the shopping experience was something else. and the lunch was very good the food was delicious and wine too. it was an experience i would not have missed and so glad we did it even though it was a very long day. excellent value for money i would recommend it to all.
This whole trip was not even planned- but when I knew I was going to Southern Spain, close to the Strait of Gibraltar- this became a MUST do. Value was good after we realized the RT cost of the ferry was 70 Euros. For some reason, our pu time got pushed back to 7:30- maybe it was the time of the year- Not so crowded (kind of nice). We had a small crowd on the bus, nothing overwhelming- I think 13 of us. Got to the port in decent time- but then waited for a while to board(don't know?). Trip across the strait was good- not an overly crowded boat. LISTEN To instructions... your guide probably has an accent (not Amer.)- hard to understand. I WOULD recommend that VIATOR print out instructions and hand them out to its customer visitors. You can get easily mixed up on what to do. DO NOT stray from your group/guide. Don't get side-tracked w/ local peddlers trying to sell you stuff. ALSO- we began to believe that Viator must have some agreement with the Rug guy and the Oil guy. I bought a little pair of leather slipper shoes from the rug guy- later saw the same ones on the street at a lower Euro price than I bargained for. Also, the Oil guy told our group that the ounce size would go through the airport security. There is NO quantity marking on the bottle package. The Malaga airport security took my small bottle for these reasons. HOWEVER- depends who you get, my girlfriend was able to get thru with hers. SO, be careful about purchasing from the Oil guy. Overall, I liked the trip, even though it was a very long day. Most is traveling to and from, but I knew that and it didn't discourage me. I was thrilled to step onto the African continent. The tour of the city by bus was informative- seeing different culture sections. The camel rides have a lot to be desired- but was cheap, only 2 Euros (very small camels). I didn't bother. The lunch restaurant was great, Loved the Moroccan Mint Tea at the end of the meal. I was glad I did this, it was a great experience- would probably not do it again. If you are in the southern Spain region, i would say to go if you have some time. I would NOT take small kids on this tour- too easy to lose people. You really have to pay attention & be aware of your safety and surroundings. Use your head- overall, it was great.

The coach ride was comfortable and we enjoyed looking around Setenil and Ronda. Unfortunately the guide assigned to us well and truly took the shine off the experience for us. His demeanor was churlish and at times he was rude. When asked a question he answered it grudgingly. The tour was conducted in several languages and I happen to speak 3 of them and I understand a fair bit of a fourth. It really troubled me to hear this man's very mangled German. I am a native speaker and if I had had to rely on the guide's commentary I would have understood very little. Pronunciation was so awful, I only knew what he meant because I understood his other renditions. The grammar was all over the place. I also noticed (and I probably didn't need to actually understand the content of what he was saying) that he did not translate equally....by that I mean he only translated some things in some languages. It was quite obvious that some translations were much shorter than others. I also found on several occasions that the translations did not match. A particular building had a certain number of rooms in one language and an altogether different number in another language. Dates were not always the same. (etc etc). When everyone wanted to take photos of a particular sight, the guide would often stand at the best vantage point, with his back to the sight, preventing us, the guests, from seeing and being able to take photos. Outside of the coach, he did not use any device to enable everyone (it was a large group) to hear, unless we managed to stay in very close proximity. Towards the end we really just wanted to get it over with.

Full-Day Tour of Caminito del Rey from Costa del Sol
Top Notch Tour
, Nov 2019
This was a Top Notch Experience- my friends and I loved it. If you are afraid of heights- it's not for you. Beautiful views, beautiful countryside ride to the location as well too. You are not allowed to take a walking stick or trekking pole on the walk (i checked ahead). Take snacks and water along. Some of the path is on uneven slightly rough terrain. Nothing extreme. Wear GOOD proper shoes for this adventure. Really worth while. The "tasting" thing afterword at the restaurant was not much of anything......you can buy lunch if you want. I always have snacks/food stuff with me. I highly recommend. Book early- it's very popular (i'm sure especially in summer).

thrilling off-road driving experience at Sierra Blanca
, Aug 2019
This was definitely a different experience to be had, driving through rugged off-road rocky roads of Sierra Blanca with a birds eye view of Marbella and the coastline. Definitely unique and something different other than watersports. Highly recommend it but definitely not for the faint of heart or bad drivers. Really fun.
Enjoy an unparalleled experience, the drivers will travel for 1 hour to the different natural landscapes that surround Marbella - Istan, and its emblematic mountain "La Concha" that can be seen from all points of the city. We did this tour 2 nights ago and we loved it. Manuel was prompt, courteous, intelligent and very friendly.Great sense of humour as well. I would highly recommend this tour , the history lessons and the recommended travel tips worth every penny!Michele,Steven and Miss Darby
I could not fault one bit of this tour. Manuel was fantastic, so enthusiastic and informative. His knowledge of food, wine and the history of the area was second to none. Really enjoyed this tour an dloved loved loved the food choices 5 out of 5.
My husband and I booked this as part of our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. Manuel was so knowledgable about the area, and the history. The food and wine pairings were spectacular, and Manuel picked out spots we never would have thought to go on our own. We had a lot of fun and felt like we learned a lot, and had some great food!

Although the driver/guide was excellent the stop in Rhonda did not include a tour ( just a 2 hour layover). The first small vineyard was excellent with explanations and tastings hosted by the owner. The second stop at a larger vineyard included a very good lunch but no vineyard personnel present. The wine produced at the second vineyard was also mediocre at best ( as evidenced by it's low price).
This is perfect for someone who's looking for winery tours which doesn't mean Sherry in Andalusia with some free time to roam around the town of Ronda prior. We visited 2 small private wineries producing still dry white, red and rose (rosato) wines with a wonderful local produce spread for lunch as part of the tasting. Ronda isn't a well-known appellation and production remains small but we discovered some pretty impressive wines. Definitely off the beaten track experience for wine lovers. Highly recommend.
Our Ronda Wine Tour visits up to two contrasting boutique wineries for wine tasting with a vineyard lunch, as well as Ronda sightseeing.
Winemakers in Ronda strive towards minimal intervention winemaking methods and low, or even no added sulphites, and he microclimate of Ronda is very favourable towards dry, red wine. You will taste both young and vintage monovarietal and red blends from a much wider variety of grapes than usually found in other regions across Spain such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Garnacha and even Petit Verdot.
White wine and rosé aficionados can also be accommodated, as these styles are also produced in small quantities (and especially welcome when enjoyed chilled during the heat of summer).
Love this zoo,. Quite a few changes since we were last hear. Lemurs played hard to get but we had a lovely visit. Great they now use paper straws but a lot of other places they can cut back on single use plastic. Still one of my favourite places to visit.
The Bioparc was a good spur of the moment choice that ended up well worth it! The enclosures where well thought-out meaning some great close up views of the many different Animals! We ended up buying our tickets online 10 minutes before arriving at the gate and the location is a handy 10 minute walk from the local Train Station in Fuengirola.
Experience 'zoo-immersion' with this admission ticket to Bioparc Fuengirola. Walk through the unique park, where the animals live side by side in recreations of their natural habitats. Learn about the park's philosophies, based on respect for nature and the preservation of threatened or endangered species. See rare animals, like the Sumatran tiger and the Roloway monkey. Hear from staff and zookeepers about the park's extensive programs that are dedicated to conservation and their successful breeding efforts of endangered species.

Our driver/guide, Peter, was knowledgeable and made our drive to the winery and Ronda comfortable and entertaining. The winery portion was interesting with a tour then tastings of one white and two reds accompanied by tapas. Next was a short drive to Ronda.
