The very first park to feature Six Flags' famously scary roller coaster rides, this attraction opened in 1961. The amusement park is all about rides, from the toddler-friendly Texas Tea Cups and soaring splashdowns to the Superman Tower of Power, Dive Bomber Alley and the 25-story, stomach-churning roller coaster known as Titan.
There’s entertainment too, including music competitions, parades, concerts, karaoke and revues. Onsite pit stops for lunch and drinks offer Tex-Mex, burgers, pizzas and giant hot dogs.
Six Flags Over Texas is in Arlington, 15 miles (24 kilometers) west of Dallas. It’s at the intersection of the Interstate 30 and Highway 360, between Dallas and Fort Worth.
