With over 30 museums, there’s a museum for anything and everyone in Dublin, with some of Europe’s best history, art and literature exhibitions, as well as some more unusual offerings (yes, there’s even a Leprechaun museum). You could spend weeks exploring the city’s museums, but for those with limited time, here are 5 of the best to get you started.

1. National Museum of Ireland
Those with an interest in Irish art, history and culture will find plenty to catch their eye in the National Museum of Ireland, where exhibitions include the War of Independence, the Vikings and Irish folk music. Most impressive is the glittering collection of Ireland gold, dating back to the Bronze Age and including a jaw dropping collections of jewels and a priceless Broighter gold boat.
