Wicklow Day Trip with Horse Riding Including Glendalough Tour from Dublin
Great Day Out
, Jan 2020
An excellent adventure. The horseback riding was fantastic. They took such good care to make sure that we were well matched with an appropriate level of horse and comfortable with riding (for those of us who were novices).
The Wicklow Mountains and area are beautiful and well worth spending time. Loved Glendalough too.
Our driver Matt was great, ensuring an on time schedule and a safe drive.
The horseback riding was wonderful. We are not experienced riders and they made sure we were comfortable before starting as well as during the ride. The ride itself was fun. I might suggest bringing a change of clothes. The weather can change quickly and the ride is at the beginning of the tour. Don't let rain deter you. It's still a very worthwhile experience. The drive afterward was beautiful and the guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Take a leisurely hike through the park. After the hike, indulge in a hearty Irish lunch in a Victorian village and then spend time in Glendalough, taking in the medieval ambiance of the place.
The sites were amazing and the information was great, maybe what made this trip even better was the tour guides, Anthony and Danny were the best! Very professional, great stories and information, they made an otherwise long travel day seem not so long, loved it. Thanks guys!

Booked this tour as we were limited in time (flight home early evening). This tour started and ended within a perfect timeframe whilst gaining a very rich history of Dublin and Howth thanks to John's clear enthusiasm and knowledge
I had a fabulous time walking in the forest and along the cliffs.Stephen was a great guide and host. I would highly recommend for people who want a brisk walk with a multitude of wonderful vistas. Great photo opportunities as well. Lunch was a nice pub stop.
This tour lets you see the beauty of Howth from the hiking trails to the hilltops, and Wally's Irish folk tales and personality keep the tour fun throughout. The hiking trail along the cliffs are breathtaking!
Take the train from Dublin to the Irish countryside in Howth during this tour. See the village’s Martello tower, Howth Castle and its gardens, Great Sugar Loaf mountain, and Baily Lighthouse. Go on a seacliff walk, and keep your eyes peeled for guillemots, eagles, and seals. Go up the hill to Ben of Howth, and catch sight of Black Linn before making your way to the poet, W.B. Yeats’ boyhood home.
A fantastic day spent outside in the country learning about Ireland's fascinating history.
Our driver/guide David was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful got us everywhere on time safely.
Marty, who led us around the Hill of Uisneach was a force! Very engaging, enthusiastic and passionate. Perfect person for sharing his knowledge and love for this area.
Fore, Loughcrew Cairns, Trim Castle and Tara were all wonderful sites.
We were extremely lucky with the weather, beautiful bright sunny day. But still very cold. I strongly recommend many layers, and definitely warm, sturdy walking shoes. Most of the tour is spent walking around fields, and up and down muddy, slippery inclines. Not overly strenuous.
A great adventure.
I really enjoyed the Celtic tour and we were so lucky with the weather. Rocky and Martin were really nice and it's always a pleasure to find someone with such a pasión for Celtic History. Thank you so much
We had a great tour! Connor was amazing and informative. We ended up having a beautiful day after a long stretch of rain. I had no idea what any of the sites were prior to the tour and I can honestly say I have a genuine interest afterwards. Well worth it.

Wicklow Mountains, Avoca and Glendalough Rail Tour from Dublin
Quaint but Sleepy
, Aug 2019
Let me start by saying I probably picked the wrong tour; that's my fault. I must admit that it was a little boring though. I brought my family with me and we were the youngest on the tour. I think the tour was more targeted and appropriate for mature adults travelling without children. My kids (11, 13) were bored.
The hike in the mountains was fun and the sights along the Dublin bay train ride were picturesque. However, it was a little slow paced for my style. The guide was nice, the coach was comfortable, and everything was well coordinated.

John, best tour guide
, Feb 2020
The tour itself is great! It visits excellent locations and many photo opportunities but what makes a tour go from great to amazing is the tour guide and mine was John he was the best! John is knowledgeable, friendly, funny, entertaining and played us great Irish music!
I had the best experience being on this day tour. I had the pleasure of having John as my tour guide. He was so great! It’s was the best day in my vacation in Ireland. And such a beautiful landscape we got to see. And I loved that John was playing irish music in the bus, while singing along! Everybody needs to go on this amazing trip!
