Our guide Allen took us on a private tour that we set up prior to arrival. There were sites we wanted to see so he deviated from the regular tour. He went out of his way to show us the things and the countryside we were most interested in. He made it a wonderful adventure and we were more than delighted with everything.

With a personal guide and private vehicle, enjoy a customized full-day tour and visit sights such as the Guinness Storehouse, Kilmainham Gaol, or Malahide Castle; jump out to see Trinity College and St Patrick Cathedral; or escape the crowds in Phoenix Park or Howth village.

Fantastic day trip
, Jan 2020
This was the second tour I did with Eammonn and he truly treats you like a VIP, I think he even made the weather cooperate for us to get some spectacular views of the cliffs. He made a long day seem short and took us to great places to eat and a very nice tour of the history of Ireland and his knowledge of the music and history behind it is amazing. Highly recommend him for anyone traveling to Ireland.

Met our guide, Fiona, right at Noon and jumped right in. It was awesome to have such personalized service; three of us and Fiona. Well worth the time and money to get a locals tour of the city while allowing for a couple stops if needed to get a bite, drink, or just escape the rain when the cold set in. Very flexible, professional, and personal. Great time!

Amazing day trip full of beauty and history!
, Nov 2019
James was an incredibly knowledgeable and friendly guide. The views were incredible and we got to make a couple stops along the way in nearby villages which history dates back hundreds of years! Blown away, thank you James!
This private tour is a must do if you are in Dublin. Our guide James was excelent, he arrived on time, and has over 20 years plus experience. We drove in a luxury Mercedes car, and made several nice stops before getting to the Cliffs...including a very nice lunch(fish and chips) at a local restaurant that James recomended just before arriving to the site. James knows very much about Irelands history, we learned a lot from him since he is from Dublin and knows a lot and he answered many questions we made in our trip. The Cliffs are just breathless and we took very nice pictures and had good weather that day. I will really recomend this tour to anyone that visits Dublin
Dublin visitors who want to experience the stunning Cliffs of Moher typically need to rent a car and drive, but that makes it tough to enjoy the sights along the way. On this private tour, you can sit back, relax, and let your driver whisk you from Dublin to the seaside cliffs. Along the way, you can arrange stops to see the sights or sample local cuisine, or just travel directly to save time—it's totally up to you.

Wicklow Mountains, Glendalough and Kilkenny Day Tour from Dublin
A fine day out with great narration
, Jan 2020
Despite the cold winter weather, it was a fine day in Glendalough and Kilkenny. The Collins coach was brand new and very comfortable with space overhead for coats and bags. Our guide gave a nice commentary about buildings we passed on our way out of the city, incorporating a bit of Irish history for context, and continued his interesting narration for most of the drive. At Glendalough, after walking the short path to the lower lake with the guide, you could walk on to the top lake as well — about half of our group did. Others wandered the monastic buildings and graveyard and grabbed a coffee or sweet at the hotel cafe. Because the sites were uncrowded, it was very peaceful and we had plenty of time for everything. Kilkenny was the highlight — I’ve been to many Irish towns but this was my first visit here and it’s a great little city. Really compact without being crowded. I did not tour the castle but many on the trip did. We arrived back in Dublin on time. Overall a really pleasant day and well worth it. Thanks so much.
This was a good trip although I wish I had more time to hike. My only recommendation would be to make this into a full day event instead of Kilkenny Day Tour just do Wicklow Mountains and give atleast 2-3 hrs to hike.
the guide Lia and driver Alec were great
The weather was rainy and foggy ... but still we have enjoyed the Glendalough silence and peace ...
Kilkenny is a nice city because of the castle and the Cathedral St Mary which is amazing ... We had a nice lunch between the medieval walls .... the mountains we did not see because of fog .... If weather would have been different probably it would have been an amazing trip ..... but this is something we can not control ...

Glendalough,Wicklow and Kilkenny Tour including Sheepdog herding demonstration
, Feb 2020
Sean was a very good, friendly and helpful guide!!
Glendalough was extremely beautiful and must go there for a sightseeing!
For me, I certainly would skip the sheepdog trails and enjoy more time with the nature!
There were not too many things to see in Kilkenny if you are a frequent traveller.

Withlocals The 10 Tastings™: Dublin PRIVATE Food Tour

Such good food!
, Jan 2020
We had a fabulous time on our food tour with Ruairí. He took us to some really unique spots that fully showcased both the classic Irish food experience as well as Dublin's emerging foodie culture. I was so pleasantly surprised by the variety! Ruairí is a very kind host with so many personal stories to share along the way!
What a great way to enjoy the City! Ruairi was an excellent host! He made our tour of the food in Dublin something to remember. We went to places I would not have thought of and we found how truly diversified the food scene in Dublin has become. Best fish & chips we had on the whole time in Ireland!
Highly recommend both the tour and Ruairi!. Thank you!
The pros: This is a private tour, which means it's just you and the guide - which is nice if that is what you're looking for. It provides the opportunity to call audibles if you so desire without impacting anyone but yourselves. Our guide was also very nice/friendly, although not a local.
The amount of food/drink wasn't bad, but it wasn't super impressive either. I've definitely left other tours much more full, which could be good or bad depending on your outlook.
The cons: While I believe this tour has an opportunity to be great - it just isn't there yet. Well established tours seem to have relationships with the places they take you, which guarantees tables and food ready to go when you arrive. This hasn't been established (or at least we didn't experience) with this particular tour. We spent arguably too much time waiting for tables, or food to be served, and were generally a bit confused with what was included vs. what was not as a result.
I've also gotten used to more engaging conversations / city history with these types of tours and that lacked a bit more than we would have liked.
Combine sightseeing with food samples as you immerse yourself in the cuisine and culture of Dublin during this fast-paced food tour. Visit places you might otherwise have missed—such as George’s Street Arcade—and sample a mixture of international and local specialties that you perhaps didn’t know existed. Plus, learn about the city along the way, thanks to your local foodie guide.
Take off from Dublin, and travel to Ireland’s County Meath during this private tour of Newgrange and the Hill of Tara, which includes round-trip transport. First, visit the prehistoric monument, Newgrange, before making your way to Boyne Valley. While in the valley, spend time exploring the archaeological complex, the Hill of Tara. End your day with a bite to eat (own expense) in the village of Howth.
The 1916 Rebellion is a crucial moment in Irish History and the event is still very much a part of Dublin today. Step into the past with a local and visit the spots where rebels fought for the freedom of their country. Plus hear about the events that brought Ireland to the point of rebellion.
Start your local experience hearing about the Great Irish Famine. From the memorial to the ships that transported Irish people to America, this sad event is still remembered all over the city. Your local host will explain how the famine drove the Irish people to rebel on Easter Monday 1916.
Swing by Arbour Hill Cemetary and Prison which is the burial site of 14 of the leaders of the rebellion. Then finish your historical experience in front of Kilmainham Gaol. Now a museum, this impressive building is a former prison and the spot where the rebels were imprisoned and executed.

Fabulous time in Dublin
, Jan 2020
Eamonn was absolutely amazing! The car was very comfortable and he wore a headset which made it great to hear what he was saying as he drove. The pubs that he took us to were quintessential Dublin pubs frequented by locals not tourists, and no where that we would have found ourselves. In addition we went the Jameson distillery and had some great seasonal drinks. He also took us to hear a local singer/songwriter who was fabulous! This was the best decision we made during our 10 days in Ireland. Highly highly recommend!

This is a great tour for those that want to get a whole perspective of the city. We were traveling with our teenagers and John was really engaged and knew how to make the history fun for them, I recommend him highly based on his knowledge and professionalism.
