The Scots have one foot in their modern city and one foot in their pagan past – that’s why we love them. Annually, they celebrate the coming of spring with the Beltane Fire Festival on Calton Hill in Edinburgh. Monday, April 30th is the 25th Beltane Fire Festival and there will be a parade of the May Queen, the Green Man, her White Guard, drummers and other guardians of the queen and the fire ritual.
