Brusque Zoo Botanical Park (Parque Zoobotanico de Brusque)
Explore Brusque Zoo Botanical Park on a self-guided tour. Stroll around the botanical gardens, which bloom with orchids and bromeliads throughout the year, and visit exhibits home to jaguars, chimpanzees, tapirs, capuchin and spider monkeys, and anteaters. The park encompasses several lakes inhabited by alligators and turtles, and harbors a number of exotic birds, including green-billed toucans and macaws. There’s also a cable car that transports you to a hilltop farmyard area.
Things to Know Before You Go
There’s an admission fee to enter Brusque Zoo Botanical Park, which is payable in cash only; tickets for the cable car must be purchased separately.
The park has a snack kiosk and children’s playground.
Accessibility is limited for wheelchairs and strollers.
How to Get There
The zoo is located in central Brusque and can be easily reached on foot from downtown hotels and attractions. Alternatively, buses from the central station stop close by.
When to Get There
The zoo is open Tuesday-Friday from 8am-12pm and 1pm-5.30pm, and opens between 8am-5.30pm on weekends.
