Whiskywheels group was great. Our guide Andy was absolutely terrific. The weather cooperated, and our family of 6 are all looking forward to returning for a longer visit.
The only hiccup was that we booked for December 25 since we had a very limited window of opportunity for the visit. We were assured by the Viator rep that this tour was available on that date, but of course it wasn't. Whiskywheels managed to accommodate us with a slight alternatives, and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. Booked here in the past for Champagne, happy to book here again
Euan was a nice and humble guide through out the whole day. The Macallan building was exceptional and the local guide funny. Glenlivet hmmm, but Cragganmore was great.
Maybe 3 distilleries was one too many concidering the 3h hour drive back and forth
The first tour to take you to three top distilleries in one day!

Speyside Whisky Experience by Whisky Trails: Macallan, Glenfiddich, Glenlivet
From $414.54 (Price varies by group size )
Excellent, fully customizable experience!
, Nov 2019
This was probably the best possible way to discover the Highlands. After a short talk Brett, our driver, was able to propose just the right experiences for our needs. I wasn't very interested in Whisky tasting itself (although I drank some excellent whisky at Glenfiddich and Cragganmore), but came here to learn how Whisky is made.
So our tour included one huge, one big and one small distillery, the option to have an talk with one of the masters of the craft as well as a tour around the Speyside cooperage, where I learned about how to treat, use and choose the right cask for the Whisky I want to make.
Expectations exceeded and well worth the money!
Whether you are a whisky aficionado or a complete novice, this Whisky Trail has something for everyone. You will be picked up from where you are staying and transported in comfort, safety, and style to Speyside. This is a private tour and only your group will participate.
If you book between April and October you will visit the big three Speyside distilleries, namely The Macallan, Glenlivet, and Glenfiddich. The agenda is flexible so depending on whether you have chosen to book a tour at one of the distilleries, we will agree the timing for your day before setting off together.
PLEASE NOTE: the Glenlivet Distillery closes from November to March and therefore an alternative distillery will be agreed with you if you decide to book during these months.
At the end of the Whisky Trail, we will head back to your starting point or another location by prior arrangement.
NOTE: Depending on your starting location, the round trip from your location to Speyside could be as much as seven hours.
Stirling Castle, Loch Lomond and Whisky Trail Small Group Day Tour from Glasgow
, Dec 2019
This tour was so amazing. Our guide waited for us! We were a bit confused on where to meet and they let him know. Our guide knew so much about scotland and it was amazing to hear everything he had to say. Sterling castle was brilliant! I love the history there and was thrilled to explore the castle. They also have free tours at the castle so when you stop you dont have to pay for an audio guide. Loch Lohman and all of the lakes were stunning. I now can see why so many ports wrote about them. I dont drink but it was fascinating to learn about how scotch is made! I really enjoyed this tour and would love to do a similar one in another country soon.
Relaxed, slow and unhurried, an experience to remember
, Oct 2019
The highlight of the trip was definitely the visit to the Glengoyne distillery, our driver Graham was amazing, full of fun trivia about the history of Scotland and he played some lovely Celtic songs en route to the various points on the itinerary. Please definitely go on this trip
Did this day trip alone and had an amazing day! The driver Stevie was funny, knowledgeable and professional. He told just the right amounts of history so that the trip was interesting and enjoyable without feeling like a history lecture. The tours were beautiful. The bus stopped for great pictures of Stirling castle he took us up to a small cove for beautiful pictures of Loch Lomond and the highlands. The Glengoyne tour at the end was well worth it. I recommend the Wee Tour with two drams. Highly recommend this trip overall! A fantastic way to spend a day and not tiring like many day tours.

Speyside Whisky Trail with Brett
, Nov 2019
We had an absolutely fabulous tour with Brett! He had the day extremely well organized and laid out. He gave us ample time at each location which kept us on track for the entire day. He prepped us on each of our stops ahead of time, so we knew exactly what to look for and expect. Besides stopping at the distilleries, we also went to a cooperage to see how each of the casks are made individually by hand. We can't recommend Brett highly enough - he's very organized, knows his history, gave us some recommendations of historical places to visit while in the Avimore area and has a great sense of humor
which we thoroughly enjoyed!!
Brett provides a wonderful whisky tour experience!! We had a group of four for two days and Brett guided us through distilleries in Speyside and the Highlands with engaging conversation, stories and insight into which distillers to tour. The car was more than comfortable and he even tended to our luggage while we did a little shopping prior to catching our train.

5-Day Isle of Skye, Oban, St Andrews and North West Highlands Tour
An aweome experience
, Oct 2019
This was an incredible way to see Scotland. Our guide, Callum, was amazing. We saw many historic and scenic sites over the five days. It would not have been possible to organize such a trip on one's own and take in this many sites, I appreciate the insight and knowledge of the tour guide. The trip was well planned and moved along in a very efficient manner. The evening stopping points were all very interesting. The tour group was 16 people and at the end of five days I was sorry to part with this group. Our guide not only provided the narrative of the sites we were seeing, he kept things interesting during the driving. There was singing, dancing (sort of), and games during the driving time. I have no regrets in selecting this tour and give it my highest recommendation.
Breathtaking scenery, beautiful Highland lochs, mountains and glens, ancient castles and historical sites, large vibrant cities and stunning locations. In 5 days we’ll show you all of these plus more of this wee country than any other tour of its length. All lead by your Ness Bus/Hairy Coo Guide.

Welcome to Glasgow, Scotland's biggest and most exciting city! Continues to surprise and has improved so much in recent years it will soon rival Edinburgh tourist numbers. People settled here because of the river Clyde. Christian origins made the foundations for letting Glasgow flourish. The 12th Century Medieval cathedral was a place for holy pilgrimage across Europe. City prospers with Atlantic trade & commerce and population increase with advent of the Industrial revolution. Today the city is more modern and clean, popular to study, shop and eat/drink. I allow you to decide which attraction you prefer to see more to spend your time. Examples, The Kelvingrove Art Gallery & museum a must see attraction for the life and works of Charles Rennie Macintosh. Or the Hunterian museum inside Glasgow University. Or the Clydeside Scotch whisky distillery?
