Libbie and Charles
I had only 2 days to be at the Grand Canyon before needing to be back on the road to California. Using Flagstaff as a base of operations, The Grand Canyon Ultimate Tour was just what I needed to get the most out of Day 1. The tour included just the right amount of incredible views at a comfortable and efficient pace, allowing time to soak up the ambiance and even a short hike. Tim Wilson was an extraordinary guide. His commentaries allowed us to get the most out of the experience. He was extremely knowledgeable about the Grand Canyon and things related including hiking, camping, rafting, area history and Indian cultures.
I would highly recommend this tour for so many reasons. Our tour guide, Dustin, was incredibly well informed about anything we asked him. Even on the ride to the Grand Canyon he gave us the history of things we were seeing. I don't know if we could have easily navigated where we were going without the tour and the history was amazing. We saw old ruins and visited the geology museum and we would not have understood a lot of it without our guide. He even explained about the wildlife and informed us about the plants in the area. And we got to experience lunch on the Navajo reservation. A perfect day!

.The small aircraft trip was delightful. The best part was obviously the helicopter ride through the grand canyon and landing alongside the river. Amazing experience!

Grand Canyon South Rim Day Trip from Las Vegas with Optional Helicopter Tour
Seeing the Grand Canyon for the first time
, Jan 2020
We did the trip to the Grand Canyon on Friday January 24 with Jimmy Vegas as our guide. He did a great job telling us stories and what we were seeing on the way. I would recommend the trip and him as a guide.
My friends and I had an awesome experience with our tour guide, Jimmy Vegas! I was worried about being bored on the long drive from Vegas to the Grand Canyon but Jimmy was very engaging and entertaining! We made some interesting stops along the way and the time went by very quickly! Jimmy led us to the best spots for viewing the magnificent Grand Canyon. I highly recommend this tour!
Our day started out very early and it was just the beginning of a lovely day. It was a long drive to the GC. Our tour guide, Hal, was a great guide. His knowledge of the GC and it’s history was definitely a plus for the group. There were 6 of us. It was a perfect group size.
We were picked up at 6 am and Hal had a morning snack for us.
Our pre ordered lunch was delicious. The little extras were a nice touch.
We stopped numerous times for Hal to Talk about something we saw or answer questions from the group.
4 of us had booked the helicopter tour and Hal made sure we were on time and was waiting when we got back.
I can’t say enough good things about the tour, our guide and our day.

Self-Drive 1-Day Grand Canyon Whitewater Rafting Tour
Caution! If it goes as planned great, but safety not a priority
, Sep 2019
Caution!! Take waiver seriously. While everything went okay on our individual boat, and sights were phenomenal, another boat in our group flipped in the rapids, tossing all occupants and resulting in 2 serious head injuries and life flight. could have been avoided! No helmets are given out, NO instructions as to what to do if you go in. THE MOTOR FAILED on first boat that flipped and another boat the motor simply FELL OFF into rapids. We had to wait for a new motor to be put on our boat before we departed! No radios to communicate between boats. Ripped dry bags for your belongings. Horrible organization of bus rides to and from boats resulting in hour long waits back to your car. A lot of confusion. It was breathtaking, but go in knowing the risks you take. SAFETY was not a priority.
I booked this trip for my husband’s 30th birthday! It’s was so much better than we imagined! Tips: you will get wet and be in those wet clothes the whole time (but you also dry quickly)! Bring your camera with extra memory! They provide water the entire day and provide lunch! Wear sunscreen and a protective hat, you are in the sun most of the day! Shorty was our guide and he was amazing! Bring cash to tip your guide!
I was a little apprehensive at first because of the price being a little above what I wanted to spend, but man I'm glad I did it. The action started right away with our van driver taking us down the winding dirt roads that lead to the river at a pretty good clip, I kinda felt bad for the van. As soon as we got on the raft our guides introduced themselves, gave a few pointers, don't fall off, etc... and it was into the rapids right away! The hike to the cave and waterfall was pretty short, but it was fun climbing the rocks to reach the cave. We continued downriver and hit a few more good rapids, then stopped at a scenic point to stretch our legs before having lunch on the river between rapids. Once past the bigger rapids the views kept us in awe and constantly snapping pictures. We opted not to take the helicopter out of the canyon early and stayed on the raft and ended up spotting a small herd of bighorn sheep. I really can't say enough good about our guides, very knowledgeable and friendly. We went in mid August, it was very hot. I highly recommend wearing lots of sun protection, hat, balaclava, long sleeve shirt, and lightweight fast drying pants, sunscreen will get washed off pretty quickly.
