This is an amazing trip. Tikal is magical. Many of the temples and structures are buried in the jungle, emerging as mounds covered with trees and vegetation. Wild life is around every corner and if you are lucky enough to have a guide as wonderful as ours you will learn so much, with plenty of laughter thrown in.
The views from the top of the temples is incredible, but don’t miss the complex dwelling structures in the grand plaza.
Our flight was delayed in the morning due to fog and we lost 2 hours in the morning waiting at the airport. But still our tour guide made sure that we made most of our tour and we covered all the important places within the park.
It was well organized from my pickup in antigua to dropping me back. I was able to contact the Agent throughout the trip with whatsapp which made things easier with all flight delays and stuff.

The tour was very good. We were picked up on time and given ample time to roam about on our own. The tour guide Eddy was very knowledgeable and was very clear when communicating with the group.
The only problem was that in trying to get in contact with the tour company via their website and email address they were unresponsive and I had to call to confirm pick up place and time.

Our tour was quite excellent. The guide went over and beyond his job and was so very knowledgeable and interesting. We were in Antigua with a guided tour but chose to book this independently. It compared very favourably with the tour our fellow travelers had but had additional stops and points of interest that we really appreciated.
Edwin has his own company, he offers other trips and is very good indeed. Great enthusiasm and historical detail. Strongly recommend Edwin and admire his energy and drive in setting up his business. He has great hopes and ideas for the future to support local people.
If you want to learn about the culture and history of Antigua de Guatemala, you need to take this tour. Edwin was exceptional. We had to cut our tour short and Edwin shares and made sure we understood the history of Antigua. So much to see!
Erwin was great, his English was excellent and he knew so much about Antigua and answered all our questions. Very detailed. We stopped for lunch at an authentic and affordable place, which was great. Patient with our photos and well worth the trip.

Yaxha is the less well-known that its companion city, Tikal. Therefore it is less visited, but equally striking and amazing. The tour with Elmer Alvarado of Tikal VIP Tours was outstanding. Full Day Tour: Chichicastenango Maya Market and Lake Atitlan from Guatemala City
Fun trip to the Mercado and Breathtaking Views of Lake Atitlan!
, Aug 2019
Juan Pablo was a great guide and Cubano was a fantastic driver! Juan Pablo was a wonderful guide! He taught us about Guatemala, the Mayan that live in this beautiful place, the customs and traditions of the Maya, and about the places that we visited. A guide book to Guatemala cannot give the personal information about a place the way that Juan Pablo gave to us. A visit to the Mercado is a must! The views at Atitlan are breathtaking!

It was very fascinating to go into the communities of the various Mayan societies. It was a good boat ride across Lake Atitlan. Panajchel and the Santiago Village were each full of culture and history. During this journey we happened to spend a lot of time with street vendors and dining venues with the objective of returning business to the community which I appreciate. It was a good excursion, however, I would have enjoyed a little more history or direct interaction with members of the Mayan culture.

We went out early at 7 am when the vendors at the market was were still setting up and Calle Real wasn't too busy with pedestrians. It was fun to walk the city streets and connect with local hotels and vendors. We also visited several cathedrals as well as the presidential palace. It was a feast for the eyes and camera. Our driver Juan Carols was also very good - very patient with each stop.
Very good experience.

We had a great time on our group tour with Valerie. She and her partner did a really good job of dealing with our young children, including bathroom breaks and finding us water and snacks when needed. It started to rain during our tour, and we were able to stop until it lessened without feeling like it negatively impacted things. Valerie is a wealth of information regarding many things to do and places to eat in Antigua. I highly recommend this friendly outfit!

Day trip to Iximche and Antigua
, Jan 2020
Basilario, our guide was awesome! As it turned out we were the only ones on the tour. He was informative and we were very lucky to visit Iximche on the Mayan New Year’s and got to observe several ceremonies. Iximche us small compared to other Mayan sites but it was very peaceful and the drive out there was interesting.
Antigua was fine but crowded and we did a lot of walking from where the van was parked. The churches were interesting, stops to the Chocolate Museum and Jade Factory were okay but I would have enjoyed some time to shop.
Basilerio took us to a restaurant where the food was delicious. All in all a good but long day...
