Hong Kong Heritage Museum Tours

Hong Kong Heritage Museum

The Basics
The museum has about 80,000 square feet (7,500 square meters) of exhibition space across 12 galleries, six of which are permanent. Highlights include a gallery of Chinese art with ancient Chinese ceramics, glass, and bronzes; a hall devoted to Cantonese opera; and the Children’s Discovery Gallery, with interactive play zones for children. Special exhibitions range from fashion to Bruce Lee to Japanese animation. The museum houses a 350-seat theater and hosts talks and performances.

When to Get There

You will be given a fascinating glimpse of Hong Kong's rich heritage at Tai Fu Tai, a magnificent stately home which was built in 1865. Nearby is the Tang's Ancestral Hall, built in the 16th century, for clan rituals & ancestor worship.
